Reports filtering in from Akwa Ibom state have it that some heavily armed robbers went on rampage few hours ago as they pursued and intercepted a vehicle with government plate number at Paul Bassey street by brooks street, Uyo. Akwa Ibom capital.

No life was lost in the process. The armed robbers are said to have targeted the car which was conveying a huge amount of money.

It is said that the attack is just 2 minutes to the Akwa Ibom division Police Station and 3 minutes to Government House.

The hoodlums who riddled the vehicle with bullets and forced open the car - carting away with an undisclosed amount of money, were said to have been challenged by a police officer. More details to come
