I really need a candid advice at this point. A friend is currently using CES for the evaluation of his master degree. He passed his IELTS yesterday with CRS at 478. CES has been very slow due to covid. He is currently on stage 2 of the evaluation and this will go through 6 stages in total. His transcript ( OAU) was acknowledged received Aug 27th 2020. He is thinking of switching to WES because of CES slow processing time and also uncertainty with CRS cut off these days. He is so confused on what to do. Please has anyone use CES recently- please share experience Do you advise he start all over with WES, has any one processed OAU transcript recently, any candid ideas or suggestion is welcomed. Thanks my people. |

Jay35: Please my good people, I need urgent answer to this. A friend just got married in November and want to add his spouse, he submitted his application in October this year. He called IRCC and was told his score will be recalculated since he will be adding spouse. I argued with him that that is not true that from all I have seen and heard on this platform - Score will not be recalculated for someone that married after AOR and add spouse. Please I need someone that add wife recently to please signify and confirm if score was recalculated. Please this will save a life. Thanks. |

freshpzy1: Do yourself good favour by going through page 1 With HND - your qualification is good - claim point for 2 or more certificate How many years of experience do you have - u need 3 years at least to have a good score What is ur age Ielts score Learn french All these will determine your score. My candid advice- get a note, start reading, go through page 1 and digest all you can, Then come and ask specific questions. Good luck! 2 Likes |

llade: With God, dedication and commitment - all things are possible Take your time to read, digest page 1 Let me help you in a way, - check your likely score using the CRS calculator: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp With you as PA because of age your score will be low, Check if your wife can be PA. Then- there are chances that you might be lucky to be in the pool and get selected by any of the provinces You can check if Saskatchewan works for you, You can start learning French, You can sponsor your siblings to join you in the race , this might be a long term plan, if your sibling land in provinces with good family invitation package, you can leverage on that. In all, it is possible. Good luck |

shopil: How many times have you written the IELTS- hmm I wrote "6 times". I had my breakthrough on the sixth attempt . I have friends you wrote 9 times even more. This whole journey requires dedication and commitment. You are over qualified with PR. Go to the forum for Express entry and seek help. Someone teaches "ielts writing" for free on that platform. Again, SINP might also fit into your profile - you should have chances there- go to the PNP forum and seek help At 30 years - you still have good chance. Have you consider learning French, spouse non-accompanying route - don't waste time too much before age still away all your opportunities. Good luck. 5 Likes |

milkytins: I know how you feel it will surely end in praise. My candid advice is to venture into Express entry, I think you are in IT related field. You might be lucky to get Ontario nomination- they picked lots of IT related NOC these days. Have you considered non- accompanying spouse route if that will boost your score. Have you considered learning French language, What of your spouse- any chances from that angle. Have you checked Saskatchewan PNP- you might be lucky too Go to the NL forum for Express entry and learn more. You can as well reapply for SP- there is always a miracle if you don't give up. No time to waste. Good luck. 5 Likes |

Eriobo1: Are you sure you filled it well- WAEC is not required again. If you put foreign address you will pay HST - extra cost but with Naija address no HST. All you need is the soft copy which you will download once your evaluation is done. Use your Nigeria address to save cost. Eriobo1: Welcome on board, For foreign certificate - use WES - fast and no verification for foreign cert. For Nigerian cert- it depends on the school and how fast the school logistic and bureaucracy can be resolved. Because of covid restrictions - WES is the fastest channel for now. Letter of reference is for Principal applicant ONLY and for all experiences from which you will claim points. Spouse will submit reference letter if there is Canadian experience. Sit down, go to page 1, read and read - read cic website and be well informed. Good luck. |

Sashafm: I know how you feel with the 15 points added to your score.. But I would say " take a deep breath and calm down". If your score is 479 and there is no possibility of losing points in the few weeks coming - I would say relax. Take a look at your profile and see if you have transmitted it, it might be network. You can always come back to it. if the profile does not eventually work, create a new one, your score is very high so no issue. The main thing I will also suggest is this, let your sister complete her PR documentation before you claim "15 points"( my opinion) - " not sure if there is any implication to that though". Since she is in Canada already it will be very fast, you have waited this long - the few weeks to get her documentation done should not be an issue. Anyway it is just a suggestion - this journey requires patience. Good luck. 9 Likes 1 Share |

Betterlife2018: Just to confirm this again, someone just did same as narrated above and transcript was accepted by WES. Guys if you know you can adopt the above by requesting that your school scan your transcript and send to WES via the "appropriate email address" used by the school for all correspondences with WES, it might save time and money. Just my two cent. Good luck 6 Likes 4 Shares |

SeniorGee: I can't really remember all these. But NOC is not related to education history and I am sure there will be a question that says "will you provide ECA for this- for now tick NO since your own ECA is not ready". If it is not ticked as "complete" then it means you are still missing out something in that section. Go over it again and hope you can figure it out. Anyways, you can always edit any information at any time before you get ITA. 1 Like |

SeniorGee: Are you claiming point from your education? If NO, then you can add details of study under personal history and NO for ECA since your education will not contribute any point. But if you are planning to add point from education ECA is compulsory. ECA is not compulsory for accompanying spouse if score is good enough. I hope it helps. |

KlausMike: Young man, I would say "calm down" and get everything right. If her WES is at the stage of evaluation - I want to guess from experience that within 2 weeks, all should be done and ECA issued. If you score is in the range of "470ish" with spouse accompanying, then nothing to worry. ITA will surely come soon. Even those on 468 have strong faith. Don't assume REF number in my opinion. This journey requires patience. My opinion 7 Likes |

I just want to drop this information, possibly someone might try it with WES. From a friend : We processed transcript from Federal poly-Ado to WES. We wanted to use Etx-ng but the school claimed they don't do that and they have never used that before. Our contact suggested that we should scan and forward the scanned copies to WES directly using the email the school regularly used for verification of transcript. The school did and gbam! - WES accepted the e- transcript. I never knew such could be accepted because I read on WES website that only few schools have such opportunity. We were still planning to send the hard-copy via Fedex. After few days, they told us that they have sent verification email to Ado again, before I paid for verification, WES sent another email for the completion date for my report. I have my ECA now without sending hard copy and with no verification-. It was a surprise to me. NOTE- It was a friend's experience 10 Likes 2 Shares |

Ih123: To my best understanding- don't give urself unnecessary headache. If the money is yours and gotten from accumulated savings from your salary, your payslips will prove that. In my opinion, you can just add 1 or two copies of payslips if that will make you sleep well. POF must not always come as gift deed, your sole accumulated savings can be POF. At least your reference letter will show ur annual pay, so why the panic. Leave the money the way it is, get your bank letters in CIC format , write simple LOE if you feel like, add one or two months payslips to show that you actually earn such. Your savings is your savings, if those savings came from any sale of item or investment or it came from your salary just explain it- simple. Good luck good luck. |

Nma86: I will give little hint here see above Where is your "wife to be" "does she have a master " " is she below 30 years" "can she speak French" "can you also learn French" Those are ways you can increase your score before age erode all your opportunities. Be smart. Good luck. |

Yellowmellow: The rule will affect those on exactly 469- if the draw score is 469. It simply means anyone with 469 but entered the pool after August 8 will not be selected. All other persons above 469 will be selected. and those with 469 but submitted on or before August 8. 2 Likes |

lupeepace: I hope you know that with MSC , there is no need for another certificate. It is only those with Bsc. that need extra certificate to boost points- hence the need for ICAN ATS, CIMA, ACCA and the likes. Lets be guided well, and endeavor to read the thread well too. Use CIC website as well. 2 Likes |

Ladywinterfell: Just still wondering if he actually got the 15 points in the first place. Because I was expecting that the system should not recognize the 15 points for him since he initially filled spouse not accompanying. Not too sure on this though! I am not sure how the system calculates this. For those who have gone through this before, please help look into it for @Ganzallo. @Ganzallo- please look into the composition of your points first and be sure before taking any step. ITA is now expensive and doing it right is mandatory 1 Like |

Ganzallo: I think you might need to decline the ITA to avoid stories that touch, except if your score minus 15 points is still within the cut off mark that gave you the ITA. It is better you do right than to spend money and time. My two cent opinion. If your wife can add more points to you via ielts and/or ECA, why not calm down and explore that and then you can still add 15 points from BIL Just make sure you are doing it right! This journey requires patience. All the best. 5 Likes |

Ladywinterfell: Mrsc22:
Hello everyone, Great job on the write ups and tips it has been really enlightening. I have 2 questions please, 1. I received my ITA yesterday but didn't include my wife and son as that would have dropped my score and the money to move once no be here, but I added them to my application as not accompanying, now I'm being asked why, is it safe to say lack of funds or a more diplomatic excuse? Pls anyone with experience should help as I'm in uncharted waters. 2.Can a brother in law stand as a relative when the wife is included in the application but not accompanying. Thanks once again.
Points for siblings in Canada You can now earn 15 additional points if you (or your spouse or common-law partner who will come with you to Canada) have a brother or sister who is: living in Canada and a citizen or permanent resident of Canada To get these points, the brother or sister must also be 18 years old or older related by blood, marriage, common-law partnership or adoption have a parent in common I hope this helps. 1 Like |

Rapture07: I want to believe YES you can use your previous medical. Medical is valid for one year and it is not tie to application. From my personal experience - I submitted the medical report I did for my study permit during my PR application because it was still valid at the point of submission. I passed medical with it but eventually got to do a new one ( as requested by IRCC) because it got expired while the application was ongoing and I have not gotten PR at the time of the expiration. So you can use it. All the best. |
