PoliticsKwara Must Change Regrets Postponement Of Saraki's expiry date by bilms(op):
Kwara Must Change regrets postponement of Saraki's expiry date

Leading Pro-democracy group in Kwara, Kwara Must Change said it regretted the sudden postponement of the 2019 general election, scheduled for 16th February, 2019.

In a statement by the state coordinator, Comrade Yusuf Olatunji on Saturday, the group said the people of Kwara have patiently waited for February 16th to end the destructive Saraki dynasty by using their votes to say #otoge.

According to Kwara Must Change, Kwarans from all across Nigeria and the world trooped into the state to be part of the historic event to send Saraki parking and it said that the election postponement is temporary set back.

While it maintained that there's no escape root for Saraki in this election, as even unborn babies still in their mother's womb are chanting otoge with excitement, it noted that the people of Kwara who have been waiting patiently and those who came from far and wide are somehow disappointed, but not repenting.

Kwara Must Change therefore call on INEC to fix all identified anormally and ensure a free, fair and credible election next Saturday.
It also appealed to all Kwarans to remain peaceful ahead of next Saturday and urge them to remain committed to joint course of Kwara liberation.

COMMUNIQUE OF THE SELECTION PROCESS OF THE CONSENSUS PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE OF THE THIRD FORCE IN NIGERIA CONDUCTED BY ADD

Friday, 15th February 2019

ADD, Third Force Coalition adopts Olawepo Hashim as Consensus Presidential Candidate for 2019..... asks Nigerians to vote the pyramid symbol of PT in Saturday's elections

Following months of consultations dilly dally and rigmarole, the process of picking a consensus Presidential flagbearer among new breed Presidential hopefuls of the political third force for the 2019 elections climaxed today in Nigeria as over seven million Nigerians mostly youths and women among others voted to pick a consensus Presidential Candidate

At the end of voting on Thursday the poll Moderator and Spokesperson of Alliance for Defence of Democracy ADD, organisers of the third force primary polls declared Gbenga Olawepo Hashim, Presidential Candidate of an emergent mega party, the People's Trust PT as the Consensus Presidential flagbearer for the freshbreed, third political force to slug it out in Saturday's elections with President Muhammadu Buhari of the APC and Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar in Saturday  Presidential elections

The polls conducted online by Alliance for Defence of Democracy ADD, a newly launched advocacy Coalition of third force stakeholders in the country witnessed an unprecedented seven million, five hundred and thirty nine (7,539,000) votes from freshbreed elements between age 18 and 45  who want a political ideological paradigm shift in the governance of Nigeria. ADD wish to announce

In a somewhat innovative fashion, Voters were requested to choose three Presidential candidates from among five already shortlisted contenders namely; Donald Duke of SDP, Kingsley Moghalu of YPP, Fela Durotoye of ANN, Omoyele Sowore of AAC and Olawepo Hashim of PT who eventually clinched the consensus presidential ticket of the third force to lead the third force against the presidential flagbearers of the APC and PDP in Saturday's general elections

The results of the polls announced this morning by the the Spokesperson of the Tactical Selection Council, Prof Anthony kila, who is also the Director of Centre for International and Advance Studies CIAPS shows that Nigerians, who participated in the polls from across the globe, voted for the winner Olawepo Hashim in five million, seven hundred and thirty five times (5,735,000), while his runner up, Sowore Omoyele of the AAC received two million, three hundred and forty two votes (2,342,000). Former Governor of Cross Rivers State, Donald Duke of SDP pulled two million, three hundred and ten (2,310,000) votes to come third, while Kingsley Moghalu of YPP recently endorsed by literary giant, Prof Wole Soyinka came fourth with one million nine hundred and fifty (1,950,000) votes and Fela Durotoye of ANN coming a gallant fifth with one million, five hundred and seventy (1,570,000) votes

In view of the outcome of Selection exercise of the third force stakeholders, the organisers according to Kila are elated that Nigerians could still show overwhelming faith and confidence in the freshbreed, third force consensus process despite an eleventh hour effort. He however said despite the results of the polls, other candidates are not put under any compulsion to drop out of Saturday Presidential race as that is not possible legally anymore given INEC guidelines but a formidable collaborative effort to safeguard and defend third force votes and mandate in the 2019 elections for all the freshbreed presidential candidates who was enlisted in seventy two hours contest

"As champions of the third force agenda for ideological shift in Nigerian political culture, we have also set up this historic feat to produce a formidable nationwide synergy of freshbreed elections Vigilantes from coalescing parties to collaborate to prevent the two dominant parties in the country from riding rough shod on the 2019 elections in terms of brazen manipulations or vote buying during the 2019 polls and as agreed, the arrowhead of that electoral synergy will be the Consensus Presidential Candidate of the third force, Olawepo Hashim of the People's Trust PT, a party which has now become the Coalition party of the third force for the 2019 elections

Kila also said by the historic consensus arrangement of the third force movement, the winner has become first among equals and shall be expected to form a coalition government of National unity and reconciliation to return Nigeria on the path of stability and economic prosperity

The Alliance for Defence of Democracy ADD according Kila will be opening  its situation room for the 2019 elections today from where the coalition will monitor election progress and also give instructions to its elections Vigilantes to curb all forms of rigging from APC and PDP in the 2019 elections

Olawepo-Hashim claims lead on social media over Buhari, Atiku

Presidential Candidate of the People’s Trust (PT) Mr. Gbenga Olawepo- Hashim, has maintained the lead as most popular candidate online.

The weekly social media rating of presidential candidates’ engagements on the popular online platform, Facebook, on Tuesday showed he is still leading as the most popular Presidential candidate online, three days to the 2019 Presidential election.

The latest data collected by an Abuja- based research outfit, Grandplan, showed Olawepo- Hashim was ahead of President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

The PT candidate, who first overtook President Buhari and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on 10th December 2018, has remained on top with the highest engagements on social media consecutively ever since.

Going by the data on Tuesday, February 12th, 2019 in Abuja, Olawepo-Hashim recorded Facebook engagements in excess of 63,000 this week while Atiku Abubakar who came behind him, recorded 56,000+.

Buhari is far behind with only 6000+ engagements.

The statistics also showed presidential candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) Kingsley Moghalu; Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN) Fela Durotoye and others were trailing behind.

Data analysts involved in the polling project said the data on each of the candidates’ were realistic because “Facebook represents the broad spectrum of voters who will vote in the February poll.”

According to them: “Increasing engagements imply voters’ growing interest in the candidates while a decreasing result reflects voters’ disenchantment.

“A static return means a candidate is at a crossroads in the campaign.”

The analysts said in their report that Olawepo-Hashim’s growing engagement rating is a measure of voters’ interest in him as a third force alternative.

“He is no longer part of the pack of third-party candidates. He has moved ahead to emerge as a real alternative to both Buhari and Atiku. This is a game changer from data perspective,” according to Segun Seriki, the lead analyst for the project.

“The latest data point to a major upset within the struggle for Nigeria’s presidency, we are making the report available to all the major candidates.

“Our latest data reflect a major upset in the battle for the Presidency. It is no longer a two- horse race. There is now a third

force that is overtaking the old alternatives.

“We are still following the data but for now, Olawepo-Hashim has pulled the impossible to maintain an eight weeks lead over President Buhari and Atiku Abubakar,” he said
