I think Laudett gave some good advice.  If he is the eldest male, his family is a tremendous financial burden on him.  Being the eldest male or only male is not a good thing to be.

I can only say as a black American woman that I know very few black American women who are sexually attracted to white men.  So you want ever see that happening among AA women in any significant numbers.  We are absolutely not impressed by their manhood.  Most importanly, black women history in this country relative to white men isn't a pleasant one.  So we don't hold them in high regard or generally see them a viable marriage or sexual partners.

Most AA women desire a man from their cultural group, like most people.  I know some women who would rather be manless than settling for a non-AA man. However, there may have be a shift in including viable men of color.  I think the younger AA women may be more open to marrying outside of their cultural group.  

Again, for most AA women I know the thought of marrying a non-AA man is something hard to let go.

When come to black men and white women, they are usually butt ugly, white trash.  They usually on the bottom of white society.  These nothings know that many black men feel lowly about themselves.  They are with these guys because most decent white men would not give them the time of day.  However, they know black men who don't feel good about themselves will woship their whiteness, even thought they are considered by the own to be white trash.  Also most of these guys live off of these females.  They are easier to use.

Which American accent do you want to imitate? There are so many and various dialets. You have various accents. I met a man the other day. I knew he was a southerner, but not an Alabamian. He was Texan. He is white. He has that redneck, white trash accent.

A Lousianian has various accents within that state. Do you speak Cajun, creole, proper, or one the black dialets that is mingle with creole. So you have to decide what region and people you want to imitate.

I must stay that Naijas sound and look so stupid when pretending to be something they are not. But if looking stupid is you thing. I say go for it.

No I am not a Nigerian.

I am not too found of Naija foods.  However, I love me some suya, catfish pepper soup, stew and fried plantain.

Eating the suya is tricky.  Because the way food is prepared in Naija is not too hygenic.  If you have ever gone to the meat market, you won't care to eat any meat, unless shipped into Naija or you directly saw it killed and prepared. 

What I do is prey hard, then I eat my suya with chopped onions and tomatoes, and drink ginger beer or tonic water.  I like the exploding taste in my mouth.  When I intend to go out an eat suya, I always take my knife, onion, and tomatoe with me. 

I learned to like boiled yam with fried eggs.  I like that sew over the rice, minus the rubber piece a beef.  My teeth aren't strong enough for rubber beef.  I like my meat tender and easy to chew. But Naijas love the rubber beef.  I always give that to my companion.  I don't really like pounded yam.  But I will eat a little to be socialable.  Whenever I eat it, I feel sick.  It is like it gets stuck in my stomach and just sits there.  I have learned if I eat a piece the size of my fist, I am okay.

I find many Naija foods and stews and sauces tend to be slimy.  I hate slimy.  But I love my some suya, catfish pepper soup, and stew and friend banana.

I also love to be in Naija during the mango season.  I gorged myself with those things.

I liked going to the bukkas at night to eat my catfish pepper soup. Of course NEPA is acting up, so we take a flash light and candles so we can see what we eating. Of course, the girl waiting on us always tries to pretend she forgot our change, and we have to get in a very altercation to give us our dang money. See I was going to give her tip. But the heffa is trying to steal from me.

The Yorubas have the enslaved Africans and their descendents in the African dispora for saving their religion and bringing it to the world. I believe very little influence have come from present day Yorubas. It is the black Americans(Orisha-Vodoo), the Cubans(Lucumi), the African Latinas(Santeria) have made the belief system known and popular. Each group has created their own version that speaks specifically to their existence in the Americas.

Yes there are even some Ifa worshippers.

I have never met a Yoruba who had anything good to say about their traditional religion. They usually jump on the band wagon once they know it is known and popular outside of the African continent by non-Africans(African descendents though).

Lagos driving is pure hell 24/7. It is not safe. It is best if you can get a driver. There are constant go slows. You are scared of being descended on while stuff in traffic by armed robbers. I saw drive a "hoopdee", if you can, and don't flaunt anything. You will just be attracting them to you. They are everywhere from clean cut(excellent english) to hood rats prowling. As much as possible, blend in with the crowd.

It is only the theives that rob your coffers, and forces you and your people to the four corners of the earth, that can afford to live on the islands. Interesting pictures. They all look like they were taken on Ikoyi and Victoria Islands. This is not how Nigeria looks on foot. I know you guys want to present a positive image of Naija, but distorting the truth is not a good idea. The average Naija can't afford to buy a can of coke where most of the Expatriates live. They could never live there. This is not how the average Naija lives, which is 99%, who happen to live on the mainland in the various neighborhood and communities.

I think you do a dis-service to yourselves by not showing how the masses live. Simply I think when people visit and realized they were lied to they go back home and tell everybody. However, if you are honest up front, then I think people will be more open to the adventure by visiting Nigeria.

Again, only the foreign workers, primarily connected to the oil industry lives in these places. And even I, if I had money, would not buy property on those islands. The traffice is pure hell, and the quality of life sucks. It once took me two hours, once I was on the the island, to get to the Meridan Hotel.

The Atlantic is re-claiming Bar Beach. However, I don't mean to rain on your parade. I just think it is important to give the real picture of how the majority of Nigerians exist daily.

I climbed Olumo Rock on my first visit to Nigeria, which lasted for 4 months.  I got 3/4 of the way, and looked down, and realized where I was.  The last part of the climb had nothing for you to hold on to.  I thought 3/4 of the way was pretty good. Climbing that rock any further, you are putting your life in danger.

My patience with Nigeria is zero.  Naijas have know sense of history and perserving history.  It is just incredible.  Do you know the Ijebe Odi has one of the largest, ancient earthworks on the continent, and those idiots are destroying it.  I don't see it being perserved unless foreigners come in, control it , and operate it. 

It is like coming to Badagry, and these fools are praising the missionary and slave traders.  Now why would the African diaspora come pay their money to hear how wonderful their ancestors tormentors were.
