I am a graduate residing in Lagos. I read Business Administration and I secured a job in one of the advertising companies in Lagos as a purchasing officer. I have decided to upgrade myself in this field and resolved to take up a professional exam in purchasing and supply management.
If you have any idea on the location of CHARTERED INSTITUTE OF PURCHASING AND SUPPLY MANAGEMENT (CIPSM) office in lagos and other relevant and useful information about the institute and the exam or any advice, please respond. I had tried to search for it online but could not find their address.

i once found myself in this situation. i just asked my friend even b4 we reached the car to sit at the back and he willingly accepted because he knew if i were in his shoes i would do the same thing. even if he did not ask me to take the back seat i will ask his girlfriend (be it to marry girl or , ) to occupy the front seat.

a friend (FBN family) said that entry level pay was 1.7m per annum. after this year's review, the pay was increased to 2.7m effect from january 2008.

A paint factory situated close to Budapest in AUSTRIA HUNGARY, has staff strength of 386 with 355 able men and 31 females in the organization.

The personnel department got to know about their deeply romantic relationship and based on performance concerns advised Sebastian to resign from the organization while Caroline was transferred to the logistics department. She was heart-broken and did not come to work for three days breaking the policy of absenteeism after a short while her performance began to drop significantly and her new line manager had to issue performance caution letter.

What is wrong in having affection in the workplace? Was the decision of the personnel department right, just or fair? Now Sebastian is filing for a law suit to challenge the decision of management and Caroline’s creative strength seems to have disappeared over the last 5 months.

this is to appreciate everbody that has in one way or the other advised my friend on this issue. He finally met with his GM and explained everythin to him. the Gm said that was not an issue in as much as he came to tell him b4 it was too late and he has been showing a lot of confidence on the job. He even advised him that whenever he is having any issue bordering him, he should not hesitate to bring it to his notice.

So, I thank everybody so much for their contributions.

He has an immediate boss who happens to be a Yoruba man. the man has been working with the GM for more than a year now, he told the man but the man did not see anything wrong in it. The man was there at the final interview session with the GM and the factory manager (both of which are Indians), when this guy told him about the issue, he said he knew he(GM) made mistake when he was introducing the guy to them because they all read his CV. Meanwhile, the guy did not notice it.

Now that this forum has offered their invaluable piece of advice, the final conclusion will be posted to this forum.

long courtship is not good. at times when the to be couple are together I mean when there is no distance btween them some still succeed despite the long time of courtship, but if there is distance, it very bad.

He was invited for an interview along side other ten candidates, after the fourth interview of which he met the GM on two occasions, he was finally selected as purchasing officer. On resumption, during his induction, he was to be inducted by the GM and he(GM) told him he was selected because he has engineering background meanwhile the guy read Business Administration. This GM repeats this statement on several occasions. There was an issue sometimes back he said "That was the reason why I told the HR that I need somebody with Engineering background" and he(GM) has been given him(the guy) engineering jobs to do which he has been avoiding.

The issue now is this, should he tell him he does not have any engineering idea or he should keep quiet since he(GM) received and checked his CV before the final selection.

Please, he needs your advice

hello fellow nairalander, I went for their test sometimes in June. my friends wrote the same test last year. from the experience the test is not all that hard but it`s as if they are only organising the test for doing sake becausev I and 2 of my friends reached the final stage of their interview in fact one of us went for medical test at last he was rejected without any record of any ailment.
well I wish you good luck shaaaaaa. Just prepare youself as if you are going for a normal test
