olasubomy: Dear All,
Please i have a question, would it matter if First degree was 2 years (300 level and 400 level). I have the folllowing
- First Degree in Accounting from Babcock Univeristy but 2 years
- ICAN Certificate
- ATS Certificate
What do you think about evaluation of these documents please and how do i go about the WES evaluation, i am clueless about it. How did u achieve the bolded. The requirement for claiming "2 more or cert" is that one of the cert must be at least 3 years- Anyway WES has the final say here- ur ECA report will tell u if u can claim 2 or more cert. WES might still evaluate ur BSC accounting as 3 years - just start the process here- www.wes.org and hope for the best. |

OlakunmiSMELTD: Thank you for the indepth
To explain better . Ontario documents was 1. Msc 2. 6 years working experience IT 3. IETLS 8.0 4. My cousin ( son to my father's elder brother) who have permanent resident in Canada
Which gives me 467 point, and that's why they invited me to apply and pay 1500CAD. To really understand ur point - When completing EE profile- did u select cousin and did u have point awarded for cousin "which I doubt". You will only be awarded point if you had selected him as a brother. If this is the case - he is not your brother he is ur cousin - then your 467 is wrong from the beginning. You only received nomination from Ontario based on the information you have on EE profile and if the infor is wrong - then I am not sure if u can proceed. I know it is really hard now getting nomination - but it is better to do it right. #myopinion |

vegwaoje: Goodevening house, please I need help and advice. What is the implication of having three names on certificate and having just two on passport( first and last name )? My opinion, there is no issue if the names are actually urs. You can do a letter of explanation to address it or sworn an affidavit of "one same person" see copy on page 1 The main thing is your name as it is written on your passport should be used for your application. |

Mmamaroon: LOEs are a God-send.....just attach a two line LOE stating you decided to convert to foreign currency because of volatility of the Naira.....you may include the Naira statement to show you had the money previously if you like. If the DOM account is in the same bank where your Naira account is, great! Their bank ref letter can indicate you have been a client since 19XX!
#PersonalOpinion
If you are a serious efiko that likes plenty wahala you can include bureau de change receipt of FX conversion and chart of naira versus CAD rates to buttress your point about how yama yama our money has been over x years! Thanks so much. well noted. |

I think it’s better for everybody to increase his or POF if it’s in naira o Do you think if some one decides to open a dorm account now because of the fluctuation in rate, will there be an issue given that the account will be new one say "few weeks old" before submission of application. Please seniors advise- can a dorm account opened within two weeks to submission be for POF bank reference. Hope the date of opening the account wont cause any problem. |

Deolaw: I so much appreciate your response. 1. I'm 31 yrs old. I have spent quite a lengthy number of years in a few jobs but I have spent 2 years+ You both have good chance. Continue to read page 1, get a note and put down points as u learn- let me help u small: Estimate what ur score will be- u could be on 472 if u max out ielts as Principal applicant and wife also max out. Ur wife has a good age to be the principal applicant but with only bsc, score will be very low. She needs additional cert, does she have nce, or nd or ATS. She can go for additional cert to increase her chance of acting as PA - check page 1 for sample of short courses. It depends though, both of u should start the process fast, score is dropping hopefully it will remain. You need to evaluate ur credentials- Write ielts Read more on cic.gc.ca. dont forget to use the search button. I know u will have plenty questions , all which have been answered. Search with key words and u will be amazed of plenty answers. All the best. |

Please I wish to start freshly and would love to know if I am not too late. What are my chances as a married man - with my wife and son, civil servant and MSc holder?
I won't mind if I can be directed to a post that will simplify everything to me. Please help as I am so determined.
Thank you Welcome - you are not late How old are u, how many years of work experience, how old is your wife, what is ur wife highest qualification ( qualifications), years of experience of wife. You need to write ielts General training, and max out all score in all sections LWRS -say 8 8 8 8 ( as example). You need to estimate ur score and see what is ur chance like. https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.aspRead page 1 and use the search button above too. All the best. |

korodejvo: wow 15 weeks. but IQAS timeline is just as long if not longer. if they don't accept paper transcript does this mean I'll have to get my uni to email them my official transcript instead? and pls how much did your cousin pay? 210 or 311? lastly, was it a law degree your cousin evaluated? Thank you He paid $210, we used a Canadian address for delivery. You dont even need hard copy because after the completion of the evaluation they will send u ectopy to download. You can use someone address who is living in canada already. I cant remember if that was what made the cost to be $210 though. They have the email address on the website- check it He evaluated a master degree. |

korodejvo: I've been trying to pay with IQAS for over a week now with no success. It keeps on saying daily limit exceeded. I actually dk how long CES takes but I saw a 7 to 9 week timeline when I checked (if this is inaccurate please tell me). I'm trying to evaluate an LLB so when I saw that @Ebuncrown was able to get a professional degree with them and IQAS wasn't forthcoming I decided to give it a shot Hmm, CES took 15 weeks for my cousin ( u can check my previous post) . There is notification on their website now that they have stopped accepting paper transcript due to covid restriction. My cousin submitted e-transcript though. So if you know that u have more time to yourself, I would say go for CES- just hope for between 15-20 weeks after your e-trancript is received. Please Go through their recent communications for perfect guidance. all the best. |

NaijaGoingMaple: The golden email visited us yesterday. It's PPR and we're grateful for the faithfulness of our God who's made this possible.
On this journey, every opportunity is golden, don’t procrastinate. For instance, if we had taken another IELTS to improve our scores and possibly max out on all; we’d have gotten the surprise ITA of 437 in January 2019. Since getting an ITA directly under the Federal Skill Workers stream was out of our reach given our ages, we started learning French by 3rd quarter of 2018 as that was the only option aside provincial nomination. The latter (Provincial nomination: Self-employed, tailoring NOC) that got us the ITA, and the rest they say is history. ! Hi, please can u explain this part well- did u get Prov nomination with tailor as experience - I also sent you PM. |

A LESSON TO LEARN Let's do all we can to perfect our applications pls
Copied from canadavisa
Long read.
But bear with me AOR Sep 7, 2018. FSW-O, Nigerian Citizen and Resident. Family of 2 (or so I thought). I am the Primary Applicant PPR:Mar 26, 2019, Visa&COPR: Apr 26, 2019 So with the above in ind, wifey and I set about quitting our jobs, selling off our remaining assets, running down the lease, As an accountant, I already started the process of getting my CPA. Apart from the obvious physical stuff, there was also the mental side of getting ready to move to a foreign country. We set a travel date of Jun 20, 2019. Just for kicks, we splurged on Business Class tickets for the one-way trip (twas EgyptAir- still cheaper than economy class of other airlines). Touchdown in YYZ on Jun 21,2019.
At this point you are wondering, isn't this the normal landing gist we dey usually read
After the CBSA officer questions my wife about family composition, she says she cannot land us. Because my wife says she has a 10 year old daughter but the CBSA officer says she cannot find her in the application. We vehemently argue that my wife's daughter is on the application and she should check the system carefully. After a few hours, the CBSA officer allows us into Canada but landing is not completed as she holds on to our passports and asks us to return to the airport on Jul 5, 2019. At this point, we were still unclear as to what we had done wrong. In the intervening period, and after contacting IRCC, I found out that the mistake is indeed mine. While it was indeed true that while we listed my wife's daughter in the family section of my wife, I did not list her IN the application as my stepdaughter so she didn't go through admissibility tests. The error was mine but I am slightly upset that this is something that should have been caught and addressed by the IRCC when reviewing the application. not really making any excuses, but it never did occur to me that I had a stepdaughter when filling the forms. With benefit of hindsight, when we received the COPR and my wife's COPR did not at least have a dependant listed, it should have triggered something I saw that but I thought that well the IRCC had gone through everything and if there was a problem they would let me know. Back to the timeline, Jul 3, 2019: IRCC sends me a letter to include my step daughter in the application. Forms, birth certificate and international passport. We have 30 days to provide the information. Jul 5, 2019: we return to the airport for the CBSA interview where she informs us that our visas had been cancelled without prejudice and we were to leave Canada immediately (Voluntarily though). Somehow, we were lucky because all the flights were booked and we were able to get our things to leave on July 8 Jul 10, 2019: We return to Lagos, Nigeria after a 2 day journey. Later that night, I get a Procedural Fairness Letter to provide the same information in the letter of July 3. This time, only 7 days was given as the deadline. Not sure why I received this. Jul 15, 2019: Submit the information required. If there was any delay, it was because we had to get an International Passport for my stepdaughter. Jul 16, 2019: Receive Medical form for my stepdaughter. Profile updated we are now a family of 3, Stepdaughter is non-accompanying. Jul 21, 2019: Stepdaughter Medical Passed Silence afterwards Aug 9, 2019: Our (My wife and I) medicals expire More silence. Aug 20, 2019: Office of Ralph Goodale assists in confirming status " ...As before, eligibility, criminality, and security checks are passed. Medicals are expired. The response to the Procedural Fairness letter is awaiting review. Timelines are not available." Today: still waiting
Side note: Returning to Nigeria now means that we have no jobs, no place of our own to live, no car etc. I moved our POF funds to Canada in anticipation of the "once in a lifetime" move and to get the money back, another story. It should be easy to reintegrate back to a country where I have lived almost all my life but It does not necessarily happen to be the case. Trying to get a temporary job is a nightmare. The irony is that my wife is now expecting "our kid". Chances that a new medical will be required is high and with Xrays and stuff, who knows how long this will take.
Not sure why I am sharing this here, maybe it's therapeutic. Lessons have been learnt. Just hoping for this to end. |

Stevewonder: Good evening all,
Please I'm asking this for my fiancee. She passed IELTS already and her ECA has been ready for months. She wants to create profile now but someone says she needs NOC before she can create a profile even after IELTS and ECA. Please all, how true is this? Very true. She needs to pick NOC that fits to her job experience. This is very key. NOC cant fall under NOC C. She will need that information while creating the profile. I will suggest this, kindly take your time to read through cic.gc.ca. That should be your main source of information. If you are not clear on it, go to page 1 - there are plenty resources in there already. Use the search button to clear doubts- plenty people have asked these questions before and answers were provided. Please read and understand the process so you will not be misguided. There might be draw next week - so fiancée should create profile as soon as possible to take advantage if score is high enough. Good luck. |

Please has anyone use CES recently- please share experience Do you advise he start all over with WES, has any one processed OAU transcript recently, any candid ideas or suggestion is welcomed.
Thanks my people. Please I need information if anyone is going through that process or know someone that just recently register for the exam. Please if u can refer me to any group to ask, kindly help.
Sent payment and registration form to BC for over 1 week and just got the response below:
Thanks for your mail.
Your email has been forwarded to my colleagues, however do note that we are yet to commence the ACCA on demand.
We are looking into commencing soon, the exact date and time is still unknown.
However, my colleague in charge of this will send you a mail as soon as this commences to notify you about the necessary information needed before the test.
This is really frustrating, they are not picking calls, took over 1 week to get the above response after sending payment. Please I need help |
