As the name suggests, it allows the holder to enter the Schengen area only once. Once the he/she leaves the Schengen area, the visa expires, and the holder is not allowed to enter again (without getting a new visa), no matter how small of a duration the visa holder spent in the Schengen area.
People,
Can some one with single entry ESTAS Schengen Visa travel from France to Madrid by flight (round trip)? Without violating rule ( I mean exit)or it has to be by train. This one public transport is on strike..

I can imagine it's the experience. You should come back when Paris is better. davodyguy: The whole idea is to make our visit worthwhile by making ourselves happy.
Batobus the Seine River Cruise operator cancelled the cruise on the claim that Seine River water level has risen.
We then decided to do the Tour Eiffel today using RER to Gare Du Nord then Subway to Saint Michel Notre Dame, and thereafter taking Bus 82 from Luxembourg to Eiffel tower.
It was almost smooth when going and the return leg was worse.
Hopefully, if time permits and God's grace we would return in 2020 or 2021.
I'll just try to enjoy the final days here in Paris |

I hope your holiday is going on not so bad... Had to check Livry Gargan online; Never heard of it... It's quite some transport distance from Paris and I can imagine what you must have gone through so far. I do wish you as much fun as possible though. |

Oh no. It's always the case with the Ro people in Paris key pick pockets . Lol if you know you Hope the strike ends soon though but seems far fetched. It's getting harder... https://www.connexionfrance.com/French-news/France-s-strike-actions-set-to-continuedavodyguy: No society is free from crimes and criminals, and it's also not possible for the system to apprehend them all.
I was almost robbed today at the Subway at Gare Du Nord in Paris.
Due to the protests today, most of the buses didn't operate fully and we were forced to use Subway enroute to Louvre via Chǎtelet
At M4 platform as we were about entering the train, I just saw a white fist reaching for my pocket in an attempt to pull out my purse and phone. My Naija sense at play, I caught the lady and hit her fist off.
A lot of people in the train then said that's how they do in Paris, stealing purses and phones.
I had ₦20,000 $78 €700 in the purse.
That would have been disastrous in this Buhariconomics.
Anyone coming to France now should watch it and wait till after the strike |

Your travel profile looks good that should speak well in their favour however, if your wife is employed she should include her work documentation as well as her bank statement irrespective of the sponsor and bank balance as at the day of printing. If she is a homemaker, do well to include a detailed letter of introduction for her and also her bank statement irrespective of the sponsorship. This goes to show she has a financial standing even as a homemaker. Lastly , it's more of your responsibility as the sponsor to provide everything as required for the application. For tours its ideal you get cancellable /refundable tours. Check Expedia tours. Read the terms and conditions that apply. mikylon: Good day fam, I intend travelling with my family of 5 to france and Amsterdam, hopefully do 8days in france and 6 days in amsterdam sometime in June as that my available vacation window. The kids school would still be in session, that shouldnt be a problem as the most senior is 3yrs old. My question is do my my wife also have to provide her bank statement being that i am the major sponsor and its going to be there first international travel. I have been to norway (once) and amsterdam (twice) for official work. So this would be our first trip for tourism as a family. Also the itinerary of event to support the document for submission at VFS, do i need to pay for the tours or a reservation will do. (which sites can i use in making the tours booking). |

Please Dont be Frustrated. Planning is key. Set a target for 2020. Be calm and focus If you are thinking to go through Studies, check the student page for France and German here on nairaland. Check for schools via Campus France and DAAD respectively. Getting the right documentation to stay legal in Europe would do you a lot of good. Qlibra: Phew..I really don't know what to say.. It's quite frustrating though cos I all I'm thinking of is how to leave here..I understand your point though especially with the fact that France is speaks just french, that alone is a problem.. |

My dear, living as an illegal immigrant right about now is the worst decision ever. I would advise you seek other ways like going to Further your Education or blue card through getting a Job offer. Qlibra: I wish you luck and hope your Visa is granted.. I'm thinking of applying too. I'm so desperate to leave Nigeria that I'm just thinking of the easiest way to get out. Heard France is a very cool country. A friend in Italy suggested I apply if I can but I don't know how to go about it.

Congrats.... omoalison: Greetings all.
Just to let you guys know that my mum just got her France visa. 6 months multiple entry, even though I applied for single entry, 6 weeks. She submitted last monday and received it this monday. One week!!! Purpose was to visit me as I will be delivering by month end. But I didn't use delivery as principal reason, I used visit me and also take advantage of the visit to see her grandchild.
I included : Mum utility bill
An attestation d'accueil from the mairie. Invitation letter My stay permit (which was valid till april next year) + my Nigerian passport My pay slips bank statement light bill Photo with my mum to show ties Letter from my sisters children's school to say my mum is the primary care taker of my nieces/nephews Letter from the gynecologist saying I live alone and so I'm lonely and desire family around me for child birth (but I read many comments online concerning both US, UK visa applicants that embassy doesnt respect that reason, so I just included it at the end of my letter. I instead stressed on visit and holiday for my mum etc).
BUT I also had my fiancé (foreigner) do the same thing too. Letter to say he supports my mum to come and her coming will encourage me since he lives in a different city. Pay slip salary.
I hope this helps. NB: My younger sister was refused visa for school two months ago despite paying fees etc. and having a complete file. The reason they gave was incomplete/unreliable documents.
Thanks for answering my questions. Merry Christmas in advance to all. |

When filing your Schengen visa application form, if you indicated France and Amsterdam then Add both hotel bookings and show tour itinerary for both countries. If you didnt indicate going to both countries on the form but just to France, do the itinerary for your days in Paris. When your visa is out you can do as you please. Lee310: Good morning house. Please I need to know how to go about this.
I plan on spending 5 days in Paris and 2 days in Amsterdam. Do I need to add the hotel bookings of both or I should just make one booking for my France alone and when my visa is out I can make other reservation.
Also my itinerary, should it include my trip to Amsterdam or I should just make it all France alone and add others when my visa is out.
Thank you. |

Unfortunately Nigeria doesnt qualify for a 3 months Visa. Once you input your country it reads only 30days. josephb: Hi, Also in an Event a three month evisa is granted, and your Schengen visa expires shortly after a month, can the evisa still be used? Yes it can be granted as long as it's still valid within the period of travel. You should use either Turkish airlines,,Pegasus airline, onur air or Atlasglobal Airlines. Those are the prerequisites for a Turkish E visa. In event you fly another airline from the above mentioned, you dont qualify. You can do multi cities booking- lagos -cdg- Istanbul- lagos with Turkish airlines. josephb: Hi, Can a Turkish E-visa be granted for holders of single entry Schengen Visa? |

Unfortunately, there's no way to extend a Schengen tourist visa beyond 90 days. However, with some money in the bank, ingenuity and paperwork, it is possible to obtain a long-term visa in a specific Schengen country, which will work as a valid visa for the entire Schengen zone.
Apply for a long-term visa in France, Spain, Sweden, Italy or Germany. Research which country's long-term visa works best for the travel plans. For instance, some countries have longer application turnarounds than others. These visitor visas grant travel for one year at a time and while they don't require proof of study, they do require proof of sufficient funds. They want reassurance that there is no work being done illegally, so it is necessary to show proof that of self support. No set amount is listed by any of these countries.

Is your friend sending you the Attestation d'accueil document? I suppose that's the letter of invitation you stated here. In my opinion, if this is your first time applying, get all the necessary documentation from your friend, if possible a cancellable tour voucher showing both your names. Remember they what to see and know how you would be spending your time with the said friend. Haywhey: Do I need Travel Tour Guide if I am visiting a friend who sent me an invitation? |
