Biafra is here , and you’re investing in Nigeria treasury bills.
Hmm
We are here strictly for financial talks and not politics. Even Ghanaians, Brits, Americans, Togolese etc also invest in TBills, so I don't know what your point is. But if you insist on going down the road with me on this, then you can meet me in the politics section, though I strongly advise against that to avoid stories that touch.

I'm gonna guess by wisely investing his monthly 300k. Where there is the will, there is always a way.

I will give you an example. A land he bought for 400,000 years ago was priced for 45 million last year. He has other lands which not even my step mum knows of, so I'm gonna guess if he bought numerous lands at 400k then, do the maths and see how much he would make by selling those lands at 45M now. He's a very wise land investor.
What, 400k to 45m? They must have discovered crude oil or gold in the land undecided

My gtb accounts officer is trying me. I wrote that I wanted 364 days at best rates. This guy did 358 days at 13.75% or so. And refused to compound/re-invest the upfront interest as I requested.
Are these people doing anyhow because it is secondary market? And obviously there is no way one can reverse it.
I don't know why they are always eager when a customer wants to do fixed deposit but would become reluctant and discouraging when the customer wants to do TBills. I once did a fixed deposit for 1.3m and the interest Zenith bank gave me was a mere 6% when the least one can get with TBills is over 10% yet they still wanted me to continue doing FD with them and I flatly rejected it. Shylock people, they will offer interest of 6% to investors yet will turn around to charge sky-high interest on people that take loan from them.

Just to highlight your second point, I am the only one in my family that has an idea of how much is in my father's account. He earns 300,000 Naira monthly, or so he says. But the day he gave me his phone and I went through his emails, I was shocked to see the bank alerts he had gotten. Dude has over 415 million in fixed deposits. My point is, he uses this "300,000 thousand" monthly salary as excuse not to satisfy my step mothers excessive want for luxuries. Be wise!

How was he able to save up such humongous amount of money with 300k monthly salary? Was he into politics? Contract? Or some other money spinning ventures?? I'm just being curious...
Yes, I quite agree with you that one can't blindly trust another 100%, at least not in this present generation that has been turned into a theatre of absurdities. Where brothers, fathers, mothers are betraying one another not to talk of a total stranger who grew up in a completely different background from yours but later got married to you.

Please has anyone gotten notification for yesterday's TBills investment??

I'm yet to get any and the last alert I got for a payment showed that my money is still in tact. I just hope these guys at Zenith has'nt failed to invest my 1.6 million I gave them instruction to invest for 91 days because it's not going to be funny at all and I will take it out with them if they fail to do so.

Whether the man in aso Rock is Buhari or Jubril (I believe it's Jubril anyway), IPOB has finally hit the cabals below the belt!!
With all these controversies and the masses now completed confused and bamboozled, coupled with Buhari/Jubril's crass incompetence and widespread suffering and frustration, it will require a miracle and massive rigging never witnessed in world history for Jubril to be reelected.
ATIKU is now keying into the confusion to raise more dust and as the elections get nearer, we will see more damning revelations, and in all these, APC will continue to be on the defensive, reacting while IPOB continues to unleash deadly blows on the unfortunate administration which PDP will now benefit from immensely.
RIP to Buhari and APC grin grin

Whatever you are smoking is really messing up with you badly. Firstly, you wrote a complete trash that is lacking in both logic, wisdom and facts and as if that was not enough rubbish, you also quoted someone and blindly called him Igbo when nothing shows he is!

To start with, you need education especially in subjects like geography and government as well as current affairs because it's obvious that you know next to nothing about what you.

Political capital of the North is Kaduna. Political capital of the SW is Ibadan. Political capital of the SE is Enugu. Political capital of the SS is P.H although it hasn't been in that capacity officially but fact is that it is the defacto political capital of SS, so Benin city can NEVER be the capital of SS for several reasons.

Igbos have no business with your delusions!

Nigerians don't understand, it's not house that appreciates, but the land. An empty land well fenced and gated will appreciate more than a house built on the same location because you don't have any maintenance cost associating with a land like a house.

So if you decide to invest in a property, buy lands and secure them very well, that way of you decide to sell, You will easily receive offers and good offers for that matter.
You just said my mind! The other poster that is contemplating whether to sell his property and invest in TBills and the insinuations some people made about TBill offering a better prospect made me consider my own situation and I discovered that property investment is better. In my own case, I bought a land @ 1.2 million in 2013 I.e 5 years ago and with sundry expenses like agent fee, ego omenala (tradition money) and power of attorney, everything amounted to around 1.5 million. Today, the market value of that same piece of undeveloped land is 3 million and I just leased it to a small branch of RCCG church to be paying 60k annually. So, if I had been investing in Treasury Bills since the past five years at say 14% interest rate, the maximum I could have gotten probably won't have exceeded 700k plus capital 1.5m which together is still significantly less than the 3m. So, I guess TBills is a great investment but property is better.

These people and dirty politics are like 5 and 6. They have always been like this right from precolonial era when they kept killing themselves which they called kiriji wars and immediately after independence during the infamous operation wetie or wild-wild west that primarily led to the civil war and even till today!

While Igbos operated democracy that enabled them to live in peace and harmony with themselves and neighbors, and would never accept dictatorship or tyranny these ones are busy worshipping fellow humans like they are some sort of tin god and would even kill and maim others just to show their loyalty!

This is partly the reason why the prospects of having their own country scares them to death because Nigeria is what is holding them from descending into anarchy.

FoderKingthanos:

You can't directly compare the cost that in Nigeria.

Why?

The standard of living is higher

It might cost the same way to an American the same way the N18250 costs to a Nigerian
Yes, standard of living is incomparable but $1000 in metropolitan areas like New York is not easy to come by as well because it can take as much as 10 days of full time work at minimum wage to earn it. I know that places like New Jersey is a lot cheaper but the Nigerian example I used is for expensive cities like Abuja, Lagos or P.harcourt because other places like Umuahia, Akure, Onitsha, Kaduna etc you can get self contained apartment for as low as 60k per year or 5000 per month which is the equivalent of $14 per month. The fact is that living expenses takes a huge percentage of income in America unlike in Nigeria where once you are able to break through and become rich or even middle class, you can be able to make substantial savings but on the other hand, exchange rate can also make dollar savings huge when converted into naira.

No 1. on your list should be accommodation. A studio apartment in America can cost up to $1000 or 365,000 naira per month while it's equivalent in Nigeria, self contain, costs $50 or 18250 per month. So you can't afford to live in spacious condos in America except you have enough money to spare.

Just look at the disgusting nepotism the bastar.d terrorist from Sudan is entrenching. A sensitive national agency is now a roll call of names from a particular section of the country!! To think that this same madness is being replicated in the military, police, Federal Secretariat, service chiefs etc then you will understand why this unfortunate country has remained a sh!thole and would forever remain the world's poverty capital except it is broken up or at least have semi autonomous regions.
Anybody from the South or even middle belt still supporting this murderous and destructive regime is a f.o.o.l forever!!

Please when was the last TBills sold by CBN and when is the next one coming up?
It seems like Zenith Bank is playing games with me. I gave them instruction to invest 1.6 million in TBills for 90 days tenor since last week Monday, yet the money has remained in my account. They tried to dissuade me against TBills and rather wanted me to go for FD but I refused flatly based on better interest rates of the former.
I need to know the date please, and also if it's possible to go for secondary market and invest for just 2 months instead of 3.

I love seeing Innoson vehicles on Nigerian roads just like that pick up.

The body of that witch should be fed to dogs, she doesn't deserve a proper burial.
Looks can be very deceptive, some beautiful looking women can be very ugly and wicked inside. I have been there, loved and also wanted to marry a very pretty and nice shaped fair woman against the wise counsel of my family, and even had a serious verbal argument with my mother and fought my siblings because of the witch in deceptive clothing. I just thank God he saved me, nothing compares to the love of one's own family because sometimes we could lust after flesh and see everything else through rose tinted glass while logic and common sense takes flight!

Men must always do background checks on any woman they want to marry or even date, things like their immediate family lifestyle and mental history as well as the woman's past relationships and anger issues should never be joked with. A woman with mental history in her family or serious anger management issues can stab you to death while you're sleeping or even poison your food!

May God save all bachelors reading this, witches and wicked destiny destroyers in the mold of a woman will never come your way.

Iwe nwanne anaghi eru n'okpupku!! Whatever is the grouse should be resolved amicably for the good of the family and Nigerian entertainment industry. Other Africans such as South Africa, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania etc are now contesting our dominance of the music industry since it was left to the kids like Wizkid, Davido, Kizz Daniel, Tecno etc. We need great songs from Psquare like it used to be. I hope this won't be the end of the twins together. Influential people or the Anambra state Governor should invite them and call for a truce. Their best individually is just average but their Psquare albums is always a hit, back to back and they always have sold out shows in any city they travel to in Africa but they can't even host any shows again, so sad!

Easier said than done! So, let's assume I pay labourers and tipper to evacuate the refuse, will I still pay police or vigilante to arrest defaulters that will still come the next minute to dump refuse there?
I hope you know that this dumping of refuse is usually done at night?
You all should stop saying all these, government is government globally and it is their duty to protect the the people and the environment. A responsible government will do awareness and equally arrest defaulters. There must be a penalty for every law broken otherwise you have chaos and lawlessness like we have in Nigeria. It is the duty of government/elected leaders and not individuals! You all defending the rot in this hellhole is doing yourself great disservice! The first step in changing a bad situation is first accepting that there is a problem and not trying to give excuses else you will remain with the status quo. Nigeria is too divided, too heterogeneous and too vast to be waiting on Abuja to share Niger Delta oil proceeds. Let everyone control its resources and pay tax/royalties to the central government just like it was in the first republic or else we will remain a shithole forever!!!

I got this many years ago...and I relocated my family immediately. I sold all my landed properties to achieve it. People thought I was crazy. I can't raise my kids here...mba!!! I live in naija though. In Copenhagen, you will see a 70year old woman jugging down the road, not a new thing! I was telling one the Toyota gangs on cartalk section that you don't see Toyota in Europe he kept arguing with me, quoting stats from America. Someone that has never left naija o..
Please leave naija if you have the means, white is superior to black!! The former is light and the latter is darkness...

I have always asked myself if God actually gave blacks and whites the same level of intelligence and this is based on facts obtainable globally. Why is the only poor country in Northern hemisphere (Haiti) a predominantly black nation? Why is the only relatively advanced country in Sub-Saharan Africa (SA) a country with a significant percentage of whites? Why is North Africa relatively far more developed, richer, organized and prosperous than SSA? Why are blacks always aggressive naturally and tend to resort to violence easily even when common sense, orderliness and calmness should be applied?? Why do blacks especially Nigerians break bottles and use dangerous weapons like matchets at the slightest quarrel? The kind of stvpidity and suffering that goes on in Nigeria is quite alarming to sane minds!! Why would someone come to the bank and jump the queue over people that made efforts to come earlier and yet call it smartness or commercial vehicle drivers going against traffic with passengers cheering him for being smart cry cry
Majority of Nigerians can be very annoying, irritating and terrible, and the country has become so freaking bastardized with no hope whatsoever!!
I have been trying to upload a file of less than 5 MB for a client in SA since morning (I actually started yesterday) yet to no avail, and it is causing serious issues between me and my client who had earlier told me I was doing a great job for him. Now MTN network is ruining my good works!! I actually have to disconnect my modem and reconnect again, and afterwards, refresh a page before it can open while uploading files is impossible!!

I used to struggle with epileptic power supply before I had to cough out 400K to install a solar system, in order to overcome power problems.
I have not stepped into any Western country but the stories I keep getting from nairaland and my two siblings that recently traveled to the US always depresses me.

Nigeria can never get it right, with the way we are going. We have already overtaken India as the world's poverty capital despite having a population six times smaller than them!! Things will continue degenerating in Nigeria until the citizens will start killing themselves out of frustration!

Even right now, as I look out of the window of my office overlooking a major road lies a heap of refuse right in the middle of the road!

Nigeria is cursed and the IQ of most of the citizens is nothing to write home about, and I would have said including entire blacks except that some black countries like Rwanda, Ghana and Kenya are doing relatively well.

I can wager a bet that IPOB people are really giving you guys a hell of a time!! I have seen most of you BMC's frantically clutching at straws by throwing baseless insults all in a bid to muddle up what is very clear like daylight, which is the fact that the real Buhari is dead while what we have now is an impostor the cabal hired from Sudan. The facts are all glaring yet you refuse to make use of your grey matter, instead you resort to insults!

Let me bust your bubble, those in government or close to the cabal already knows, but there is what is called classified information in government circles. They must have been told not to divulge the news of the death of buhari on the excuse that it was in the overriding interest of the nation, considering that most of his fanatic followers are illiterate and easily brainwashed.

Maggots have already eaten the one we used to know, what we now have is a Sudanese impersonator the cabals are using!!
