Basic123:and who told u we don't share the same culture: looks, dressing, religion, beliefs, food, language in some cases etc., and are only these three u mentioned the only occupants of the south south, what about the igbos that constitute about 70% of the population, how can u neglect that badagry people in lagos speak egun, niger delta part of ondo speak ilaje, and there are ijaws in ondo state too I mentioned lagos because u lots are doing ultimate search on those things that divide Igbo and niger delta, u are always reminding us why we shouldn't cooperate to get freedom, even though its not ur region, u lots are doing as if u have something to loose when we cooperate, doing divide and rule is stale , our generation is now wiser what u tried to achieve with SE & SS disunity, is the same reason I mentioned lagos so no qualms if SS and SE are begging each other to cooperate and ward off enemies |
Basic123:I still don't understand ur tribes obsession with separating south east from south south. ur govt has tried it geographically by splitting us even though there is no word like south south in any geography text book, that word just existed all in a desperation by the govt to divide and rule us. anyway, igbos don't mind having niger delta republic along side Biafra as far as the two regions will be free. but don't forget that lagos through the oba has dissociated themselves from the yorubas. should we now call lagos "west west geopolitical zone" instead of south west even though they share names and cultures the same way our south south brothers share names and cultures. we are happy to beg south south and not you. mind u am from south south |
sarrki:ipob created a situation! hmnm, that means igbos are no longer safe, that means igbos have only the option of staying in Nigeria or die sarki, is this how we are supposed to live as humans. forget tribe and support justice for all igbos want to live in peace and justice, which is what they are demanding or they break away without hurting anybody instead u lots are ganging up to hurt them. remember they have never killed anybody in this quest, just rhetorics can u imagine everybody talking about one Nigeria and nobody is talking about justice. we igbos want justice for ourselves but we don't know whether others want same for themselves. if u dont want to fight along with us for justice, just be neutral and stop attacking us the victims. we are the prey here and not the predators. moral wise, if u must attack its the predator |
Wallade:I listened to a Yoruba man on channels tv the other day , he said "its difficult for any southerner to raise a bill at the national assembly and it scales through because they have fewer states 17 states for the south and 19 states for the north" he said more states translates to more senators and more house of reps members. and as u know democracy is a game of numbers.so the region with the highest vote advantage can easily throw away the others bill with its advantaged numbers, thereby determining ur destiny for u. so let the south demand for justice of equal states before all of u start shouting that we should go to the national assembly to table our case for referendum and others. an assembly that has been so created in a way that it will favour only one region . a difference of one or two votes matters as can be seen in their current vote on devolution of power where it was defeated by just two votes, 38 against and 36 for it |
GoroTango:justice will only be seen to be done if both groups are arrested together or don't u think that in this heterogeneous Nigeria where tribalism is rife, arresting one and leaving one will mean open bias. in ur post u even said its long overdue, so why wait |
omenkaLives:all these things u put up there are just political fights between political parties trying to outwit each other and also between individuals and jonathan , organisations and jonathan that's why u keep mentioning the names of the individuals and organisations u think he wronged in your write up. remember he didn't jail anybody. but we are being threatened today with jail over free speech but the difference this time around is that this govt is barring all Nigerians on free speech jona picked people and organizations which is 0.0001%, but this govt policy and threats will affect all of us on free speech which is 100% of Nigerian population that will be affected comparing what I wrote above and also to how jonathan was thoroughly abused and accused by the opposition and nobody was jailed or threatened with jail. u can safely say that jonathan is the king of free speech |
Itzhak:its not only igbos find out, most southerners even yorubas when they are posted to the core north for their NYSC will start scheming for redeployment for fear of their safety. remember the NYSC members killed in 2011 during the elections |
Bolustical:but why then are u afraid of allowing them go |
Funkybabee:three most important things in life: food , shelter and clothing any policy that don't start with these three is anti people. its like counting from ten to one or putting the cart before the horse |
Danialuone:I remember u supporters were saying that we should give u one year, one year is gone u people started saying two years two years is gone now, even one of u said we should stone u people if after two years things don't improve am surprised that u people are now asking for indefinite time any planning that lacks timing is no plan at all. from what I can deduce for the past two years u people are depending on luck, fate, miracle and oil price increase to perform no large economies depend on these to thrive, they plan with time and also knows what the outcome will be every quarter please give us ur timing and its outcome or stop defending a government that has not given us any plan and timing |
Originalsly:u are digressing. we are talking of Nigeria here, not catholic church. catholic church is a subset of Nigeria. while Nigeria is a whole that covers catholic church and others. if u don't like what they are doing in catholic church, don't go, u have a choice but in the case of Nigeria, we have been made to understand that we don't have a choice so stop comparing what they are doing in catholic church to what is happening in Nigeria. e no rhyme at all. look for another defence |
sokera:are u people imitating jonathan and PDP? then kindly explain the meaning of CHANGE there should have been no need to vote out PDP if its continuity that we want. so please stop referring us backwards its ur turn now to act according to ur promises. generate ur own cash with good policies and use it to work. |
origima:the topic is rat invasion not "come and do propaganda" for ur god . Your corruption allegation tactics against last regime is stale |
SOLMICHAEL:I get annoyed when people talk about unity without JUSTICE whatever happened to JUSTICE it should be JUSTICE first, then unity will naturally fall in place without forcing it |
MrHistorian:but he ruled six years and it wasn't as bad as this. what other proof do u need to know that GEJ is a better manager and ha better economic ideas with his cabinet. this ur hero ruled two years with inconsistent economic policies and fake cabinet and we are 100yrs backward .and please spare me oil price was high story because this govt is benefitting from fuel price increase, and he is not paying subsidy like jonathan, he is also gaining from recovered loot and TSA, and N50 on every deposit we make at the banks plus VAT, money he makes at the ports arising from the closure of land borders etc. what else does he need to make us happy |
earldoyex:are u supposed to use unemployment caused by the Nigerian state to laugh at them? that's one of the reasons they are opting out because the Nigerian state cant address unemployment |
[quote author=hahn post=58861548]Well Islam is a rather young religion and you would agree that Christianity was also the same in it's youth giving birth to the inquisitions, crusades, slavery etc And most of it's practitioners are very much ignorant and illiterate at what age will they be considered ripe enough to stop violence because Christianity has stopped theirs since you are copying all the bad things that happened in Christianity are u even making any headway with violence in this modern world? |
mpowa:how can u count two before u count one. its referendum first |
bankylan:the mother country, Nigeria should grant them independence first, then all these things u listed above will fall in place naturally you don't count two before you count one. its independence first before all these. you just want to push them to get it the hardest of ways. is it not possible to get it peacefully? without undergoing war and these sufferings u listed above. or is it because we are black men so things must be done in crude ways |
Bolustical:hypocrisy is when u still drill oil from biafran land and yet cant fund biafran projects. leave our resources alone let us manage it ourselves |
NtoAkwaIbom:this is digression, all these logos and seals will remain as far as independence has not been granted the topic here is the unity of the south south and south east |
that's the spirit, the two regions are one, the affinity between them is much, they can hardly do without each other thank God for this , while we forge ahead and forget those that try to divide us for their selfish gains |
bakila:its because buhari is not around to rig order for its rigging. osinbajo will be rigging free like jonathan |
rkennyking:my opinion is that Osinbajo did not allow rigging, if troublesome Buhari was around he wouldn't have allowed INEC to announce PDP as winner, it would have taken 3 days to announce the result and perfect the rigging . it would have been rigged . I don't see Osinbajo as a rigger, Osinbajo will be rigging free just like jonathan |
crazysam001:and moreso, I got information now that the asabas, agbors and kwales, ogwashi, someone even mentioned Onitsha and all other igbos in the niger delta have benin links, they are also migrants of the benin kingdom, but that does not make them non igbos, they are still igbos |
Rikidony:then u are not a good teacher either by default or by training, so u should learn from the born teachers by the way, what indicators made u think u are absolutely right, so u don't have to reason with people even the bible said ' come lets reason together' we must continue to reason together until the best comes out |
crazysam001:u mean they will kill us more than the hausas and fulanis? |
crazysam001:am a rivers man, we share border with the ikwerres, I don't know this but its informative, I will dig deep and find out more, that internet map is still hazy to me, i don't think that map is conclusive, I will now embark on one on one discussion with elders to know more. but I still wonder why they share common culture, names, religion , boundary and inter - marriage with the igbos instead of benin |
crazysam001:no we mustn't go together, some of our people like me a rivers man want Biafra, while some don't want. the only reasonable thing to do to assuage the two groups is referendum, and that is what ipobs are asking for |
MasterKim:referendum works for both confederation and federation. so whats ur point or is Nigeria not a federation? |
Rikidony:u don't have a reasonable response that's why u insult keep off biafran mention too because am here to oppose anti biafrans |
