guys notice that this akangbe guy registred on nairaland FEB 22, 2010, thats like a week ago, am not sure but i will say he is not even a regular user of this forum, and that he only registered to promote this FIR an PINE saga, what do u think Akangbenue?

I also recieved an  mail, but after reading u guys, I believe ur concerns are genuine. Because their website dont give much info about them, and even the links provided there on are vague or nothing much.

And above all i googled the company and thir partners nothing much came up; now if that company is famous there should at least be something about them some where on the WORLD WIDE WEB  apart from their own website, now i might be wrong, but whats the logicof asking pple to pay to write a test. thats some sort of gamble, or r we all guaranteed employment?

Anyway I went to the First bank branch they said in Abuja Muhammad buhari way, and they said they havnt started selling til nxt week, and I called the head office they said they dont know any FIR N PINE, but they will find out and get bak 2 me, now all these is wiered

I also got the IV for 24th, but i cant afford comming to lagos now they should have centres accros the country or atleast provide transport, or state that only lagos applicant. Thats not fair, I just came back from lagos from another test, and now this again, where i go commot that money?

for those asking if they can study themselves and pass, the answer is yes coz i did the same and passed my level 1 this december.

Here is the secrete;

1 Get the schweser notes (or whateva they r called!) and read it over and over atleast TWICE

2 Dont read the whole Books CFA sent u (although they r comprehensive they r too bulky), but here's what u do, if u dont understand something from the schweser notes cross refeence to the main CFA text books (thats how to use those bulky boks)

3 Atleast get 3-4 hours study time every day for 6 months (i didnt have a degree in finance so this was my time table)

4 Practice the question at the end of each chapter, and like 2 months to exam start the practice exams
5 Dont be scared!. With these i got >70% in all my subjects save 1; alternative investment (i got >50<70) goodluck(minus jonathan)

Guys anyone knows when the list for the test we wrote in january is comming out??

guys i ve got a png test on thursday, but i stay in abuja and the test is in lagos,

their recruitment process is 3 or 4 steps, after the test then 2 interviews.

any one knows how long after the test they call for the two interviews?

coz i dont know any one in lagos and its expensive to stay there for long, /

True talk; the movie was awsome and cool. but the I still think the publicity was more than the movie itself.

Yes I dont mind watching again (note the sentence), but thinkin about all that publicity pulled i tot i will be saying 'i must watch the movie again' (but nah!)

who really believes this was the greatest movie of the last decade (as some said), am talking to pple who really watch movies, not just pictures and sound effects.

About the mention of nigeria and venuzuella, I was really suprised too.

I must add Stanbic is not one of these local banks, its an international conglomerate with presence in Africa South America and Europe, So they should do better than a 100k. Guys pls more suggestions.

It depends on what u want, I just got one and its simple, Slim and cool for its price. Although i also have an XPERIA. But here is a crude review
1 it has a big touch screen

2 the touchscreen has some trendy features like drawing a letter to perform a function e.g to call my swtheart i just draw S on the screen

3 its got inbiult security, so that if u loose ur fone it automatically sends txt msgs to 2 numbers u preset

4 Mine came with 2 bateries and 3 back cover with different colours. makes u carry a diff fone esch day

5 its got a fake call; if u r in a meeting and wana get out just press a key and the fone automatically starts ringing 30secs, 1min or 3mins later, ur choice

6 And lots more

I agree some post in this room is baseless or of target, But let me try to clarify what this tread is about,

1 I and any sane person dont argue that soludo did a good job by facilitating the ban consolidation

4 Was the lack of oversight by the Feds in d US (same thing CBN or SOLUDO is accused of) worth it? It depends on who u ask, The banks engaged in huge gambling causing some of them to fail, housing market collapsed, the stock market lost more than half its value, Jobs were lost, and not to speak of the damages this caused to other economies in the world.

5 In Nija today these banks were fat and sick, thats why some people r worried that the current cbn policy caused all this. U ve got banks with negative working capital (neva mind their fiticious profits), granting unsecured loans, paying huge bonuses, even if money was water it will some day run out.

6 what the cbn did was to save these banks by injecting money and knocking some senses into them. b4 they collapse and then we would not be talking of downsizing but collapse of banks, and not only jobs will be lost but also depositors monies like mine i have in one of these banks

If sanusi's agenda was a good one he would have taken mass sack into consideration, If you push so many people who know too much about how to move money in the street you will have so much bank related fraud in the coming years

do u realy think if he did not have good intention he will save the banks, in fact he could just wait and as soon as one bank fails the domino effect begins on the others, but he did not.

And note if Lamido should also falter we will call him out,
