Finally, the Marshall-McDaniels saga goes 360. Josh decides to show everyone that he is from the BB coaching tree by dropping Brandon for the must win game against the Chief, and more or less, call to question Brandon's commitment and integrity. Brandon is the best player in Denver and the management will be stupid to trade him before firing the coach. |
nanachi:Its difficult to explain CDMA in detail in a single post. You can read the wiki article for a brief overview http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CDMA Rake receiver is a collection of receivers which are each aimed at a 'multipath' component and the output of the receivers are combined to form a superior output. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rake_receiver |
E ku odun, e ku iye'dun, odun titun yii a y'abo fun gbogbo wa. Iwo yi emi, a tun parapo wa yo ni. |
sbm4real:Nothing is of much use if all we have is people making claims and counter claims. I have not asked anyone to post their personal details, but simply suggested ways to make the thread more informative and less argumentative. Personally, I am not interested in which is the best paying company in Nigeria as I have no intention of being on anyone's payroll. As for Oil & Gas, been there, done that, and moved on to greater things. |
Santa Cruz has been terrible. His substitution killed Citeh's attack in games they could have won. His only excuse was lack of match fitness coming from a prolonged injury. Adebayo has scored 6 goals in 13 games and only Tevez (who has made 18 starts + 2 subs) has scored more. He would have scored more goals if SWP and the rest werent so poor in delivering the ball into the box. Citeh have not played to Adebayors aerial threat. Toure has been the best Citeh defender. Lescott has been terrible for such an expensive signing (makes one wonder why sell Dunne), and I wont be surprised if he loses his spot under Mancini |
Ebonyeyes:A different take 1. Steam the chicken + onions + (dried pepper or any other spices you want to add) till the chicken is cooked and no longer pink. Can add a little water if the chicken doesn't secrete enough broth. Option 1 (results in more like a fried stew) . 2. Withdraw the chicken and drain the broth into a bowl, 3. Heat small oil and fry the chicken briefly/sparingly. 4. Using the oil from frying the chicken (not necessarily all, might be better to start with a smaller qty and add later if needed) add the tomato and pepper. If the pepper and tomato are blend separate, add the pepper first to the oil, and let it cook/fry a bit before adding the tomato (as the tomato is more tender). 5. Add broth back and cook on low heat. 6. Add chicken back and continue on low heat for a few mins Option 2 (results in a more traditional soup). 2. If you prefer the chicken to be firm, and are worried about over cooking it, withdraw the chicken 3. Add tomato and pepper to the broth. If the pepper and tomato are blend separate, add the pepper first to the broth. let it cook a bit before adding the tomato. 4. Add oil as desired and cook on low heat. |
The only wasted money are Lescott and Santa Cruz (cos of his injuries). Toure and Adebayor have played very well. |
JeSoul:I will patiently await delivery. Hopefully my wait will not be in vain. Nice video, though I 'm more into For Sale |
What we have gotten so far are some pseudorandom figures Debosky: US graduate shell 650K. what is the level of quals (Bsc, MS,PhD)? Southsea: graduate position 400k per month. which company? Crowcedar: Shell 500k after tax, 700k with allowances Tunene: Shell 440K per month, and 1. 2m in allowances None of them corroborates the other. ![]() The first thing is to be clear on what you are referring to as an entry level position e.g, is it for a fresh bachelors student or includes masters and PhD? or Is it the lowest job on the ladder in that department (which does not mean the requirement is a bachelors)? As far as I know, like any other company, salary varies across department in the oil companies. I doubt a guy in procurement earns the same as an engineer on a platform. Specifying the job position will lessen the debate. Given that some companies pay basic + lumped allowances while some pay a consolidated salary, a better comparison would be the annual income. One should also exclude figures that are amortized over several years (like car loans, generator allowance etc). Example of what I feel would be a useful post (note: data is hypothetical) Company: Mobil Location: Nigeria Job Poition/Title: Reservoir Engineer I Qualifications: MS Experience: 0yrs (fresh graduate) Annual Package (pre tax): NGN 5m Annual Package (after tax): NGN 3.75m Again, this thread is not helpful if we are more concerned about who is right or wrong. It should be about providing info to help others. |
There are few things more harmful than someone who refuses to admit his errors and learn from it. Here are a notable few from this season: 1. Bill Polian and his philosophy of resting players before the playoffs. It has never worked in the past, and there nothing to suggest it will this season. He denied his team what was possibly their only accolade this season, as they will likely fail to win the Superbowl. The players worked for 14-0, Polian and Caldwell simply threw it away. The stubborn old man is simply set in his ways. 2. Adrian Peterson is one of the best RBs in the game, but also one of the worst at fumbling the ball. He has failed to admit that he has a problem (claiming he dropped balls when defenders gang tackled him and stripped it 3. Bill Belichick is a brilliant mind, but like most of his kind, has ego problems, and finds it difficult to admit it when he is wrong. This has fueled is blind obsession with going for it on 4th downs, a move that has cost his team two games this season and has left his team with a cross country tour if the are to get into the Superbowl. Not looking good, given that they havent been impressive on the road this season. 4. Steelers amd their superbowl hangover woes. In 2005, when the Steelers won the Superbowl, the failed to qualify for the playoffs the next season. They are about to repeat it again. Despite Tomlin's promise of hell, losing teams like Oakland found it almost heavenly to play against the Steelers. 5. Last season the Broncos suffered a late season collapse to miss the playoffs, going from 8-5 to 8-8, which led to the firing of Shanahan. In comes a new coach in McDaniels and they start 6-0, but guess what? they are 8-7 (losing 7 of their last 9) and are likely to miss out on the playoffs yet again. |
@J'Soul Merry Xmas in arrears, even though me sef no too merry as I still dey wait for my bball invite ![]() |
tunene:The point wasnt about if I had a different expectation. Everybody has been quoting varying figures. I just dont see the benefit of one person giving a figure, only for another to just simply dispute it. A bit more credibility will be added if you can state the job position/title and company, along with the remuneration. Scanned payslips or letters (with personal or incriminating evidence hidden) would also help. I dont see the harm in sharing this information, as it wouldnt take anything away from the source, and can only help another in planning his/her career. |
A good food flask is thermally insulated, and thus will ideally keep its contents at their original temperature, which means the fridge will be ineffective. If the food was warm/hot when placed in the flask, it will likely go bad even though it is in the fridge. |
Mancini should be able to solve the defensive problems, and seems to have the right kind of mentality and ambitions. A good run in the second half of the season should see them secure the desired top 4 finish |
Candy9:dobale in yoruba means to prostrate, which is an act of respect when a male is greeting one who much older than him (or a king). Females are expected to kneel down. |
tunene:seems you missed the part I said personal info hidden? ![]() For someone that feels they don't need to convince anyone, you sure have made a few posts trying to do so, and showed +ve interest when someone seem to have supported your position. Everyone making disputable claims doesnt serve any +ve purpose. Elements that add credibility to posts would go a long way. As to the remuneration in oil & gas, most of the companies use hay's method (or its variations), which means your salary is dependent more on your job description and less on your years of experience |
A simple scanned payslip (with personal info hidden) would put the whole issue to rest. ![]() |
@OP Always begin with the end in mind. There is no silver bullet for career success, nor is their a sure bet template for planning your life. Rather I would recommend that you visualize where you want to be in 10-20yrs and then work backwards. Where you want to be is what should determine which path to take. MSc vs marriage, telcoms vs IT, work experience vs certification, are all neither here no there, and the verdict will always depend on the specifics of your situation. |
Stats is not superstition. How many top seeds have gone to the SB in the past? Tennessee and Giants in 2008, Dallas in 2007, San Diego in 2006, and Indy in 2005, that is 5 out of 8 were one-and done despite being top in their conference. There is something to be said against keeping your powder dry in the NFL. Thinking you can simply switch it on at will hasnt worked for most teams in the past. |
We didnt roar into the playoffs last season. -In 2008, Manning was pulled from the last game after 7 pass completions just to get him to 4k yds and Sorgi played the rest. Come playoffs, we failed to beat an 8-8 team that we had beaten in the regular season. - Same happened in the 2007 season, manning was pulled in the last game, and we got beaten in the playoffs by an injury ridden chargers led by their backup QB. ![]() - In 2006, manning played out the season, and we went on to win the SB. - In 2005, manning pulled, one and done in the playoffs. Its less about the win, but the team maintaining that killer instinct and rhythm. The only hope is for them to get the weakest team possible in the playoffs and hope they can shake of the rust in a single post season game. |
ladysex:Correct word is opatz ( from 'off point' = OPT = opata = optaz) |
Injury to manning? #18 has never missed a single game due to injury. Sitting players out of fear of injuries is silly. The probability of peyton being injured in the last two regular season game is no less than the probability of him being injured on the first snap of the playoff game, and if that was his fear, why play him against jacksonville and half of the game against the jets? There is no evidence that resting starters have benefited the colts in the past. In fact, a case can be made for the opposite. The colts offense thrives on timing and precision; you want them going into the playoffs at their cutting egde best. A colts team that has been so dominant in the regular season and so woeful in the playoff, would be expected to try a new approach to the post season. An opportunity to be 16-0 should simply be an additional incentive. Pulling your starters in a game you were losing is one thing, losing cos you pulled your starters is another. The Colts simply threw the game and I am ashamed of it. The Jets did not earn it, and it is unfair on other teams who are in the hunt for a wild card spot. Why did they not do the same against the jags, since it also was a meaningless game. I am getting suspicious of their intent to help the Jets into the post season at the expense of veteran teams like the steelers and ravens. Worse still, you had the poor backup QB being booed by the fans. It was just unfair to subject the boy to such. Based on today, it would be pointless to play the starters against the bills and thus they have simply shut down for almost a month a team that feeds on rythmn. Come January, we are looking at another one-and-done playoff (and how ironic it would be if its the Jets that knock us out ). |
14-1 because of a stupid withdrawal of starters, and subjecting a young QB to boos. Polian is a stubborn and senile old fool. ![]() |
Polian and Caldwell have shown their stupidity again by withdrawing the regulars. They are going to lose the last 2 games of the season and will be one and done in the playoffs again. Cant understand why some people find it hard to learn from their mistakes. What have the Colts gotten from resting Manning and co in the past. ![]() |
Bucs beat Saints 20-17 in OT after being down 17-0 in the 2nd qtr The Steelers win 23-20 and keep their playoff hopes alive. A-40, u need to fast this week o ! ![]() Houston beat Miami 27-20 and put themselves into firm contention for a wild card spot |
Bucs take saints into OT and have the ball |
Seems like the playoffs entries could be more or less settled this weekend. Some 4th qtr scores Texans 27-17 Dolphins, and the wild cat has been tamed but they are trying to make a game of it from 24-0 ![]() Panthers 41-9 Giants, and Carolina are on their way to claiming another ![]() Jaguars 7 - 35 Pats, and at last an end to the self delusion. ![]() Ravens 20-20 Steelers; this is D Game. Raven are killing themselves with penalties ![]() |

I think the problem in somewhere like the US is that black men and women are not raised to be compatible; black men are not raised to be the kind of husband black women are raised to want, and black women are not are not raised to be the kind of wives black men are raised to desire. I see black ladies being raised to be independent and successful, while black men are raised to avoid such women, saying they would be poor wives (i.e. put their careers ahead of the family, be uncooperative etc). Black men are rarely raised to be monogamous, or sexually disciplined (have never seen or heard of a black man being castigated for his indiscretion) while black women are told (and rightly so) to stay away from such men. Add the fact that the average black woman will rarely make the first move in a relationship (and might even be playing hard to get) when she is in a society that includes females of other cultural background that are more willing to on the offensive, the prospect becomes bleak. |
Its less about the mode of communication, but more about the people involved in the relationship. ![]() |
That would be a glorified secondary school. |
ElRazur:and what was the topic of debate? ![]() Look you appear to have a mission, I aint got time for your non-sense. So far, I haven't attacked anyone on the basis of their religion, in fact, I have defended Islam in my post in the thread.and Sharia has nothing to do with Islam? ![]() A person who commits a crime is a criminal. . .Anyone who commits an act of terror is a terrorist. Surely, it aint hard to understand?Do you have any prove that it was an act of terrorism and not an accident? ![]() Let the facts be available, before crucifying the guy or anyone else.
