yoddy: Dude, be careful what you wish for. Have you ever wondered why people older than 30 struggle and lie about their age to take part in the NYSC program? It is just so they can claim they are younger than they really are and apply for some entry level jobs. An exemption certificate certifies you are older than what most employers would want for entrylevel jobs.if you follow the multitudes' attitudes, you will not have the attitudes to be followed by d multitudes- Big-T My brother, for you to excel in thus life, you need a push!! This is a great step which needs confidence! Must everybody serve Hell NO!! And for the pessimistics, i am very sure that it has never occurred to you that the so-called youth corpers used to have a high tension when about to finish their terms!! Respect is reciprocal!! Ethically, the boss demands some respect. He is pinned, he have to do it and see what his boss will say (if they were true friends). In this life, some people are served what they dont deserve; its now up to them to confront it, live with it, or flee from it! -big-T!!in my office, there is a man who is older than our oga. He says yes sir,etc everytime and oga also reciprocates!! |

Nigeria is to host the 24th edition of the World Economic Forum (WEF) on Africa in Abuja next year. The Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance, DrNgozi Okonjo-Iweala, made the announcement at the close of the 23rd edition of the WEF in Cape Town, South Africa on Friday. Okonjo-Iweala thanked the WEF for choosing Nigeria as the next host, expressing the readiness of the country to make the next edition as exciting as possible. She said that the choice of Nigeria was appropriate given its position and huge economic potential. "I think we epitomise a lot of things about Africa. We have the excitement, the passion, the entrepreneurship, the private sector drive and the glow for the future. "But we also epitomise all of the difficult challenges of the continent such as infrastructure deficit, governance issues, corruption and transparency," she said. According to her, a combination of these opportunities and challenges in one country makes Nigeria the most exciting place to be on the continent. Okonjo-Iweala said that the future of Africa was bright, judging by the commitment and passion demonstrated by participants in the forum, especially the Young Global Leaders, who represented the youths of the continent. The Director General, Nigeria Economic Summit Group, Mr Frank Nweke Jnr, said thatNigeria was excited to be the host of the next WCF. He said that President Goodluck Jonathan had already mandated the team to organise a successful forum. |

One has underpinned Nigeria's economy for decades, providing about 80 per cent of the government's revenues. The other has held the country back, deterring investors while keeping millions of people in the dark and the rest sleeping to a soundtrack of noisy generators. Now, in 2013, it seems the petroleum and power sectors – the two main planks of the country's energy industry – may be swapping trajectories. After years of false starts and billions of dollars wasted on half-hearted attempts to solve Nigeria's massive power deficit, privatisation of electricity is well under way. Late last year, in a process that attracted interest from more than 400 domestic and foreign companies, the government approved $2.3bn worth of bids for 15 of the 17 state-owned generation and distribution groups. The winning consortiums have paid 25 per cent of the sale or concession costs and will take ownership later this year on payment ofthe balance. Meanwhile, Manitoba Hydro of Canada is managing the state transmission company. While there are bound to be hiccups, few doubt that power supply is headed in the right direction. Under the state-owned Power Holding Company of Nigeria, the country's peak power production is still barely more than 4,000MW. That compares poorly with South Africa, Nigeria's rival for the title of Africa's biggest economy, which produces 10 times more power for a population that is three times smaller. Atedo Peterside, who heads the technical committee of the government's National Council of Privatisation, believes the "tipping point" towards solving the country's power woes has passed and that the impact of the reforms will be "huge". If all goes well, not only will generation, transmission and distribution bebetter run, but also new independent powerplants will come on stream to meet the hugedemand for electricity. "If you have GDP that's been growing at 7 per cent already, imagine what it would be ifyou had reliable power," he says. Increased tariffs have been put in place to ensure that investors can make a return. In April, the World Bank provided a payment guarantee to Chevron for the provision of gas to the country's largest power plant and the government signed a separate deal for gas supply withExxonMobil. At the signing ceremony, President Goodluck Jonathan saidof power reform: "There is no turning back and ... no relenting." Other problems remain outstanding. In order to keep to the strict deadlines for privatisation, some winning bidders for the state power plants and distribution companies signed the purchase agreements without all the fine details being resolved. Some consortiums still need to raise debt financing to fund their purchases and to rehabilitate and expand the assets they are taking over. Source: http://ipaidabribenaija.com/news/item/22850 |

It might come to many as a surprise why RIM to roll out BBM on Android and iOS a few daysago. It was actually a smart business decision. RIM has previously restricted the BBM app to only Blackberry devices as a means of makingthe Blackberry phones more attractive to the prospective consumers, but this is not working as RIM has lost a lot of the market share to Android, iOS and even Windows. BBM is the most valuable product that RIM have as we speak, and it'll be bad for such a good app to go extinct due the struggling Blackberry sales figures. Competition from other messaging apps (such as Whatsapp ) might also be a major reason behind this move. From humble beginning in 2009, Whatsapp was handling ten billion messages per day as of August 2012, growing from two billion in April 2012 and one billion in October 2011. This tremendous growth experienced by Whatsapp was due to the fact that it was cross-platform i.e it works on all major platforms (Android, BB OS, iOS, Symbian S40, S60, Windows). Whatsapp is also seen as a cheaper alternative to text as was observed on the last day of 2012 when they processed 18 billion messages . Party crashers, Google and Facebook are also working on messaging app due for release anytime soon, so this is the best time for RIM to make the move. Another reason is the launch of BBM Channel. It's a new platform from RIM to will allow users subscribe to various channels and get updates from the subscribed channel...sounds like another name for twitter if you ask me. However, cross platform operation is key in order to achieve success and revenue from this new service. It seems RIM have got it all figured out, what better way to take on your competitor than on a level playing field. I expect the number ofactive BBM users and messages to increase, which might mark a turnarounf in the fortunes of RIM, however, I am skeptical about the success of the BBM channel. Interesting days ahead ***Sent from my BBM for Android*** __________________________________________________________________________ BBM Quick Facts: *. More than 60 million monthly active users *. More than 51 million daily active users who are connecting with friends or colleagues an average of one and a half hours every day. *. BBM users send and receive more than 10 billion messages each day , nearly twice as many messages per user per day as compared to other mobile messaging apps *. Almost half of BBM messages are read within 20 seconds of being received; indicating how truly engaged BBM customers are! Lazy boy!!! |

Executing Your Life Plan After knowing your destination and how to get there, you need to execute your plan. Here are some tips on executing your life plan: 1. Focus There is no question that focus is essential to achieve your goals. Without focus, you willspread your effort and attention too thin and eventually achieve nothing. Be careful though. You should be focused but not obsessed. 2. Be persistent You should be persistent because failure is inevitable on your way to success. Without persistence, it’s easy to get discouraged in the face of failure and stop before reaching your destination. Have faith and keep pushing forward. 3. Build relationships Nobody can succeed alone. You need the support of other people to succeed. So build your network before you need it. 4. Start now A good plan vigorously executed right now is far better than a perfect plan executed next week. George S. Patton Don’t wait until your plan is perfect before you start. Don’t wait for the perfect time. Start now. You will learn more by doing thanby waiting. The ultimate of all is to PRAY!!! |
To be successful in your life, you need to have a life plan. Without a plan, many of yourdreams will only be dreams. A life plan, on the other hand, will help you turn your dreams into reality. It works because it givesyou not a just a destination, but also a way to get there. A life plan doesn’t have to be complicated. It should answer just two questions: 1. What is your destination? 2. How will you get there? Let’s look at them one by one. What is Your Destination? You should know where you are going. Not knowing your destination is a mistake because you may end up in the wrong place. You need to know where you want to go so that you don’t waste your time and effort. Here are some tips related to finding your destination: 1. Create your life map To see how your life will be in the future, it’s helpful to see how your life has been in the past. By creating a life map, you can see patterns in your life that help you find out where you should go. Look backward, connect the dots in your life, and project them into the future. 2. Find your life purpose Your life purpose gives you meaning in everything you do. It helps you do what matters to you and makes your life fulfilling. Without a purpose, you may achieve much but feel empty inside. Take the time to find your purpose in life. 3. Discover your big dreams The size of your dreams has a lot to do with living in mediocrity. If your dreams are small, there is no reason for you to move past mediocrity. It’s easier to just live a comfortable life. On the other hand, if your dreams are big, you have to move past mediocrity to make your dreams come true. So discover the big dreams in you. 4. Make short-term goals You should know what your final destination is, but you should also have milestones along the way. These milestones help you stay on track. They help you know whether or not you are on the right path to reach your destination. You create the milestones by breaking your long-term goals into short-term ones. What do you want to achieve this year? What do you want to achieve this month? What do you want to achieve today? 5. Keep refining Knowing your destination is a process. If you are like me, you will refine your destination over time. It’s like zooming in a picture. At first you see the big picture, but after zooming it in you can see its details. Similarly, perhaps you can only see the big picture of your destination now. That’s fine. Follow it. Along the way, you will find clues that make the picture clearer. How Will You Get There? After knowing your destination, you need to know how to get there. Here are some tips related to it: 1. Find and communicate your personal brand To achieve your goals, you need to market yourself. You need to find the unique value you can provide to others and communicate it. This way people know that they can come to you to meet their needs. 2. Have some guiding principles There are a lot of distractions along the way to your destination. To prevent yourself frombeing distracted, you need to have some guiding principles. You need to identify the value you believe in. These principles help you stay true to yourself in everything you do. 3. Find your deliberate practice Doing deliberate practice is important if you want to be remarkable. Deliberate practice isthe kind of practice that stretches the boundaries of your capabilities. A good rule of thumb is you need about 10,000 hours ofdeliberate practice to become a world-class expert in a field. Find out where you should invest that 10,000 hours. 4. Use tacking strategy The world constantly changes so you need to constantly adapt. That’s why tacking – a term taken from the world of sailing – is a good strategy to apply. With tacking you set a short-term objective, work hard to achieve it, evaluate your performance, and adjust accordingly. |

You can't hold on to a person against their will. They have to be with you because they want to be. Sometimes a person has to feel freedom for awhile, but then they will look around and sayto themselves, "I had it much better with him/her and I miss him/her." Then they will be with you willing, and loving it, instead of feeling manipulated, if you had forced them to stay with you and not let themgo. If they never return it gives you a chance to start fresh with someone who will appreciate and love you for who you are. So let's move on guys! |
There was this robbery in town, the robber shouted to everyone: "All don't move, money belongs to the state, life belongs to you". Everyone in the bank laid down quietly. This is called "Mind Changing Concept --> Changing the conventional way of thinking". --------------- --------------- --------------- ---- One lady lay on the table provocatively, the robber shouted at her "Please be civilised! This is a robbery and not a rape!" This is called "Being Professional --> Focus only on what you are trained to do!" --------------- --------------- --------------- ---- When the robbers got back, the younger robber (diploma trained) told the older robber (who is only primary school educated),"Big bro, let's count how much we got", the older robber rebutted and said, "You very stupid, so much money, how to count, tonightTV will tell us how much we robbed from the bank!" This is called "Experience --> nowadays experience is more important than paper qualifications! " --------------- --------------- --------------- ---- After the robbers left, the bank manager told the bank supervisor to call the police quickly. The supervisor says "Wait, wait wait, let's put the Ksh 5 million we embezzled into the amount the robbers robbed". This is called "Swim with the tide --> converting an unfavorable situation to your advantage!" --------------- --------------- --------------- ---- The supervisor says "It will be good if there is a robbery every month". This is called "Killing Boredom --> Happiness is most important." --------------- --------------- --------------- ---- The next day, TV news reported that 100 million was taken from the bank. The robbers counted and counted and counted, but they could only count 20 million. The robbers were very angry and complained "We risked our lives and only took20 million RMB, the bank manager took 80 million with a snap of his fingers. It looks like it is better to be educated than to be a thief!" This is called "Knowledge is worth as much asgold !" --------------- --------------- --------------- ---- The bank manager was smiling and happy because his loss in the NSE shares are now covered by this robbery. This is called "Seizing the opportunity --> daring to take risks!" ![]() |
