Pls, I want 2 use dis medium 2 ask dis question:

As a Christian lady, wt do u expect a Christian brother to say wen approaching you 4 a r/ship? Shud it b d "usuals"? Cos sm people will go with "God said..." and in the end, the r/ship might nt lead 2 marriage.
So Ladies, r u expecting him to jst toast u plainly witout inputing "God said dis n God said that".
My brother, i had a similar experience back in school when three different "brothers" in my school fellowship said God told them i was their wife. Thank God i had known the Lord early enough and i quickly recognised it as deceit. Even if God appears to a man and shows him his wife physically, i believe its best to express whatever one feels in an honest way, so that the lady in question will not feel intimidated. If God truly spoke, it won't be hard for the sister to respond positively. And even if she refuses, God is never out of options. smiley

Christianity EtcRe: Nairaland Christian Singles Thread (no Holds Barred) by Bibol(f):
Abbott: While we are at it, my challenge is that I'm confused about what I want, that is, should she be fair in complexion or dark or ebony? And also should I go for slim petite women or curvy/chubby women? I've seen the best of all complexion and sizes and i'm now confused. Used to love petite and lithe women, now, some +sized women are really turning my head. Would love to read peeps perspective, opinions, insights and advice on this. Enjoy!
Have you considered focusing on the kind of husband you will like to become? Maybe you should quit thinking of what she should look like, because you may never have all those qualities in one single lady. You may marry a very petite woman today and later on, become +sized. Rather, i think you should be more concerned about who she is on the inside. It is the inner qualities that make a person. All in all, if you are still single, its best to set your affection on spiritual things, that way, you'll attract the right set of people and keep an open heart. You never know what God has in stock for you. All the best!

akanmumi: I just caught u .
U were not luking for advise, u only wanted to create a thread where pple ll comment.
That was y I doubted u.
And u fell for it by your response .
And now, u re vexed because my comment is different from everyone's .
He didn't create the thread. Toba did. The issue here is that we should emulate what the Scriptures say. I'm not sure Christ would have judged him because of his past. Remember Mary Magdalene's story? What makes a man a saint is when he falls and gets back up again. We should never stop encouraging our fellow believers because trust me, its really difficult to be a true Christian in this perverse generation. Its when we are faced with extremely tempting situations that we can say whether or not we are standing. The only consolation we have is that God will never let us face a situation that we cannot handle. That's why he gave us the willpower. Everything we have or ever hope to achieve is by the mercies of God.

Guitarlife: Typical of the modern christian to frown at any attempt to be realistic they'd rather be idealistic. How old are you if I may ask. You would have preffered it if I had chosen to conceal my trials and continued in them than to bring them to the fore and recieve encouragement to overcome them right ?
I hope you know this attitude is what has caused the 'church' to be where it is today. People like you would rather pretend and when brethren come to you for edification you'd rather condemn them.
You forget that we all have our time of temptation and the least you can do for your brother is not to judge him but encourage him.
Does it surprise you that you are the only one sharing your view ?
I do hope you'l learn a major lesson today .
You need to google the names of powerful men of God who have backslided it's cos nobody is impecable we are all striving.
I'm never as nauseated as at when I see a 'christian' judging others. You need to read your bible and ask for forgiveness too while at it.
You took the words out of my keypads. Hypocrisy is one of the reasons why people lose it in their relationships and marriages. As Christians, rather than focusing on what a fellow believer has done wrong, we are supposed to deal with the root cause and stop judging. I for one, find it very hard to open up to Chuch folk because everyone expects you to be perfect which in reality takes only the grace of God. I hope the church will get it right someday. However, i'm still not clear on whether the mouth@ction thing for married couples is right

I love tasking assignments and i often don't mind staying back in the office to finish the day's work. My friends "yabb" me that im a workaholic but i find that hard to believe. vivian chinaza: @slimyem: I respect ur opinion ok but I disagRee with you on the paRt of "most supeR sexy beautiful women allow their physical to get into the betteR of them and they become the most valuable asset they posses." The tRuth is as women we chose our part irrespective physicals.....most times our backgRound/upbRinging play a huge role in this. Kim chose to be who she is.....celebRity, fame, fast cash, etc.......Michelle also chose to be who she is...family, a wife, a mother. Their looks played no role in the life decisions! I have seen women who don't have the look like Michelle but they aRe worst than Kim, and I have also seen and been with women who are super sexy and cute but even betteR than Michelle.
As a gRowing child wheneveR I see supeR sexy beautiful women that aRe homely, decent, intelligent, humble, educated, etc it humbles me and I would be like "if this woman despite heR beauty and super sexy can be like this then I wanna be like heR and even more than her" and that has shaped me into the woman I have become today! Do I acknowledge than I'm beautiful and sexy? Yes! Do I allow it get into my bRains? No! Not that I can't let this beauty and sexiness get into my head, but I have chosen this path of life and it has been working for me. So whateveR we do with ouR lives is the choice we have made, it has nothing to do with looks!

DailyNews: I understand you, but still I have nothing against any unemployed graduate youth in Nigeria becos even the ones we consider as not too intelligent or brilliant, are very creative and industrious, just our environment killing their ambition and talents. Do you know that some rare talents have been lost and killed by the Nigerian environment? Haven't you wondered why Nigerians who couldn't pass JAMB in Nigeria go abroad to graduate as best students? its cos Nigerians are so gifted and hardworking more than any other nation you can think of. Its just the devil that used bad leadership n corruption to destroy Nigeria's great future, if not Nigeria would have been the best country. I do not like to hear people who made it in life in any sector or field feeling too good or too smart than others who couldn't cos I still insist that no one is where he or she is by his or her hardwork or intelligence, never. It is God that choses, thats He said in the BIble, I WILL BLESS THOSE I WILL BLESS, so I insist that its not by our might. Can you sincerely tell me that President Goodluck Jonathan is the best man in the whole of Nigeria to merit being Nigeria's president? Can you prove same for Obama? All success, breakthrough, etc comes from God. I have come across industrious guys wallowing in penury, and I have come across lazy unitelligent folks swimming in success and riches. Even some MDs and Directors you hear or see in most top firms aren't better than some of their subjects or juniors or subordinates, just that they were chosen by God doesn't mean they are too good or better than others, pls if God has blessed you with good position, do not despise those still searching, help those u can help irrespective of their IQ or whatever, cos most are better than you and me! Always give thanks to God for placing you wherever you are presently cos it wasn't by your making. shalom!
Good point u raised and i understand your stand. Whatever it is, don't encourage mediocrity, that doesn't stop you from being of help to people

NYSCRe: Why Do Corpers Lack Employment After NYSC? by Bibol(f): 6:03pm On Sep 04, 2012
demmie1: But seriously Nigerian graduates are trained with the mind-set that a job is waiting for them somewhere after they graduate, so they don't see education as means of developing themselves to take up challenges to be self reliant. the nysc even compounded their problems with raising their false hopes with frivolousness instead of training them to develop entrepreneurial skills (and i'm not talking about beads making)and becoming job creators instead of job seekers.
If these views are not corrected, then employment problems will persist.
Now that got me ROFLMAO cheesy grin cheesy
NYSCRe: Why Do Corpers Lack Employment After NYSC? by Bibol(f): 6:00pm On Sep 04, 2012
DailyNews: My sister, being lucky doesn't mean that you are the best, just give the glory to God for giving you the grace to make it cos there are thousands if not millions better than you during and before your set who couldn't find a place to work or even find a dime to start a personal business. Pls blame the corpers not, blame the Nigerian situation, if we had a good government and balanced economy, what is job? people decide where they want to work, so dear, you were only lucky, not that you are better than others roaming the street, so be kind to job-seekers coming to your office cos it is not by your making but of God that showeth mercy!
Just what i thought! I think you didn't read the part where i said i've met some extraordinary graduates. I agree one needs God to get a good job, however many corps members are lazy. Maybe if people start thinking of ways to develop inner skills, we won't be here blaming our government. This govt has failed the youths, its high time we stopped trusting them cuz our leaders have nothing much to offer. Its totally wrong to accept corps members just because they are roaming the street, thereby, increasing the level of mediocrity in your organization. If someone deserves a placement, why not? But its sad to expect that you will get a good posting just by weeping and carrying a sad face about.
NYSCRe: Why Do Corpers Lack Employment After NYSC? by Bibol(f): 5:40pm On Sep 04, 2012
The truth is that a lot of corps members are lazy, they want to serve in private companies where they will be well-paid but yet, they are not ready to give their best. I find it rather annoying to see youths walk into my office looking for a place to serve and when you give them simple aptitude tests, they fail woefully. Yet they come here to type rubbish and heap all the blame on the government and their "wicked" lecturers. This doesn't mean that some are not good enough, but majority of the "corpers" i had contact with recently were big disappointments. Mind you, i served too and was retained.
