Governor Okezie Ikpeazu is pleased to welcome the Vice President to Abia again, after he visited in February to flag off the SME clinic at Aba, the commercial and economic hub of Eastern Nigeria and SME capital of Nigeria...

While in God's own state, the Vice President will pay homage to the Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers at Okpara Auditorium, where he will be conferred with a Chieftaincy Title by the Abia monarchs.

After the brief event, the Vice President will commission the Abia Investment House built by the Governor Ikpeazu administration.

The final event of the day will hold at the Abia International Conference Centre, Ogurube Layout Umuahia, the venue for the Niger Delta dialogue/town-hall meeting.

The death of renowned Gospel artiste, Evang. Bayo Adegboyega was received with shock.   Adegboyega, aka Atayero died on Monday evening, 7th April, 2008 while observing his siesta after he returned from a trip to Ilorin. 

The Gospel minister, according to family sources, had a long battle with diabetes, which eventually led to the loss of his two eyes. He tried to raise funds for the eye surgery abroad in vain, he actually died in penury.

IGBOS ARE RARE.

1] You will see one Igbo man who has trained and settled more than 100 young men and all are doing well in their businesses.

I have seen people from other tribes buried here when they died, but when an Igbo die here they must gather and take the body home in solidarity.

Things Igbo people do together I have never seen in other tribes in Nigeria. An Hausa or Yoruba rich man would never do anything to help you, they rather be giving you 20 Naira every time they see you that is after you must greeted them tire.

It all started from just friends, to admirers and now we are dating. I have been with Joy for like a year now, we work around the same area, so it makes it easier for us to see daily.
