Let's be sincere here with ourselves, in the 16 years of PDP government in Nigeria the only position Igbos did not hold was just the presidency. We have had about five senate presidents, Deputy senate president, Deputy Speaker, the Army Chief, Immigration Boss, the Prison Boss, Central Bank Governor, Ministers in key ministries of power, finance, education, petroleum and health etc. What has Igboland got to show for these positions other than installation of one Chieftaincy title or the other? Secondly, I suggest Igbos to reach out to elders and leaders of minority tribes around and table a clear agenda and manifesto before them to gain their support.

We can work towards a regional system of government between the five SE states and any other groups in the SS that are convinced to be part of the new country. I believe this ought to have been done before coming out with any maps. You don't just get up and draw maps in the UK and begin to publish online as Biafra. When did we make solid agreements with these guys around us?


Very importantly the name should not be Biafra. Something like Lower Niger Republic should do.

Please take away that map.

I'm not from the east or south south, i'm not even a Biafran and don't ever wish to be. But i had to read about Biafran war out of my curiousity. I also read much about wars and i discovered It is only a foolish General that will
allow himself to be captured when
there is room for escape. ojukwu did
the right thing by escaping capture
because he would have been
humiliated and killed. The rule for Generals is to escape
capture if you can but where this is not
possible, you either commit suicide or

and not your back. I think people should stop saying that man ran away. I'm a Nigerian and I know how bad Nigerian Government would have treated Biafrans if Ojukwu was caught red handed and humiliated. Had it been Ojukwu was captured, Gowon wouldn't have said "No Victor, No Vanguished". I think the only respect Igbos still have now is Ojukwus escape cos their wasn't any prosecution after the war. Nigerian army didn't win the war because Ojukwu wasn't captured. I love igbos, I'm still in love with my first love who's igbo and the little time i spent with his mum is one of the most exciting times of my life. My take
