The Chairman, Daar Communications, Dr Raymond Dokpesi; Senator Bala Mohammed and Ambassador Bello Mohammed have dragged President Muhammadu Buhari and the Attorney General of the Federation, before a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos.


The men are challenging the constitutionality of Executive Order No 6 of 2018.

Daar Communication Chairman, and others in the suit, are demanding the court to declare that the Presidential Order 6 issued by the President unlawful.

They want the law to be declared null and void and of no effect whatsoever, having regard to the fact that the said order constitutes an attempt by the president to exercise to the detriment of the plaintiffs’ judicial and legislative powers not vested in him by the constitution.

They are also praying the court for an order nullifying the the Presidential Executive Order on the ground that it scandalizes the plaintiffs by stigmatizing them as corrupt and labelling their assets as proceeds of corruption liable to forfeiture.

They are further demanding for an order of the court nullifying the Presidential Executive Order no 6 of 2018, on the ground that it constitutes a violation of the rule against self-help and that the president purports to take action detrimental to the plaintiffs in respect of assets subject to pending litigation between the Government and the plaintiffs.

This is really sad. The death of a gallant identified as Chinedu Alozie, with army number :13NA/70/9656, has just been announced. The deceased hails from Obingwa Local Government Area in Abia state.

He was first stationed at Ojo Cantonment Barracks in Lagos before he was later posted to Army band headquarters, Abalti Barracks Music School Ojuelegba.

Until his death, the deceased was not just an instrumentalist but also a praise and worship song leader in his church before his posting to Maiduguri, as the military are said to be running short of personnel in the battle front against Boko Haram.

He was killed by Boko Haram on last month after an attack on their base, while on duty in Maiduguri.

He is survived by wife, a lovely daughter and a three months old son.

President Buhari has vowed to ensure that all appointments in his administration is distributed equitably among the 36 states of the federation.

President Buhari who has been accused repeatedly of lopsided appointment since the beginning of his administration, made the promise when he spoke with a delegation of Akwa Ibom state elders in the state house Abuja yesterday September 17th.

“I have taken note of your appreciation of appointments into the Federal Service from your state. I assure you that I shall continue to be fair and equitable in federal appointments to all states of the country,” Buhari told the delegation
Last week, Nigerians on social media accused President Buhari of nepotism and tribalism after the removal of the acting DG of DSS Matthew Seiyefa and the appointment of the new DG of DSS Yusf Magaji Bichi.

He has also been accused of napotism after the recent appointment of Zainab Ahmed, as the acting Minister of Finance, following Kemi Adeosun's resignation.
