Kayode, He is up to his tricks. He once said to me that he was going to be rich in Nigeria. That sneaky devil. Kay you make me laugh. |
This is pedophilia. This is rape and sexual exploitation of someone's child. |
A man who knows how to french kiss and send shivers from my toes to the top of my head. When both people know what they are doing, it is so pleasureable. It is pre-intimacy. It gets stuff flowing downtown. |
They are simply a product of their society. Nigeria is a shallow and materialistic society where money, and position, and titles are the core of the nation. |
Karma is a bitch. Can an old man actually expect his young wife to be faithful to him? That is crazy. He knows he was buying her youth and she was in it for the money. Does he think she actually loves him. It is his money baby and he knows that is the only way he can get or keep a young woman. I suspect the woman is just sexually frustrated and she can get her freak on freely with a young stud who can keep up. I think the thread starter should stay out it. It is not her concern. |
Folks, I have a book suggestion for y'all. It is Dreams of Africa in Alabama by Slyvaine Diouf. It is about the last cargo of Africans to come into the US in 1860. The core group were Naijas, and some of their living quarters was under the masters house. Please read and review in books at nigeriavillagesquare.com. It is call Yoruba Nem. |

You are his sugar mama. He is a loser. |
Mind your business. I am sure the husband has a sex buddy. If the woman doesn't see her husband regular, what do you expect her to do. It is none of your concern. She is an adult. |
You can hear a rat piss on cotton(people get real quiet, not a sound) A hit dog hollers the loudest(when truth is spoken, the person who is guilt makes the most noise) The rooster makes more noise then the hen dat laid de egg(the person who suffers the least makes the most complaints.) Pretty is as pretty does You can put out the fire, but what you gonna do with the spoke(for example you lie that you ain't having no sex, but your stomach is getting bigger) Empty wagon maks a lot of noise(people who ain't got nothing much to say and got no sense, as James Brown said "Talkin' Loud Ain't Saying Nothin') |
Nawah, Your story is sad. But I think it is a good idea for neighbors not to bother and exposed themselves to violence. The woman is there and hasn't made a move to leave. So though I would feel sorry for her, I would not intervene. It is none of my business. The women who get beat up by their husbands is a sad thing, but I would never put my self at risk for someone else's decisions. I just know if that man ever came after me one of use is going to grave yard. |
Can anyone say "greed card." |
Money a lot of the times is a primary factor. He may be a good provider, though hard to look at. There are other possible reason. Maybe, he treats her well. Many ugly men have try harder to get a woman. Most of them know they must have their act together, because he can't draw women by his looks. He generally has to develop himself as a human being. Whereas many goodlooking guys are shallow and little substance to them because they had their looks to rely bring in |
There is an excellent dvd called "The Real Eve" produce by the Discovery Channel. It is excellent modern humans ancestors began migrating out of Africa about 150, 000 years ago. Remember religion is based on belief, not facts. Every people have created myths to explain their existence. Evolution is a fact y'all. Humans are descendents of the great Apes. That why the Apes have 98% of the same dna that humans have. Creation is just another myth. Free your mind and your ass will follow. George Clinton of Parliment Funkedelic. I do understand people's fear. To acknowledge that your entire belief systems is just that, a set of beliefs and not fact, can really disturb the mind. Again, the world's people have created numerous myths about their existence in the world. Owala, Why don't you read some books. Get your head out of the bible and not so tied up in the what the preacher say. You know da preacher is a great 419 boy. Or maybe you are too scurrrrred? Fear is a powerful emotion. Ise you a big chicken?! |
If you want to be respected and be the man of the house, you need to take on the man's responsiblity. Your wife isn't your roommate. You can't call yourself a real man, if you expect the woman to take on your manhood responsibility of being a provider. |
I have noticed that many African women are bleached. Being an AA, I am used to seeing various hues of black folks among my own. A bleached skins just stands out. They have this unnatural skin coloring. Also, I know what some AFricans refer to as light skin would not be considered light skinned in AA culture. In fact the most beautiful Naijas I have seen generally are dark brown and black complexed. People are African descent are pretty much screwed up in de head. They have been taught to hate themselves and adore anything that is appears to African. P.S. I do feel that it is people's right to identify how they want to. I am not African per se, but I am an amalgam of various African people from long ago. I consider myself a "new world" African of North America, specifically the US. I know that sounds like a contradiction. However, I don't have any emotional and psychological connection to any group on the African continent, but I acknowledge that I am a descendent of various AFricans who were brought to the US against their will. Because of our experiences and history, this make us a seperate and distinct ethnic group. Dru you are right. African American popular culture influences the planet. We just got it like that! Yes the world knows who we are. This is why I feel that we have so much influence, and we need to use it more positively. In reference to the Igbos, I heard that during the 300 transatlantic slave period it was customary for the big men to offer their women sexually to the white men who came to their territories. It is just a rumor. I don't know if there is any fact to it. Could it be that these women produced offsprings from their sexual encounters? |
4, It is my money. Why is it your business how I spend it? Do you pay my mortgage? If not, it is not any of your business. |
AAs are a very diverse groups. I think for this to have meaning we need a number of AAs to give their point of view. |
I have two excellent books for those who want to enrich their mind, that may add something to this discussion. They are as follows: Dreams of Africa in Alabama by Slyvaine Diouf Exchanging Our Country Marks: Exchaning African Identities by Michael Gomez. The Igbos and the West Central Africans are discussed in length as it relates to their presence in the US and how they evolved in to one people over time. |
D-Punk aka Hell I don't even remember, Talk all you want fool. I am going to keep giving him my money. You just jealous because you will never be respected or appreciated enough to draw the kind of money or audience he does. I am going to be in the theatre opening day, with my girls, and we are going to help him get richer. P.S. What black dude uses the word "gosh?" That is such a nerd or white boy phrase. What a sissy. |
I love when people bad mouth Tyler. It motivates me to pay to see his movies several times in the theatres and buy his dvds. As long as he projects something positive and I can relate to, he has my money. I want him to become disgustingly rich, where he has the resources to delve into other things. I absolutely loved "Why." It was the most enjoyable movie I had seen all year. I rarely support commercial theatre, but I will go and pay to see a Tyler production. Someone was right, I would say that about 90% of the movies shown commerically is hyped junk. Yet that doesn't stop folks from paying to see the junk. Tyler appeals to a particular audience. P.S. Meet the Browns will open March 21, 2008. Tyler primary supporters are AA christian black women. As long as he keeps us happy, he will be okay. I paid to see why 6 times. I did not sit throught the movie six times, but I plunked down my money. When the haters were raking him over the coals, I was opening my wallet. Let your haters be your motivators. I believe many folks are simply angry that they could never receive that kind of support and success, and it eats them up alive. He gives the folks what they want, and he is rewarded handsomely. If you project isn't getting the same kind of atention, then obviously the folks don't want what you got. Go Tyler. |
Biafra, What is your favorite Fred Sanford line? One of my favorites is when he is pretending he is going to glory and meet his long departed wife. He puts his hand on his heart and says "I am coming Elizabeth!" One one Aunts Esther's favorite insults to Fred "you ugly, fished eyed fool!" One funny episode is when Aunt Esther wanted to get Fred to have her women club meetin in his house. Fred wasn't having. The church women and Aunt Esther come anyway and they pray and sing him around the sofa. *note: The title "Everybody Hates Chris", according to Chris Rock, he was one of very few black in a working class Italian community. He would be called "nigger" like it was his first name and get beat up on the regular. He said everybody hated him. What do you think about Fred's friends Bubba and Grady? He would alway call Lamont, his son, you big dummy! My favorite sitcoms are All in the Family, the Jefferson, Good Times, Cosby, Living Single, Married with Children. The new school sitcomes I love are Two & Half Men, Everybody Hates Chris, and my all time favorite Bernie Mack. Bernie Mack is absolutely my favorite. The characters portray real people I can relate to. I also liked Frazer. These two prissy and pretentious brothers, with their down to earth daddy is a hoot. They were still lovable, but annoying. Fraizer and his brother had a hard time finding love. |
Ifya, It would seem like there could be room for abuse. I mean it would appear that this could be a good 419 con. You know take folks money. Then pretend the child is cared for properly and take the child back, to be sold to the next person. |
Left, You are absolutely right in your assessment. I use to wonder why Nigerians behave the way they did, i.e. tactless, crass, rude, abrasive, overbearing, etc. Then I went to Nigeria. I understood. The society is a harsh place. Once I witnessed a bus stop to pick up passenger, and the adult pushed children to the pavement in order to get a seat. Now this is the sort of treatment little children get. So what do you think will become of the little children? |
If you wants to hear some real soul, the original trendsetters, I suggest you look at the following artists: Donny Hathaway, Same Cooke, Curtis Mayfield, Teddy Pendergrass, Chaka Khan, Johnny Taylor, Koko Taylaor(soul-blues), Marvin Gaye, etc., etc. |
I have not met a Nigerian who doesn't where European clothing. If you wear their clothing, why can't they wear yours? |
Simb African men only marry older women for papers and financial reasons. He is with you for his papers. Don't get it confused. He needs his papers. |
