1800bc: You should be thanking your car for reducing the speed... would you rather prefer u skid to a treeNot reducing the speed per se, The car just refuses to accelerate (fire) and somethime the engine revs go so low it trips off. So I have to park, steaming the engine for up to 20 minutes before I can move again |
Martini101: If u re passing through a pool of water, especially during rainfall,All check, but nowadays, in especially deeper pools I used to pass through without issues before, I get the above issues, in short it happened again n embarassed me last nyt after making my post |
umunnatim: I drive an EOD 2003 model, each time i pass through a deep pool of water the fire of the car drops to the lowest,do you think my Gearbox is bad?please i need help.I've been having the same issue with my 2007 Peugeot 307 since it stopped inside a flood few weeks back, Now when I pass through water, the car simply refuses to accelerate till I leave it to steam for a while.. Anyone with a solution? |
Neoviper147: Dear world,I was thinking normal suicide-commiters would do the deed and leave the note for someone else to find? When you're ready to die, you'd do it without alerting all nigerians, till then, get your butt off wherever you're Nairalanding from and make yourself useful to the society, its only a lazy person that would "look for work" for 3 years, after the first few months you should have started learning skills that would create work for others rather than look for who to blame for your failure |
y2kaustin: ..,how do you mean? You specified Lagos in a previous post, I mean if I have clients who are located in the south south area who are interested in your service and I want to get the equipment through you down here, Is that possible? |

Old News, I had Air-Conditioned classes and labs at my department in UNIPORT (Petroleum Engineering) years back. |
ebamma: me thinks this guys have sacrificed their mama for fame and fortuneI really wish I could bring myself to call you names.... But then, its not worth it. |

puskin: In this day and age when it seems like almost every week there is another “latest and greatest” technology gadget put out on the market, it can be enticing to jump in and pick one up for yourself.Sounds like that thread about what broke people say... Just saying |
17k in 2012? That's totally unfair if u ask me. I pay minimum of 20k and that's to unskilled staff not someone with your qualifications, For those saying 17,000 (600 naira a day) would add up to your capital, have they taught of how much more you can improve your business with the time you would free up? Go in full time, Make your money, and invest/diversify, that salary is pure slavery In my opinion |
Where are the loosers that always say every rich person is a Politician or close to a Politician? |
Onunu (Pounded Ripe plantain mixed with yam) and Native fish stew!! I loooooove it |
spicy v: Is your business still at the teething stage or you have people reporting to you? If not I believe you would want to grow to the point θf having employees. Then pay attention to whats been shared on this thread so you will not be under the category θf the bosses mentioned on this thread.I've a couple of people on my payroll with 3 reporting directly to me & I'm yet to see myself in these posts, maybe I'm doing something wrong? ![]() spicy v: Is your business still at the teething stage or you have people reporting to you? can't count, started with an alcatel around the time gsm was launched before switching to an ericsson t20s, then white nokia 3330, then siemens all within the first year, I'm sort of a phone freak and I get tired of phones quickly so I run through them really fast. |
yomifowe: The particular business I just talked about is Bulk SMS Wholesaling, I own some of the biggest bulk sms websites in Nigeria. And the first started with just a domain name at N2000 years ago.Let's stick to the topic, send a pm I would reply you. Cheers. |
Diamond112: Hi,this is my first time on nl.just find this topic so interestin and tempting.am a graduate and i know about sewing of quilts and little of curtains,my problem with business isdeptors and am d shy type that wil wait till u com to pay my mony. I really lov to go into busnss but am scared.some of my friends will tell me dat its better i get a job where i wil be receivin salary than doin busnss.pls guys i need ur advis. Are the friends advising you successful? Are they people you aspire to be like? You have a very extremely marketable skill, look for a "gingered" person to partner with to do marketing while you focus on manufacturing, then a strict no credit policy should take care of your fears. |
jefumare: I have been reading some articles and books online and i'm yet to be convinced that entrepreneurship is the sure way out. Not everyone is going to be a CEO, so i think if we all play to our strengths, then, we'll ultimately succeed. I stumbed on [http://www.ventures-africa.com/category/entrepreneurs/diary-of-an-under-30-ceo/]Diary of an Under 30 CEO[http://www.ventures-africa.com/category/entrepreneurs/diary-of-an-under-30-ceo/] and its quite a good read as well. Its not the sure way out, there are a lot of factors that come to play before anyone can succeed in business and no, not everyone is going to be a CEO, CEO's need people to employ ![]() |
bukkytroni: Can someone please enlighten me on why Banking is like 'lost in the wilderness' kind of experience. Candidly, I have applied to banks and none have ever considered to even get back to me. Not funny though, especially in those years of desperacy to get just anything. I see most people quit banking to DO THEIR OWN THING which they eventually succeed in. What is the monster in the bank that we not-so-fortunates and most desperados cant see yet will do anything to get inside?Bankers or ex-bankers would be in the best position to explain. Sometime last year, my Account Officer in GTB here who helped in opening my first corporate account when I was just an undergraduate actually called to ask what business I'm into as he was tired of the job & was planning to resign. He's still there though, I guess they believe the reward for the effort expended isn't enough. |
