No. Just explain in your cover letter on your next application. Everyone is aware of the current situation
around the world.

I got my visa approved . I was given one month single and entry . Now my questions is I can’t use the visa at the moment because of the corona visa . Hence I have canceled all travel plans .

Hope I will not have an issue when I reapply because I didn’t use the visa ?
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Beverlyhills: 8:46am On Mar 16, 2020
Decisions about visa applications must normally be made within 15 days.

In some cases applications will require further enquiry or documentation, in these cases, the maximum processing time is 30 days.

In certain situations, a Danish embassy will be required to ask the Danish Immigration Service to process an application; here the processing time can be up to 60 days.

Application processing time counts from the time an admissible application is submitted at a diplomatic mission or visa application centre. 'Admissible' means that the mission has decided that the minimum Schengen conditions for submitting an application have been met.

Citizens of certain countries or categories of certain citizens are subject to prior consultation in one or more Schengen countries before a visa may be issued. The processing time in these cases will usually be 10-12 days as a minimum.

Chi4321:
Hi everyone!
I applied for a visitors Visa to Denmark, on the 19th of February to meet with my husband .
We got married on the 8th of January.

My husband lives in Denmark , and I was supposed to be visting for 41 days... we booked a flight for 18th of March (2 days time)
On the 27th of Feb I got a Call from the Embassy, and my husband got a mail in Denmark to confirm that he was invitIng me.... which he replied to immediately.
I was hopefully that within 2 days after the interview, I would get a message to pickup my passport !
Until now (16th of March), no messages.... nothing else !
Could anything be wrong huh

I included this documents during my application
1. Letter of invitation from my husband
2. His passport data page
3. My husbands residency permit .
4. His 6 months pay slip
5. My Saving statement of account (10 million naira)
6. My 4 business statement of account (1million naira)
7. My business registration certificate
8. Marriage certificate
9. Our wedding pictures (with family and friends)
10. Reference from the 2 banks I use .
...
Please,
Does anyone have an idea, why they havnt returned my passport yet ?
I booked a flight for 18th of this month, will this have an effect on the Visa?
I am so confused right now, as I was told it would take less than 15 days to get approval , now it’s almost 1 month .
Please reply, thanks !

You have been answered already. However, with the UK visa your best bet is the Turkish Evisa but you must use turkish airline.

Go on line , pick your dates and pay. Thats all

1blessing:
Exactly my enquiry, pls I need an urgent and correct response, or rather any other airline I can transit tru, maybe turkey which i can benefit entering for few hours or a day without going tru rigorous visa process in nigeria. I just want to take advantage of the UK visa.

TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Beverlyhills: 2:47pm On Mar 08, 2020
On the VFS website, you pick a date and in the payment section you are expected to pay VFS service charge of N 9,300 on line through Sterling Bank to VFS Abuja( dont panic even if you picked Lagos)Cuŕrently, i dont know if the booking errors have been sorted out.

Someone i know walked in to submit on thursday last week after putting a call across to their Customer service.

The Visa fee of €80 is to be paid for upon Submission.
So if you are having same difficulty best call them .

In this case, you can use 3months of your salary account since you have a paid verifiable employment.
Create a tie with that.

Avoid packing funds , if you can give it 4 months space and get 3 months bank statement printed .

Where do you reside? If you have been redirected to lagos kindly do as directed.
Except for reasons like you are relocating to a near by state under the Northern Zone jurisdiction or temporary transfer . If you insist on submitting there you will sign an undertaking which may not bè in your favour.

quote author=Stanleych007 post=87136877]Please I need urgent advice. I was at the VFS Abuja office to submit today and was told that I am meant to submit in Lagos VFS office owing to my residential address. I am almost frustrated considering the fact that I have already traveled from a distance with my wife and little child to submit in Abuja. I was given an option to submit only if I write an undertaken stating reasons why I need to submit my application in Abuja. Please can someone advice me on what option to take and if there’s been anybody who was in this same situation.
quote author=Colourisblack post=87034362]Good afternoon.

Please can someone advise me. I will provide some context.

My fiancé lives in Lagos, we would like to travel to Paris for Easter. He currently works for a reputable company, however he only earns #265,000. He has no additional income, however he can be financially supported by me and his family.

We have previously visited Dubai together (Nov’19), the visa process was fairly straight forward.

In regards to applying for a French visa, in his introduction letter are there any specific things he should mention? (i.e. That I’ll be travelling with him). I will be arranging the hotel reservation, would it be better if it was in his name?

Lastly, ideally how much should he have in his account during the visa process/interview stage please? Please can I be advised on how heavily the embassy scrutinises, bank statements- will he need to account for the funds in his account?

Thank you very much for taking the time to read this.
You may add that. Make sure your flight itinerary shows the multicity.

Do well to follow the Coronavirus story in the Schengen region.

Stay safe.

TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Beverlyhills: 7:51pm On Feb 27, 2020
Usually you have 24 hours to get to them in order to keep your original booking. After this grace period its considered fully cancelled. Act fast..

.quote author=adelforreal post=87009351]Thanks for the response. I actually booked directly with my card details and kept to the terms of the booking.

I just submitted yesterday and VFS confimred that my application has been delivered to the french embassy.

My issue now is that even if i am able to secure another booking from the same hotel, the reservation number will not be the same with what has been submitted already. i'm even confused now despite all the efforts i put into getting this right.
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Beverlyhills: 7:48pm On Feb 27, 2020
The hotel is very much confirmed .

Your Hotel Accommodation is very important, that's why are private visits applicants required to get the Attestation D’Accueil to show you will be accomodated by the person

Flights should not be paid for until the visa is approved.

For the hotels, alot have no deposits with free cancellation ,it depends on which 3rd party used .

Usually they charge one night deposit which is fully refunded if cancelled before the supposed arrival date.

Always book and call the hotel to confirm what their policy with the 3rd party used is.

quote author=HRprof post=87009683]
I'm not sure if they call the hotel for confirmation to take visa decision. Accommodation and flight itinerary shouldn't be paid until visa is approved its just serve as itinerary as part of your visa documentation. My understanding due any person with first hand experience should explain .
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Beverlyhills: 6:58pm On Feb 27, 2020
Thats Sad. Booking with a 3rd Party?

Trying calling the hotel to sort it out ASAP especially if you have just submitted.

Find out what their deposit looks like usually they dont take more than a nights deposit.

adelforreal:
Hello guys,

I got a mail from the hotel i booked for my application indicating that my reservation has been cancelled due to insufficient fund. I realised that they tried to charge the entire amount as against what was stated on their website (i.e 1 full day charge), and my account was funded to accomodate for up to two days before booking. The funny thing is that they stated ''no prepayment but 1% will be charged to secure the booking''.

The problem here is that i have submitted my application already. What can i do?

Thanks.

TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Beverlyhills: 11:35am On Feb 23, 2020
You have to prove why you need a longer validity visa.

Cyberknight:
Depending on the purpose of travel - it is easier for business visa applicants to get longer validity visas than for tourists.

Depending on the mark on the entry stamp - a cross sign(+) or two parallel line (//)

approvedxxx:
In this case , the visa was not cancelled... The immigration police had already stamped him in and later just draw a mark on the entry stamp.
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Beverlyhills: 11:06pm On Feb 20, 2020
I was referring to the poster who said he needs to get to Nigeria , get some money and buy another ticket.

Technically , the person is yet to be stamped in on arrival into the schengen region but if the visa has been revoked by the border police then its a done deal.

approvedxxx:
What I mean is that, is it possible to travel again with the visa on a single entry visa permit.
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Beverlyhills: 10:33pm On Feb 20, 2020

TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Beverlyhills: 5:29pm On Feb 20, 2020
Yes. Thats another angle. They tend to scrutinize the males more than they do the females.

From changes in purpose of stay to less funds to cancelled / unverifiable accommodation.

When these dont add up you are on the next flight.

OmoBendel24:
My thoughts too. Maybe his itinerary's financial implication was crazy however!
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Beverlyhills: 3:55pm On Feb 20, 2020
I dont think it has anything to do with his available cash. Something else went down.

He was planning to stay for three weeks and was holding about 1800 Euro or less but it was up to 1500 euro. When he was asked to call someone , he went to call his brother in Germany . I guess they suspected he was not going to return.
