Hey man ure not alone they also disconnected my sim yday after so many hours of stormy connection but u see i always have a way around things like that and if u care 2 know i'm still browsing free and as a matter of fact i just downloaded "American gangster" a file of about 100mb free to my phone n im watching it now. As rgrds your case im afraid u may never be able to browse with that sim again, from my xperience so far with celtel once they disconnect your sim from gprs it appears its permanent.

First your phone must be using the celtel internet settings,i currently use my phone as a modem to browse on the pc: u'll need a usb cable, on d pc go to control panel and select "network connections" click on add new connection and configure it as follows: username: internet
password: internet
Dial: *99# and u shd be good to go. gd luck.

@Poster are u sure w810i is A2DP capable? i know of w850 but not sure of w810 being able to do the Advanced Audio Distribution Profile thing.

Sorry that request of yours might be a little too late all i think u can do now is to block the SIM and that u can do by calling 111 if ure on celtel or 180 if u use MTN and follow the voice prompts,with celtel u can block d sim easily wdout talkin to any customer care agent. Next time install a software on your phone dt will make it useless to the thief if stolen.

3G,5G or even 10G who cares,all i care about is i can download with my phone at a speed equalled with the DSL broadband and d speed of my mobile internet connectn is unparalleled i stream at will so i guess the new platform will make no damn difference to me anyway so theres no point going into a tussle of who knows more.

@argon get your info right n stop blabbing when u know but less.get more facts before talking i base my info on good resarch.theres always a diff in tech capabilities even 2.75G is higher than 2.5G and maybe u dont know d difference between UMTS and HSDPA oh ye of little knowledge

They are all quad band phones UMTS inclusive i.e they are all 3G phones.

Theres no such thing as jumping from 2.5g to 3.5g, technology doesnt work that way,its one step at a time.we know how long we were on 2g before they decided to upgrade to 2.5g its only logical that the next line of actn is 3g not 3.5g. nigerians must know how 2 use 3g before bringing 3.5g,a lot of people don't even know what streaming means or what GPS stands for or even the techniques surrounding EDGE technology and these are 2.75G and 3G utilities.I know some countries are already on 4G but the next platform Nigeria needs is 3G not 3.5G.

honsule now ure about taking a risk rite there,ure talkin of firmware upgrade not app installation uve got to be careful and do everything right so notin goes wrong,n70 for n70 and n72 for n72 just download n72 pcsuite online n get going,ur upgrade will not transform ur phone into a S60v3 phone so u still cannot use SISX files.man its ur call just be careful.

Well honsule if u mean the pc suite its rite there on nokia website just choose your region and download d latest pc suite v.8.65.There are several ways this can be done: option 1 is to download directly to your pc, optn 2 is to get an empty cd and burn it directly to it and the third easiest option is to go to a cybercafe with a flashdrive and download it on your flash,this way u can use anytime u want.hope uve got d data cable,its recommended u use a cable not OTA i.e online update.Before u begin the update first check d latest version available specifically for your phone by entering your phone code; a 7-digit code behind ur handset just under the battery compartment.cheers

The recipients phone need not be gprs enabled to receive the sms.but wont be able to view it in full,a link sent with the sms will aid that although the application works on most phones from j2me to smartphones so its advisable to download it and keep it running.

honsule my firmware is the latest version: V 5.0705 released 30-01-07 although i didn't do any update that was how i bought d phone. Theres no probs with upgrading software updates are meant to fix bugs in previous version not denying the fact that you may lose some features though but generally your phone is safe just make sure u use d recommended materials and follow onscreen instructions properly and u'll be home and dry. Tell d lady to try the tips given earlier to fix her installation probs they should work. PS: SISX files cannot work on N70 just .SIS n jar files.

In my opinion N73 ranks top followed by N70 and then comes N72. Check Slot 4 price tags. But i think with a good bargain u shd b able 2 get N70 for #28,000, N72 maybe #31,000 and N73 im not sure maybe #40,000. The phone is expensive.

@kosovo when i sent an sms it was received in less than 15 seconds i guess that is urgent enof and i think emergencies are better with phone calls not SMS.
@samuelk u can do a test by sending sms to ur own number immediately.

honsule all those stuffs should come with the box i mean they are included wit d phone on purchase provided u bought the phone new. But no probs if u aint got them the pc suite is free on nokia website just select ur phone model and download it on a flash whr u can run it from anytime.as for the data cable if u have a friend dat uses a nokia phone that has the multiple pin port u can borrow a data cable otherwise u can go to slot in ikeja to get one shd be in d range of 2k-3k.

Get the latest version of nokia PC Suite thats very easy if u have a PC download it directly from nokia web if not get a flash download it on your flash and run it on any PC.i hope your phone has a data cable,connect your phone to the system via the data cable using the PC suite and get your upgrade.

deeteeneey but u havn't told us the phone u use so we know how to help u u also didnt mention the opera version u were using b4. if u use a smartphone like the nokia nseries or SE Pseries then the perfect answer to ur question is Opera 8.65 if not then get the latest opera mini 4 but since u cant even download i wonder how u'll be able to do that,anyway if ur phone has a USB cable u can download wt a PC and transfer to ur phone.i hope this helps.

Opera 8.65 is for smartphones with symbian and windows mobile OS.

@hayprof since u know d price why not say it d poster only needs help to buy a phone,if u ask me d only phones i really know dr price are d nseries,what i wrote earlier was just an estimate and not shit.

I'm afraid there's nothing u can do to make it work except u get another phone dont bother doing a welcome back cos a welcome back is simply sim replication and u get a replica of ur old sim which will still not work with ur phone.i'm talking from experience as dis happened to me sometime ago when all of a sudden my nec phone failed to recognise my sim,i did a sim swap and d problem persisted so i had to buy another phone.

Guys have you visited esnips recently The download button has been disabled again.I wonder why they keep doing that.Now when u upload a song u have to choose an option to allow others to be able to download the song.if u dont do this they will set it not to be downloadable by default.To me all this is bullsh@t.
