yarimo: none of court business who chase him out. So even if there is evidence that the army attacked him and his family members and he escaped by whiskers you still want him to come and be killed. The law doesn't work that way. What the law needs is evidence that is why with a doctors report/evidence you can skip trial to a later date Have you heard of the word "force majeure" before? |

yarimo: how is that court business if NNAMDI KANU was attacked or not ? ABARIBE must produce NNAMDI KANU in court as agreed in the first place or go to prison. He was attacked by the same people that took him to court. They killed several of his lieutenants including his parents. The evidence is there. All these needs to be considered, it's not as straightforward as you think. Kanu was chased away by the military |

Where is thy conscience? If the government wants truth they wouldn't have removed the cameras and put off lights Now the truth is obscure and in darkness the same people that put off the lights are complaining. Sensible people are putting one and two together to come out with the truth and it's the government that made it so because they put off lights and camera. The second line bold. That's my clear reason why I don't support Tribalism as a basis for presidency. Or you mean testing of powers because we are looking for a competent man?? I disagree Sir! I stay in Lagos and work around iddo terminus. All the northerners selling onions, beans, tomatoes, rice etc are not Nigerians. During Niger Republic and Chad elections they will all disappear to their various countries to go and vote. They told me so themselves that most of them are not Nigerians. PMB further demonstrated it in 2019 elections when he brought in two governors from Niger Republic to assist in the campaigns to convince Niger Republic citizens here to vote for him. That means during our elections they will close most markets in Niger Republic to allow their people to vote here |

gaius01: Really, tasting for power should be pass around like children game? Infaçt this statement has shown how chidish your verdict is. We are tired of passing around politics all we want Is a change, Nigeria have grown to complacent over the years and the change should start now .
If passing of power was responsible as you insinuate, then we would have seen better government than now. When Obasanjo was on throne the level of castigation from people was much some term him as a corrupt leader. Good luck regime was awesome just that bokoharam spoiled everything despite that His regime was the best. And now we have this derelict leader call buhari who lack absolutely dexterity to handle the affairs of Nigeria and you can testify to the hardship and bemusement. So after this era what do you think Nigeria to expect next, tasting of power from one ethical group to the other or a competent man who have the enablement to handle Nigeria at large irrespective of his religion and geographical location.
Do you have any thoughts to oppose this, let me hear ! I agree that every region should taste the power before finally jettisoning it, if not only one region with help from Niger and Chad populations coupled with the highest almajiri population will continue to rule. Every region can boast of that competent Nigerian you are talking about. Nigeria is too Multi-Ethnic and diverse not to do rotational presidency |

I dare say an Igbo presidency for the sake of it would sink Nigeria deeper and would hurt the opinion of other Nigerians towards Igbo if and when such a person fails. ethicallyright: Kudos to the Yoruba people for preserving their culture , heritage and identity.
The Yoruba people are really a special tribe in Africa. People from other places envy them because those people fail to understand history. A little sojourn in the realm of history reveals that democracy was not alien to the Yorubas. The old Oyo empire had checks and balances which included an impeachment procedure of the Alaafin of Oyo . The legislature was not a rubber one like we have always had in modern Nigeria. A parrot head in a calabash was enough to send a dictatorial Alaafin on a suicide mission.
It was with this commendable democratic principle of inclusion and liberalism that Asiwaju , the Jagaban of Planet Earth, built the city housing the most billionaires in Sub-saharan Africa . A city open to visitors than nowhere else in Nigeria even though these visitors do not wish the Yoruba people well. If you doubt my assertion check the names of the "purported" Lekki massacre victims and you will find more visitors than natives.
Victims of the alleged Shite massacre bore names rampant in Northern Nigeria, Victims of Awkuzu SARS genocide bore names rampant in South Eastern Nigeria. Even if you argue that it is a Nigerian thing or not a modern 2020 thing, I'll remind you of the Iranian missile air defence crises in January ,2020, which happened in Iranian airspace and not even on ground and it had 95% Iranian casualties. That there are less Yoruba victims in an alleged military activity that happened in their soil (even in the hearsay CNN report) is the eighth wonder of the world. Rubbish write up. Stop crying and blame your forefathers. Are you not the ones that fought a war for other nigerians to continue to stay in your region That is one of the gains of the war your forefathers fought to make sure other nigerians are many in your region and that only your sea /air ports will serve 200million Nigerians I know you are ready to fight again for igbos to continue to stay in Lagos and your region. Thank you for the fight, we appreciate, we are now enjoying Lagos. No going back. You can only complain but can't do anything about it. Itesiwaju Eko |

SIRTee15: So u telling me Yoruba land can't be great without getting the presidency in 2023. That the future of the yoruba race is heavily dependent on a Yoruba man becoming president on 2023. Obasanjo that was president for 8 years, how did he help Yoruba people. U guys are not serious.
Tinubu is gradually introducing almajiri economic system into Yorubaland. Where there will be few ultrawealthy elites and millions will be left to wallow in poverty. The latter will now depend on crumbs from former to survive. That's the Yoruba leader u want me to support because of 2023 aspiration. I keep saying it, the mindset of the present Yoruba youth is too docile. It lacks the will for disruptive innovation and economic renaissance we were formerly known for. Tinubu rent seeking economy has completely wrecked the soul of our youths. They now believe the best way to success is the pathway of least resistance.
Look at our present wealthy elites, none of them are industrialists in the likes of odutola, Razaq okoya, bode Akindele, subomi balogun, otudeko etc. The present ones are simply wealth distributors not wealth creators- mostly beneficiary of oil blocks or oil licence. Unfortunately, the youths are not stepping up. They are equally joining the practice of making wealth via rent seeking or political patronage. No wonder for the first time in Yoruba history, to be at the federal level has become a do or die affair. Yoruba youths now believe in the sham called One Nigeria and do not want to hear anything about RESTRUCTURING- what a shame.
Whether we like it or not, Tinubu's tenure as the leader of the Yoruba people has been the most retrogressive n depressing in modern era. U can't just point out to any legacy or remarkable achievement of his leadership despite being in charge for more than 10 years. Our competitive edge is being eroded, Yoruba politicians are as corrupt as their contemporaries if not worse, we struggling to latch on our indigenous ingenuity to bring out the greatness in us. Being at the centre will not change anything, it will only enrich Tinubu and his cronies. This is the Yoruba ronu we should be talking about. Wao, I love this This is what an academic and a great thinker should write. Don’t mind those ones celebrating mediocrity. If Yorubas allow this mediocre foundation Tinubu is laying to stand in Yorubaland where agberos become celebrity. Yorubas will not be able to withstand any world competition again. Yoruba ronu. Your academic edge is already been eroded by mediocrity |

However Tinubu will beat Atiku hands down here in the north, not only because the general knowledge is that Nigeria's continued existence is anchored on the rotation principle, but because we already know Atiku is a bad candidate and a sellout munafuki. I won't say more than that. Rotation is not in the constitution Just be deceiving yourself. We are waiting.
