Hello everyone, please as regards using ACCA as a second degree, do we include it as full time or part time in the EE profile? Also, I was asked for a copy of a police certificate from England as part of my required documents because of my ACCA country of study. Would a letter of explanation stating it was distance learning suffice? Thanks.

NAME: SANDRA DORIS EKU-OKA (EKU-OKA being a compound name)

Issue: I have the above stated name on all my documents through school and national ID as well, however i made a mistake during my passport application by alternating my middle name with my first, which means Doris has my first name and Sandra as my middle name - Doris Sandra Eku-Oka (what i have in my passport)

Funny enough, both degrees are from the same institution.

CES evaluated my LLB as a PROFESSIONAL DEGREE.

So I started my evaluation January 2020 because IQAS was on a break and I don’t have a masters. I called CES to ask how they evaluate LLB and I wasn’t given any conclusive answer and was asked to make my application. I decided to go with CES since WES and LLB are enemies.

I used WES for Hubby's ECA in sept 2020. Transcript was sent electronically from OAU through Etx-ng to wes 10th of sept and status was updated immediately. I got the ecopy of ECA on 29th of sept 2020. No verification needed. I'll encourage you to try sending your transcript electronically if you intend using WES. It saves processing time. Though I don't know if work is going on now due to ASUU strike. You can pm me so I'll give you the contact of the person that helped with my transcript.

Hiya.

Since it’s a masters degree that is to be evaluated, your friend can try WES. I am currently evaluating my LLB with CES. Submitted my application January 8th 2020, my transcript was received February 24th 2020 and up until now, my ECA is not ready. The only reason I considered them was cos IQAS was on break. If you have the money to request for another transcript, pls go in with CES that way you can use whichever comes out faster.

This is NOT a recent experience......

We used Uni of Toronto CES in 2018, OAU transcripts delivered to them on Oct 29, Status was on stage 1 till Jan 15 when it moved to stage 3. They sent a scanned copy of the ECA for us to review for any errors on Feb 1 (this copy has all the details you need to update on your MyCIC profile). Approx. three months in total - going by that experience your friend should probably get their ECA by the end of this month. I am not aware that they did any verification and the timeline on their website then was 12 weeks, I think (this may have changed due to COVID).

Thanks for your response. I've read on previous post that ATS-ICAN is equivalent of college degree and qualifies, although ACA-ICAN doesn't. I'm asking about ATS-ICAN, do you know anything about that?

Hello all, pls I am searching for anyone that completed their ACCA after moving to Canada and stay in Winnipeg. Yeah, I know it might be difficult seeing as the only ACCA recognized tutorial centre I saw online is in Toronto and not much info on doing ACCA in Canada on the web, however I know it is doable and I will really appreciate practical tips. Even if you started ACCA here, maybe as a path to CPA and stay in Winnipeg, please I need your guidance, kindly PM me.

Thanks bro. IELTS 8,7,7,7 is far too low to meet current score even with my PhD cos of age and addition of family. Even IELTS 9,9,9,9 gives me 461.

Ok thanks alot but WES requires I include WAEC is it necessary for myself and my spouse and I read on nairaland its advised to put a foreign address for delivery. Hope that won't affect my application for the Express entry because it would carry my Nigerian address

Please I just started the process for myself and my husband. And am new to nairaland. Pls i need help on the best ECA to use. WES or ICES. I have a foreign masters degree in marketing and my husband has a Nigerian BSc degree in IT. Heard ICES accepts emailed transcript from schools and no extra verification like WES. Pls advice. And for job reference letter is it for myself and husband and is it from your recent employer or all past employers including NYSC. Pls my people help me ooooo. ThANKS.

From a friend :
We processed transcript from Federal poly-Ado to WES. We wanted to use Etx-ng but the school claimed they don't do that and they have never used that before. Our contact suggested that we should scan and forward the scanned copies to WES directly using the email the school regularly used for verification of transcript. The school did and gbam! - WES accepted the e- transcript.
I never knew such could be accepted because I read on WES website that only few schools have such opportunity. We were still planning to send the hard-copy via Fedex.
After few days, they told us that they have sent verification email to Ado again, before I paid for verification, WES sent another email for the completion date for my report. I have my ECA now without sending hard copy and with no verification-.

It was a surprise to me.

The education history column was not ticked good while others where ticked good. It indicates in progress. Will this be an issue?

My wife is the primary applicant and her ECA is ready. But FUTO is still looking for my transcript for over a year now and we can't keep waiting. In filling up the profile, Is it advisable to put yes in the education history column and then No for ECA? What are the implications pls. I have my original certificate as proof that I went to school.

Thanks for your response. I didn’t have to do my evaluation with WES becos I schooled in Canada.

Although i saw a friend's ECA report and noticed that it was very similar to his reference number from WES with 'IMM' added after the reference. I kinda assumed that my spouse's would be of similar format and i could use that in the interim (i.e. reference number + IMM). Except i am mistaken (reason for my doubt) and the eCA number is totally different or not always similar to the said format.

Hello guys. I need clarification on this

I have roughly (7000 usd) in my SALARY dorm account (deposited and untouched since dec 2019) and then my naira savings account with the same bank which I use only for savings has had an average of 1.5m and has grown to 3.1m over the course of this 6 months period.


Now, is it okay to use that as my POF? I don’t want the Visa officer to think that I get Money from people and deposit cash. Or should I transfer the funds to mutual funds? I’m confused

Do I need a HR certification for this NOC- To apply for express entry u don't need a certification, you might need it to work later in Canada but not required for PR application.

Also which other NOC is close what I do and has frequently come up in the EE Draws and PNP-- Please do the research yourself, you know your job description, search for the matching NOC yourself.

Meanwhile I created an SINP profile and my total is 67. Which other PNP can I apply for with my scores below- other provinces select from the pool and you might be lucky, hang in there[/b]

I got into the pool September. My score is 471.
If on the next draw, the cut off is 469 with a tie breaker of August 8th for example, am I going to get an ITA? Or is it only going to be people that got into the pool with 469 and above, before August 8th that would receive an ITA?
