NAF HOLDS AEROMEDICAL EVACUATION AND ADVANCED TRAUMA LIFE SUPPORT TRAINING WORKSHOP IN BAUCHI

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), on 10 September 2018, commenced a 5-Day Aeromedical Evacuation and Advanced Trauma Life Support Training Workshop for 37 medical personnel drawn from NAF units across Nigeria. The training, which is holding at the 261 NAF Reference Hospital Bauchi, is part of efforts to further enhance the capacity of NAF personnel to provide effective aeromedical evacuation and advanced life support services within Operation LAFIYA DOLE as well as other Theatres of Operation in the country.

Speaking during the opening ceremony, the Chief of Medical Services, Air Vice Marshal Sale Shinkafi, who was represented by the Director of Public Health and Humanitarian Services NAF Headquarters, Group Captain Azubuike Chukwuka, stated that the workshop was aimed at equipping NAF personnel with the necessary skills to provide effective aeromedical evacuation services to injured persons, especially at the front lines and theatres of operations. He said it was also aimed at ensuring that NAF Aeromedical Evacuation Teams and paramedics are appropriately trained to effectively man the Accident and Emergency Units in NAF Hospitals across the country. Group Captain Chukwuka therefore urged participants to make the most of the training with a view to applying the knowledge gained to save lives, thereby boosting troops’ morale.

The training exercise is in line with one of the key drivers of the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar’s vision which is aimed at creating needed capacities in every NAF professional specialty to enhance the ability of the Service to effectively carry out its constitutional roles. The workshop, which is expected to end on 14 September 2018, would expose the selected medical personnel to the complexities involved in providing real time first aid to casualties before evacuation in real battle situations. Other areas to be covered during the workshop include Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Facilitators at the Workshop include American Heart Society certified consultants from the Jos University Teaching Hospital as well as resource persons from NAF Headquarters Medical Services Branch. One of the highlights of the workshop was a practical demonstration of casualty evacuation of injured troops using a NAF Bell 412 Helicopter.

This attack on Gudumbali was simply a hit and run for Boko boys to restock, according to residents they left the town at 3am even before the army counterattack.

Boko Haram/ISAWP are aware that they cannot hold territory anymore like before.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlxPF-BOjmU
BHT is evolving tactics.

The military authorities should know now that boko boys are not after holding & control any particular area. They are after ammunitions and equipment.

It's either they are preparing for a big surprise or preparing for the military hunting season

Buhari has been playing politics with equipping the military. What we've been reading all through the 3 years he has been in power has been accusations upon accusations of the GEJ government.

No proper equipping for the military.

PMC were not effective in Nigeria the first time, how would they be effective now?

Operations seemed to go well because the unit worked with were re-equipped and they had a dedicated air unit with them.
Another problem we have is the top military chiefs & brass wouldn't come out and tell Mr president the reality on ground, cos they might stand the risk of loosing there jobs.

The NA which is the main arm of the military confronting BHT is not been equipped unlike the NN and NAF who are getting new hardwares everyday.

bidexii, i go shake am.

Anybody wey wan fall, make i'm fall.

I've had enough of all the buhari ass kissing.

Me too, my own head no correct.-
Pppp
No be today people don dey tell me say i be madman.

I know that one since.

Pictures from the boko haram attack at Zari town where 48 Nigerian soldiers died. There is a picture of a captured Nigerian soldier.
May God punish boko haram a thousand fold and may he also punish the Nigerian leadership from buhari to the service chiefs who refuse to provide adequate intelligence, armoury, aircraft and know how to end this insurgency once and for all time.
Nobody can convince me that certain military heirachy and political elements around buhari including the lifeless one himself is not benefiting from the continuation of this insurgency.
While the ordinary soldiers are dying like rats.
A pox on all Nigerian leaders.
God what a brave soldier, his even smiling . Only God knows how many horrible things he as seen in the North East theatre.

Definitely he will be slaughtered by these God forsaken creatures. @rugged these was like last two weeks right huh

Bros, am sure i was not giving support to anyone. I only gave my view on the matter. If the pic below is what you refer to as cache of arms then i give up.

Secondly, i made this clear in my post "What ever they left was nothing compared to what boko haram brought in. So its not really a big plus".
No matter how small the looting was ? With these kind of attitude we can't win the war if we continue like these
