I went with the option B. that is, the propeller was removed and the car is now fully FWD only. the problem is that the fuel gauge is not accurate. when its full, it shows half. when its empty, it shows three quarter etc. overtime, my dad has gotten used to the fuel gauge. he now understands the false reading and knows when to top up. you dont sound like the average driver in nigeria that breaths toyota, eats toyota and sleeps toyota. going by your passion for driving excellence, i promise you that you would get tired of the camry pretty quick. i used to think like the average nigerian, so i owned a 2007 accord for years b4 switching to a 2008 fx35, then i made a giant leap to a 2013 bmw x3 f25. my dear, the difference is clear. there's no comparison. mind you, there are bmw parts at ladipo, available and reasonably priced (infact, there's a whole street at ladipo specifically for bmw). my advice, i know where your heart is. go for it. forget the average nigerians negative talk about german cars. so far, my bmw is Mr Reliable. iv traveled all over nigeria with her and she's never disappointed. she's a head turner everyday. she gets more attention than the venzas and rx350s and highlanders etc. anonymousjuju: |
mileage is certainly a misnomer. there are many factors affecting the performance of an engine beyond mileage. 100 miles of start-stop (city) traffic has more wear and tear effects on an engine than 500miles of highway driving at steady speed. the service records, quality of replacement parts and driving habits are more important considerations than number of miles on the odometer. my present car is a 2012 BMW X3 which I bought in 2015 @ 146,000miles. on average, that is like 41,000miles of driving every year. such high mileage over a 4 year period is most certainly due to highway driving. I have no issues whatsoever with the car and my friends are always surprised when they see the odometer. bottom line, due diligence and experience is important when considering to buy any car whether 500 miles or 500,000miles. #my2cents.

So my sister-in-law was posted to Borno state for the ongoing NYSC orientation camp, but she's camping in Bauchi state due to the security situation in Borno. Below are some pictures of the dilapidated building where she and some others girls have been condemned to spend 21 days. The rooms are dingy, infested with bed bugs and a sickening stench of urine. This is wicked and totally unacceptable! Why should a country treat her citizens less than pigs and expect any form of productivity or patriotism from them! It's a shame! I beg you all to please share this post until it gets to the Presidency. Our graduates deserve better! CC: Lalasticlala, Mynd44

princemillla:Just curious. Is your car at a mechanic in Shasha, Lagos? |
duwdu:I don't understand 'band'. and how to go about checking it. I'm just your average phone user, not a techie. |

So was on a queue at a bank and I was very bored. I brought out my phone to check Nairaland, to my surprise the signal strength was a 4G LTE. This is the first time ever. The connection speed was super fast. Less than 2 seconds to open an average website like Nairaland, Google or Wikipedia. I'm quite impressed and pleasantly surprised at the same time. HighBK:i will advice you to go ahead and buy your BMW. no regrets. i bought a 2012 BMW x3 xdrive28i last december. The X3 is basically a 3series on steroids. i agree there are limited options in the market for BMW enthusiasts especially recent years, i had to go to cotonou to get mine after months of searching in lagos. BMW maintenance and reliability is at par with benz which are both more reliable than the other german carmaker audi/volkswagen. hit me up for any further enquiries. i'd be glad to welcome you to the exclusive club. |
good day house, i recently applied for tourist visa for my family (me, my wife and 2 years old son). today, they approved visas for me and my son, and they rejected my wife's application. their reason being that she did not provide sufficient evidence that she will leave at the expiration of her stay. now , my question. pls what is the procedure for appealing a rejected application? does she need to book another appointment? kindly advice pls. thanks. |
good evening guys, im new here. im planning a vacation to hiddenhausen with my wife and son this summer. i have the invitation letter and all other docs. my questions are 1) about getting a visa appointment at the consulate, i cant access the portal online. 2) do i need to have a confirmed flight booking? |
wanderlustian:u mean u paid fully for ur flight b4 getting the visa? what if u hadn't gotten it? just wondering. |
wanderlustian:nice to know you both are enjoying your trip. i have a quick question though. when you applied for your visa, did u submit a confirmed flight reservation as part of your application? i am about submitting my german visa application. |
