Saw this inside today's PUNCH and decided to share. As the bride, what would you do? We have a case in hand that a wife who happened to be a new bride discovered on the wedding night that the penis of her husband actually had two heads. The penis appeared as if it is divided into two, each having a feature of a complete head. This is actually a case of marriage by arrangement and correspondence. The man was abroad and the wife was here in Nigeria. They got together by friends’ arrangement. Marriage rites were performed with an absentee husband and the new couple got sexually involved the day the groom arrived to take his wife back with him |

I am not a politician and I don't support any political party. Maybe I like APC ways of doing things but that doesn't make me APC supporter. Early this morning while I was till in deep sleep, I dreamt that PDP won the governorship election in lagos state. We all know Lagos is the stronghold of APC, losing Lagos is like losing your grip. I am not a prophet neither am I a pastor, I am just a normal Nigeria who happens to have the gift of dreams. APC faithful should pray and be careful, or else they may lose out in this coming election. May the wish of God come through. God bless Nigeria. Thanks for your time. |

When God revealed it to the presiding pastor (Pastor and church’s identities withheld) of one of the Pentecostal churches in Ogba area of Lagos to organize a week long crusade last December, the man of God must have probably anticipated that God was planning to perform major miracles that would catapult his ministry to the next level. Indeed, miracles were not in short supplies at the crusade. However, the supposed miracles, as it turned out, have little or nothing to do with the church beyond the fact of the church being the host of the crusade where the ‘wonders’ took place. As it appears, God has only decided to use the church in question as a base to launch an assault against the wolves who parade themselves in sheep skin and to sanitize the Christendom which is being infiltrated by impostors who fake miracles with the sole intention of deceiving unsuspecting Christian faithful for selfish motive. No fewer than four members of a syndicate which specializes in stage-managing miracles in churches in the country are currently squealing on some pastors of notable churches they work for in the country as well as some of the miracles that they have conjured in conjunction with their accomplices. Undoubtedly, nothing short of a divine intervention would have been responsible for the arrest of the suspects who are currently furnishing the police with information about their modus operandi, past exploits and their accomplices. Sunday Sun reliably gathered that the church where the miracles took place had organized a week long programme during which a Ghanaian pastor (name withheld) was invited as a guest minister. The Ghanaian pastor, it was learnt, ministered for most part of the programmes during which a number of miracles was said to have taken place. The Ghanaian pastor, however, returned to Ghana a day before the last day of the crusade while the host pastor carried on with the programme. At the end of the programme, Sunday Sun gathered that a man and woman approached the host pastor from whom they requested to meet the Ghanaian pastor who they thought was the real pastor of the church. “They were shocked to discover that the Ghanaian pastor was only invited to minister during the programme,” a source who craved anonymity disclosed. Having recovered from their shocks “they informed the host pastor that the Ghanaian pastor hired them to stage-manage miracles that took place during the programme and promised to pay them the sum of N250,000 which he never did before he left. They later demanded that the host pastor pay them the said amount since their acts were staged in the church, a demand the pastor declined, insisting he knew nothing about it.” Sunday Sun further learnt that the host pastor would later call the Ghanaian pastor who allegedly denied knowing or contracting the gang. Confused by the turn of event, the host pastor called to inform one of his friends, a pastor who advised him to report the matter to the police since the people insisted they would not leave until they were paid for the services they rendered. “So he pretended to play along with them and succeeded in getting them arrested along with two other suspects. Among those arrested are two men who gave their names as Joshua Ifeanyi and Kazeem Akinwale and two women who identified themselves as Mary Arikawe and Kemi Adeniyi. The suspects who are currently being held at the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID Panti, Yaba, Sunday Sun was reliably informed are members of a syndicate which operates across the country. “They have confessed to be members of a syndicate which operates across the country. But those arrested so far are members of a seven-member gang which operational base is the South-west zone. There are other groups which operate in other zones in the country. The South-west group is headed by an Ibadan-based woman simply identified as Iya Ibo,” Sunday Sun was informed. Although the Ghanaian pastor denied knowing the group, his denial appears not to hold water as it was gathered that the host pastor was able to identify two of the suspects to include those who claimed to have received miracles under the ministration of the Ghanaian pastor . “One of the two men arrested was said to have been recognized by the host pastor as the one who came to the crusade with POP around his neck, which the Ghanaian pastor pulled off and got healed after he was prayed for. And again one of the women was identified as the one whom the pastor brought out from the congregation and revealed so many things about her which she also affirmed as true during the programme. One of the things he said about the woman is that her husband deserted her over three years ago, a claim the woman said was true. He later prophesied that her husband would return soon.” Revealing their mode of operation, the suspects reportedly said besides staging and being recipients of fake miracles, they also tried to get information about people, their problem and gave to their principals who would later relate to them during service as if he was seeing visions or receiving revelation from God. As at the last count no fewer than names of 10 persons who claimed to be men of God had been mentioned. But a police source informed Sunday Sun that the police are still on the trail of other suspects while investigation concerning pastors involved is still ongoing. “Cases such as this one require extreme caution. That is why we are being meticulous about those pastors that have been mentioned so far but I can assure you that thorough investigation will be done on the case,” the source disclosed.

NB: not real picture A storyline usually seen in Nollywood flicks has played out in the life of an Abakiliki-based businessman by the name Ekene Uzoigwe who last Saturday suffered a devastating embarrassment as a final year student of Federal Polytechnic Oko whom he had been bankrolling her education jilted him on their supposed wedding day. According to Dailypost, invited guests who had to witness the ceremony at St Patrick Catholic Church, Umuchu in Aguata Local government, Anambra State were not left out of the shock when the bride whose name was given as Ifunanya Igwebuike refused to show up to tie the knot. They later learnt that she called off the wedding arrangements for which had been concluded by both families. After keeping Uzoigwe and everyone else waiting for several hours at the church, she sent a message to the Parish Priest, Rev. Father Lawrence Maduagwu, intimating him that she was no longer interested and requested him to cancel the wedding. Ifunanya based her decision not to get into the marriage on the ground that she was a graduate unlike Uzoigwe whom she alleged was a school drop-out. When this was revealed, there was uproar in the church as guests started trooping out of the church shuddering at what happened. The development left Rev. Maduagwu with no option than to inform the groom and the guests who were already seated at the church hall that the wedding had been cancelled. The groom, while recounting his ordeal, informed that he proposed to Ifunanya for marriage and she agreed on condition that he would train her in a tertiary institution, which he agreed. After she secured admission, Uzoigwe took up the responsibility of financing her education upon an agreement that they would wed during her final year. He further disclosed that he had paid her bride price with her being part of the whole wedding plan. He even gave her parents N160,000 to prepare for the wedding, aside other arrangements and expenses incurred on the wedding and reception. The groom insisted that she did not inform him about her decision to back out of the wedding until he got to the church only for the priest to announce to him and his guests about the cancellation of the wedding. “If she had informed me, I would not have made arrangements. We had already cooked food and bought drinks for the wedding,” he said. Uzoigwe, who noted that he contacted her parents, said they informed him that they cannot force her asking him to come and take back the money he gave them to prepare for the wedding. The unfortunate groom disclosed that he was still shocked about what happened because he never had any quarrel with Ifunanya before the fateful day, adding that he made sure she was comfortable by making money available to her while in school. He had met Ifunanya at their home town, Umuchu, where he professed his love for her subsequently seeing her through school

One Afusat Jimoh who fell into boiling oil seven years ago, has narrated her sad story to Punch below: At the time, she was helping an aunt living in the Ejigbo area of Lagos State to fry some pieces of meat when she suddenly had epileptic convulsion and fell into the sizzling oil. While battling with the burns she sustained in the incident, her six-month-old child fell ill and died, followed by the death of her husband. Punch Metro learnt that after many years of trying to find solutions to her woes, her mother also abandoned her and fled. The Lagos State Government, which promised to foot the bills for a face-lift surgery, was said to have defaulted on its pledge. It was learnt that Afusat now begs for alms in order to raise funds for her surgery. Punch Metro visited Ijeshatedo Street in the Surulere area of Lagos, where the Kwara State indigene resides with an uncle, Abdullahi Ayinla. She had a veil on her body with which she covered her injuries. She said, “I was helping my aunt to fry some pieces of meats. There was nobody at home that day and I didn’t know when I felt dizzy and unconsciously fell into the hot oil that I was using to fry the meat.“People came late to my rescue, by which time the oil had damaged my face, arm and neck.” Afusat said she was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she spent four months before being transferred to the Burns Unit of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja. While the hospital doctors were battling to restore her health, her baby, Fatai, died. She said, “My child died because I could not breastfeed him. After his death, my husband was no longer coming to the hospital to check on me and that gave me some concerns. After several months, we decided to look for him at their family house. I was told that he had died and his family did not want to compound my woes, which was why they left me in the dark. “Right now, I also don’t know where my mother is. She has left me for years and I have lost all contacts with her. The only person I have around me now is my uncle and my old father who visits once in a while. ‘’I was selling ready-made clothes, but people were afraid of patronising me because of my looks. This was why I started begging to complement the little my uncle provides.’’ It was learnt that the family’s efforts to raise funds for her to undergo a surgery, had not yielded any result. A document, purportedly issued by an Indian medical facility in Mumbai, Wockhardt Hospitals, dated July 2012, showed that the cost of the surgery was N3m, excluding her cost of travel. A non-governmental organisation, Dot Human Development, was said to have written the Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, requesting support for the victim. The state’s Ministry of Health, in another letter by the then Permanent Secretary, Dr. Femi Olugbile, directed LASUTH management to do the surgery free of charge. The letter, dated April 2013, reads in part, “Afusat accidentally fell into boiling oil during an epileptic attack six years ago. She sustained a third degree burns to the face that healed with scarring and disfigurement of the face. “Following a request, she was referred to LASUTH for assessment and recommendation. The plastic surgeon and the Ophthalmologist both confirmed that the corrective surgery can be done in LASUTH. “In view of the above, you are kindly requested to carry out the surgery on the victim on compassionate ground. Please forward the details of cost of management to the Ministry of Health for consideration.” A reaction to the letter, dated July, 2013, however, said, “The initial procedure in this patient will involve the insertion of tissues which will be procured from outside sources.” The victim’s uncle, Ayinla, said the LASUTH doctors explained to the family that they needed funds from the state government to procure the tissue and without it, they would not be able to do anything. “We started going to the state secretariat to see how they will give the LASUTH doctors the money, but they kept directing us from one desk to the other. We were frustrated and we had to leave the hospital,” he added. When contacted, the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Jide Idris, did not pick his call. A text message sent to his phone had also yet to be replied to as of the time of filing this report.
