Computers / Re: Global Mobile Internet Service by Bilspop(m): 1:21am On Dec 04, 2005
With little enlightenment, many people will hav interest in this, because it brings the globe on their fingertips. I think Glo has a service like that, though thats costly. I also think when Glo is through with its current fixed wireless project, such service might be rolled out. But all the same, may be we should wait till Nigeria launches its communication satellite, with that, such project might be easy
Webmasters / Re: Naijatech.com - New Tech Website by Bilspop(m): 12:54am On Dec 04, 2005
I cant see the address to this site you are talking about. All my fellows have spoken well. Olutoyin, tell the guy that tough times dont last but tough people do. I also volunteer to be a writer for the site
Phones / Re: Comparing Vmobile, MTN, Glo and MTEL GPRS Browsing by Bilspop(m): 2:29pm On Sep 29, 2005
I actually agree with you because i have used all the three networks you mentioned to surf the internet. Vmobile has the fastest, but Glo is more reliable as Vmobile sometimes fumbles. One other thing, have you been able to use the Vactive very well? I have not been able to use any of the menu at the Vmobile wapsite. I only use their GPRS to go to other sites.
Phones / Re: It Pays to Register for MTN4U by Bilspop(m): 7:15pm On Sep 07, 2005
I can tell it sure pays but only for those that are able to recharge their account as often as possible. I have redeemed over N4000 to my phone account through it, but i'm sure it only pays for those that recharge often

Politics / Re: The Glue That Holds Nigeria Together by Bilspop(m): 9:32pm On Sep 02, 2005
My people, it's God that is still glueing the country together. Despite various crisis, we still remain. Omo, I think it's God handiwork. I care a lot about this country but I'm as helpless as most Nigerians are.
Politics / Re: Mike Adenuga Buries Mum at Ijebu-Igbo, in Grand Style by Bilspop(m): 9:16pm On Sep 02, 2005
Oga, tommorow na d burial. I'm not talking of free calls for all. Glo kiosks are placed at ijebu igbo and anybody can walk in and call anywhere for free. Too much pple anyway, so one has to struggle to use the phone

Adenuga Buries Mum in Grand Style

The popularly known Chief Adenuga, the CEO of GloMobile will be giving his mama a final burial ceremony tommorow, saturday 3rd sept. I guess you all hav to see how the town of Ijebu Igbo in ogun state was brought to live today, friday - free call to anywhere, food for all indegenes etc.

He has invited the students to come tommorow. I will try and be there as I'm a student in the area. I just want you all to know that there's much money than needed in this country. I've got to iron my clothes because NEPA might mess up. Later!

Politics / Re: Anambra: Governor Ngige Asked to Leave Office by Bilspop(m): 1:58pm On Aug 14, 2005
Anyway, let's wait and see what will come out of the journey to the appeal court. But my mind tells me the justice of the tribunal was right.

Infact, Peter Obi, the acclaimed winner of the election as said that he is sure he would win the case against Ngige at the appeal court and even if the case is taken to Baba God's court, he'll still emerge a winner. Anyway, that's nothing to go by. Let's just wait and see.

I know if this is true justice, no sleep have been murdered, but the people of the state will start to see the dividends of democracy.
Career / Re: "Why I Hate Globacom" by Olabisi by Bilspop(m): 11:39pm On Aug 12, 2005
It's a pity, really. Glo has been trying if i may say. The company has been trying to roll our customer's friendly dertvice. Though, the network experience some difficulties but how true are those thisngs Olabisi said?

I just know that Glo experience network problem. Anyway, i'm not surprised at that because you all have to know the amount donated by Adenuga at the Fund raising for the Presidential Library in Abeokuta sometimes this year. The money he ought to have used to upgrade his site and give us better services. Maybe he knows what he's doing. Who would not like to be the President boy

How did he/she (olabisi) get those facts? Is he/she a sacked (or retired) worker of the company? Maybe the author should get us this facts.
Politics / Anambra: Governor Ngige Asked to Leave Office by Bilspop(m): 11:07pm On Aug 12, 2005
I hope you all have heard the news. No? Havent you heard that Gov. Ngige of Anambra state is to leave office in the next 20 days? The Electroral Tribunal sitting in Anambra has finally made us to know that the result of the 2003 election provided by INEC is a total fraud and the power has to be shifted to the ANPP candidate in the election.

I'm very delighted that a fair judgement is being passed in Nigeria right now. The people of Anambra will be free from Political trauma they have been experiencing. It's a new dawn in the Nigerian politics and we are all delighted we are facing the truth.

Hey people! Do you think the judgement was right? Anyone against the verdict of the tribunal? Lets share our views on this issue.
Romance / Re: What Do Girls Want? by Bilspop(m): 1:48pm On Aug 12, 2005
I'm still getting you all. Girls sha (anyway). I can see that each girl is different.

For your question, Chigszy, I'm 20. Or is it not proper to have a girl at this age? I've not got time for girls b4 but i think i'm ready
Romance / What Do Girls Want? by Bilspop(m): 2:09pm On Aug 10, 2005
In the world of experience, i want everyone to speak. I want everyone to speak in the spirit of fareness. What do you girls really want in a guy? What are the qualities you look for to say "Yes" to the guy? Money? Handsome? What else?

Just share your prerequisites with me. I wish to know more of girls before proceeding with a relationship. Thanks

Phones / MTEL: What's wrong? by Bilspop(m): 11:12am On Aug 09, 2005
Do we have an Mtel User in the house? Or have we all negelet Mtel as one of our service providers, because i dont think i have had anything about MTEL lately.

What is really wrong with the company. I know they are experiencing some managerial problems but i dont think that should affect their services. MTEL has not really been up to the task.

I really pity the company but i think it's all the Nigerian factor that is affecting them. If the federal government is ready to raise the company today, it will be raised by midnight
Phones / Customer Services of our GSM Operators by Bilspop(m): 11:03am On Aug 09, 2005
I just think we need to discuss the state of the services of our GSM operators. If we have to conpare the services we get here in Nigeria with the services of other countries, we can see that we are really paying more than we get.

For instance, if anybody has the time to visit the website of MTN Sounth Africa and see the customer services MTN renders in South Africa. Meanwhile, we pay here more than they do. Just look at the their South African site and compare it to the Nigerian site, you'll see some elements of better work there.

How about others? All they know is taking money from the customer. If a Glo user is in Abeokuta at night, which i don't know if it happens elsewhere, the user will hate Glo for their services. It's always a "No Service" situation every night.

Can anybody said he's satisfy with the tarrif of our operators? I know it wont be a happy situation when you pay for uncompleted call (which you did not get through at all).

What can we do? I think we the youths should let the NCC knows our mind that we are not O.K we the services of our operators.
Phones / Re: Vmobile GPRS by Bilspop(m): 10:47am On Aug 09, 2005
This is really good if Vmobile can roll out the GPRS. The CSD has been a money-removal. It cuts off money as if i'm a "Senator". I think GPRS will be better and more affordable as we can experience in Glo.

For the meaning of GPRS, it is General Packet Radio Service; it is a mobile data servive available to GSM Mobile Phones. It provides moderate speed data transfer, and therefore can be used to surf the web.
Politics / Election 2007 May Be Violent; I'm Afraid by Bilspop(m): 11:53am On Aug 08, 2005
MY FEARS FOR 2007

Anybody that had a chat with me concerning politics will know that I fear a lot for the coming Election 2007. Maybe I will checkout to Benin and come back after the election, but I think its my responsibility to cast a vote in Nigeria.

I was damn surprised about the latest development in Ogun state. The governor organizing thugs to disrupt the peaceful community of Abeokuta, just to put fear in the other man (don't say I told you o because no media reported it, only Abeokuta people experienced it).

I just pray we have it nice that year. I fear too much. What is your view, people?
Phones / Usefulness of Glo Magic Plus (Globacom) by Bilspop(m): 1:32pm On Aug 05, 2005
Hello all,

Can anybody please explain to me what Glo is doing with the MagicPlus? I'm fed of mistakenly pressing the key to select "Magic Plus". Each time I try to use the service, I get no response and my account could be reduced from about 400 naira to 5 naira. Can somebody imagine that, paying for a service not rendered?

Has anybody tried to use the Magic Plus and record succes? Maybe I will say I was able to check my horoscope for once and I lost about 200 naira in the process.

Can somebody please explain to me what Glo is up to about this Magis Plus, which I've termed "Magic Money Minus"?

It's Nice Being Here

Hello People,

After going through a lot of posts submitted by you, I decided to join the Revo. I personally thank Seun for the good job he is doing and all the fellows in the house. Keep up the good job.

Can anybody please tell me how I will go about GloMobile and Vmobile WAP services? I've tried all I read on it but to no success. I use Sagem My-X7 but the operators want me in their office for manual configuration which I don't have much time.

Take care.
