Politics / Re: Wike Vs Exxonmobil: PENGASSAN To Shut Oil Rigs, Export Terminals. by Bevista: 10:08am On Apr 19, 2020
Unfortunately, Wike is not doing this because he loves the people of the state. He, probably, believes Amaechi (as minister of transport) is trying to undermine him and so he's trying to score cheap political point on this.

Tbh, he's lucky that things are not as in the GEJ era, where he (as a federal minister) and Mama Peace used the security agencies to completely undermine Amaechi as governor. But he shouldn't push it too far, Nigeria is not a very democratic country.

Federal government is still playing with Wike. He will be soon arrested and state of emergency declare in Rivers state. One top military official from Rivers state will take over as sole administrator.
As much as I would hate this to happen, I honestly, would like some of these governors to have a taste of what they've been doing to L.G Chairmen.

Sweden has implemented very lose lockdown policy, with some schools, bars, restaurants still remaining open. There has not been any significant rise in cases unlike countries like Italy, US, UK, etc who have been on complete lockdown yet still reporting higher infection (and death) numbers.

Problem is, with the lockdown, tax revenue is going to drop significantly. Same thing with revenue from ports & customs. Now, if oil prices remain that low for long, government will not have any revenue to use for palliatives. They won't even be able to pay salaries of civil servants, except they start going cap-in-hand to beg for loans.

Femi Adesina is a fooool.

First off, they were close family friends. This is the same thing I told someone in a related thread. Because they were friends, FFK should not have criticised perceived shortcomings in his friend who became a public officer

Secondly, what has FFK's being morbidly anti-Buhari got to do with commiserating with the President over the loss of his Chief of Staff

Honestly Adesina should buy some shame.
Health / Re: Africa Could See Up To 3.3 Million Coronavirus Deaths: UN by Bevista: 8:38pm On Apr 17, 2020
Under the worst-case scenario with no interventions against the virus, Africa could see 3.3 million deaths and 1.2 billion infections, the report by the UN Economic Commission for Africa said.
Africa's population is estimated 1.2 billion. That forecast would mean nearly every person on the continent getting infected.

These models are nonsense sometimes. The guys at Imperial College did similar modeling and projected 2 million deaths in the US and 500k deaths in the UK. After scaring everyone into "mass house arrest" they have now reviewed the US figures to under 80k and the UK figures to around 20k.

Unfortunately, most of us are limited to only the information (propaganda) that is being spouted by mainstream authority (government & media). I encourage folks to intelligently seek other sources of information to enlighten themselves. Only then can one have a balanced view of events.

BTW, I would only trust a poll conducted by a fairly neutral party...maybe Premium Times can conduct one and then I'll trust the result.

I'm clearly not in support of the lockdown. If it continues for long, Africa and other 3rd world countries will experience famine and mass starvation. This is deviously playing into the depopulation agenda. Developed countries that are implementing this have also implemented palliatives to all citizens to cushion the effect.

It's a choice between (potential) sickness and starvation.

Show me a link . .
The first link is the AMA session he did on Reddit. He never specifically said he would chip everyone. But he did talk about digital certificates as a confirmation for those tested and vaccinated.

Why are people worried about digital certificates? Privacy and Control.

So, why are people creating a link between chips and vaccines? The second link talks about a partnership between ID2020 and GAVI (The vaccines alliance). Just so you know, Microsoft and Gavi are sponsors of ID2020 while Gates Foundation are sponsors of GAVI. Read the article.

The third link shows exactly how the partnership discussed in link 2 is working out in Bangladesh. It talks about using vaccinations as a platform for digital identity. And this was in September 2019 (2 months before the outbreak). Read it up.

I believe that, even when they had those sickness, they probably must have contracted the new virus and making their health status even more complicated....So it will still have to be that, they got killed by coronavirus...

Because, the hospitals run a test to check for the virus, before ascertaining if they were actually killed by other sickness or not.....
There is no empirical data to confirm this. On the contrary, statistics show there has been no excess mortality above the normal average deaths during this period.

If I give you 100 apples and you decide to paint 20 of them red, does that increase your total number of apples? No, it simply increases your number of red apples.

12k in UK.

So 91% of these people from these countries have underlying sickness abi.

Wrong. That's not an interview but a research by the Office of National Statistics (ONS), the official statistics agency in the UK. I've heard exactly the same thing for Italy and the US.

Wrong! These persons would've still died regardless and we wouldn't hear anything about their deaths. Statistics have shown that deaths from other causes have dropped in the same proportion as the increase in deaths from Covid-19, meaning most deaths from other causes have simply been reclassified as deaths from Covid-19.

I have pointed this out several times. The death figures from the phony Corona Virus pandemic has been way over inflated. Fareed Zakaria of CNN even acknowledged this as well.

The mainstream media is deliberately creating hysteria about the virus to help their global imperialists achieve an agenda. Flu kills more than 600k persons every year, kills more 6m people every year, malaria kills more than 500k people every year, yet we don't get these sort of hysteria let alone shutdowns.

Health / Corona Virus: 9 In 10 Dying Have Pre-existing Illness - BBC by Bevista: 2:24pm On Apr 16, 2020
More than nine in 10 people dying with coronavirus have an underlying health condition, figures from the Office for National Statistics show.
---
The ONS looked at nearly 4,000 deaths during March in England and Wales where coronavirus was mentioned on the death certificate.

In 91% of cases the individuals had other health problems.

The most common was heart disease, followed by dementia and respiratory illness.

On average, people dying also had roughly three other health conditions.

What else does the analysis say?

The ONS has also looked at the differences in death rates by age and sex.

Men are twice as likely to die with coronavirus.

Unsurprisingly, the risk of dying increases with age, rising sharply from age 60 onwards.

The ONS has also looked to what extent coronavirus is causing the death of individuals rather than another condition being more of a factor.

In most cases it was judged to be the cause that triggered their death.

To what extent is coronavirus shortening lives?

This is extremely hard to judge.

Nick Stripe, head of health analysis at the ONS, said understanding what the deaths from coronavirus meant was "difficult and challenging".

He pointed out the risk of dying from heart disease and strokes had fallen, which could suggest they were dying from coronavirus instead of other things.

But he said there was other evidence which suggested the deaths were "on top of" what would be expected.

He said further research and debate were needed to explore the true impact of the virus on mortality.

The BBC's head of statistics, Robert Cuffe, agreed.

"Coronavirus is doing more than taking the place of other causes of death for people who would otherwise have died this month," he said.

"It has driven the total number of deaths higher than expected.

"people like these, with multiple health conditions, do have lower life expectancy, but these figures don't say exactly how many months or years coronavirus has taken off their life."

The whole lockdown crap defies every logic.

They have locked everyone down because they claim they want to save our lives from whatever phony virus, yet the lives lost directly from the lockdown is way higher than the lives lost from the nonsense virus. And btw, there's no medical evidence that those claimed to have died from the virus did actually die because of the virus. These could've been folks with other underlying medical conditions that led to their death.

Imagine someone who is a heavy smoker and then test positive for malaria parasite. Should that person die, can you tell me exactly what killed him?

Do we have the data for excess mortality rate? No, we don't. For the data that I've seen for a number of European countries, the overall number of deaths during these so called pandemic is not more than their statiscal monthly average.

The governments implementing lockdown don't do so because they care about you. Some have simply had a carte blanche subhead to loot funds. Some are simply playing to the gallery while others are simply following their western masters.

The lockdown is a fvckin farce. The mor*ns need to allow folks go back to their private hustle. I won't even bother anyone in here with my opinion about the conspiracies flying around. Just lift the fvckin lockdown else a much bigger social crisis is coming.

What the fvck you shut down the entire economic system because of 10 deaths...just because of the fear mongering from mainstream media. You know how many people die from malaria each year in this country? More than 50,000 ( according to WHO) yet we still get on with our lives.

Politics / Re: How Will Nigeria Diversify It’s Economy And Create Jobs After Covid-19? by Bevista: 7:21pm On Apr 15, 2020
The post-Covid19 economy is not meant to provide jobs. That's why the global elites are already touting Universal Basic Income as a way of dealing with the mass unemployment that will arise. It's going to be a massive social challenge for poor economies like Nigeria.

We're not going back to Normal. In the words of Elon Musk - There will be fewer and fewer jobs that a robot cannot do better. Many small businesses will not be able to reopen. Many jobs will be lost permanently.

The pandemic is not about HEALTH. It's about CONTROL. It's about preparing the setting for the new global economic order. The pandemic is used to create the right level of fear and panic to cause you to surrender your civil liberties and freedom.

The entire world is on shutdown. Factories are closed, folks are not driving their cars, airlines are not flying. The major industries that use oil are in shutdown. Brent, as at this morning, was trading just above $28. Nigeria is offering a $3 discount on that, yet not getting buyers.

If things don't improve as quickly as possible, Nigeria will experience one of its worst economic crisis. The government may soon start complaining of its inability to pay salaries. This is going to be exacerbated by locking people in and not allowing private enterprise.

Between 2008 & 2009, during the Global Financial Crisis, the US economy lost around 8.6m jobs. In just 2 months since the lockdowns started in the US, there has been more than 10m job losses.

Clearly, if these lockdowns continue, the world will experience an economic collapse that will make 2008 look like child's play. Unfortunately, this is what the "establishment" wants...to drive the world to its knees economically and then offer a solution. The only solution being that you surrender your privacy and accept vaccinations.

Even if Nigeria has the money, it cannot afford doling out money to every citizen; this much I argued in another post. The best the government can do is provide subsidy for food and stop humiliating themselves by sharing food items, money to people in Jigawa. It would have been reasonable to pump the subsidy to Lagos and Abuja and insulate those states from the rest of the country while having all borders closed for two months to contain the viral spread. Then pay money to Dangote and big northern farmers and let them flood those states with food.
Really?! How are other countries able to do so, even covering foreign residents? Let's be realistic...how will the government subsidize food? Explain to me how much they will need to subsidize for garri, rice, milk, vegetables, etc. The subsidy will just be an avenue for fraud as it has always been in Nigeria.

He's not just a disgrace, he's a fvckin imb*cile.

You think you can put a spin on the narrative by making personal attacks? The western masters the mor*n copied from, have they not provided palliatives to nearly every citizen...even up to foreigners residing there.

Look, the prat has no brain cells. You think I was referring to myself in my earlier comment? The vast majority of Nigerians (including yours truly) have been going about their business without any care of what the idi*ts called politicians are doing. If the mor*n cannot think for himself and chooses to copy what others are doing, is the prat not supposed to copy well?

He could not fight BH. The president of a smaller country had to teach him what it means to be a leader. Other smaller African countries are providing palliatives for her citizens, but not the vegetable we have as a president.

As you are not in a public office, I will refrain from any personal attacks on your person.

PDP would not have done any better. They'd probably do even worse. I detest that party. However, I agree 100% with all they wrote here. The president is an utter disgrace!

As always, you could not sense any empathy. Just blabbing away like some robot. There's absolutely no reason to lock Nigerians inside their houses and then leaving them completely on their own. If you're copying what your western masters are doing, then go the distance as they're doing.

And nobody should give me that crap about Nigeria not having money to provide palliatives to EVERY citizen. Go fvckin borrow if you have to. That's what your western masters which you copied from are doing.

And why is it only the common Nigerians that always have to be the ones making sacrifices? Will the government ever for once make sacrifice for its citizens? When big businesses and banks are at the point of collapse, the government gives them bailout, even if it means borrowing to do so. Nigerians right now are on the brink of collapse and all the fvckin president could say is we should sacrifice once again. Sacrifice with what? With our lives, right? With impending crime and social unrest?

What a fvckin prat!
