imperiouxx: The time I was applying, we only request for emergency date on their website where we schedule normal date but not by call. I attached my admission letter stating the urgency of doing the interview and I got text the second day saying my request was approved. So, I logged back to the website, cancelled the initial Feb 5, then saw Jan 3 and went for it. Daz or!

kingcobra2003: I got denied on Tuesday, 16th July, applying again, got a date for next week. The agent charged my as off though, but it was worth it cos my sch resumes on the 13 August.

pls is it that this agent work with lagos consulate or collaborate with them cos dey refuse to release date for us n dis agent keep boasting they know their way around to get date.C is everywhere

I believe its in d hands of God it just annoying when u see a lady issuing visa at one counter n ur no popd up at another counter whr d guy keeps denying everybody. I know God will do d best

Ms Nas: Okay, this is how it happened.
We were in a straight file before entering the interview hall. And as we entered, there was another line for the initial checking of docs. Those doing that are Nigerians, I presume. Okay, so immediately I entered and joined that line, the security guy asked me to bring the slip I had with me (which contained number 120) and gave me one, which is 119. I dunno where he got it oo. He then gave my 120 to the girl behind me, collected her own 121, and gave it to the person behind her, collected that one's 122 and gave him 121 and so on.

The line moved quite fast and 119 showed on a guy's screen. There, the guy asked for my documents, perused it and gave me back the rest, except for my I-20 and my DS-160. He told me to go and sit down and that I'll soon be called for biometrics. After a while, my number showed on counter 7, which is where they do biometrics and the lady already had my passports and docs with her. She did the biometrics, returned my documents to me and told me to take a seat, that I'll soon be called for the interview.

Lo and behold, I sat there for like one hour and my number didn't come up. Those that we came in together had loong gone. When I couldn't take it anymore, I approached a security guy and told him, he said I should go and sit down that they'll call me, but I was adamant cos they had loooonnng passed my number. He said OK then, once you see any of the VOs that are free, just go to him/her.

As luck will have it, I sat down in the row in front of the white lady and immediately she finished somebody's interview I went to her. She was like "Did I call you?" I said no, and I held up my number and said "see, they skipped me" She said "oooohhh, we're so sorry, but you can see I already called someone, kindly wait till I finish with her and you can come"

She was even the one that called me when she finished. She was like " will ticket number 119 please come forward?"

The rest is history oo.

thanks I tink u av ansd n make tins more clearer but wat hapnd to me ystdy was different, its wat hapnd to u abt biometric dat I was expecting. It was d guy dat calld me for biometric dat after d biometric he started asking Q n I ansd, I thut he wuld give me my doc like u explained n I will seat down n wait for my no to show. but they will kip calling ur no, d girl dat hold d no b4 mine ysterdy probably wantd to do cus wen her no showd on d guy counter she did nt cme out but dey kip waiting for her to cme n d no didn't change until she came out .d guy spent lik 4min from no 150 to my no 155 n denied 5 of us within dat min wen some lady vo spent more dan dat on one person. So if we use dat ur mtd do u tink dat will change anytin cos my passport was with d guy alredi n I don't knw if dey will transfer it to anoda vo if u don't come out. I'm the lady who they skipped her number! . I dunno how they do it in Abuja oo, but in Lagos..they have this electronic display (like the ones you see at fast foods). So when your number comes up and you don't come forward, they will use PA system to announce.
I'm pretty sure mine was skipped tho, cos my eyes were just roving through all the displays. The thing went from 118 straight to 120 in front of my eyes korokoro. Na then I begin fear! .
Even sef, the ticket wasn't the original one I picked.

I initially printed 120, but immediately I got on the queue for biometrics, the security guy had the 119 with him (dunno where he got it), he gave that to me, collected my 120 and gave my 120 to the person after me after collecting her 121 and so on like that. Let's just say that happened just so I could get my visa, cos my original 120 was denied. 121 too

yes I was also in lagos n d annoying tin was that I saw d lady at counter one issuing at 90percent n d guys denying everybdy n d number forced me to dis wrong guy dat didn't justify d reason for denying me. It just like a day light robbery of my money n chance. So ur no did not show up n u walkd to d lady n nobody said anytin n ystday my own passport n doc was not wit me cos dey collected it from us at one counter, how did u do ur own pls kindly explain

And he is 1 intelligent guy dat i knw but he told me that the man,VO was just bouncing people and that when he was his turn the man just asked him his name and age that was all. He replied him that he is 25. And he typed for like 5mins and said am sorry blah blah. So my friend now asked excuse me sir what is the reason of my denial,you asked me two questions and that was all. He didn't ans him. I pray that man will not be on duty on my own day. God will send him on an assignment that himself didn't plan for.

that was what I experienced yesterday , I even thought dat wasn't the real interview until d guy said sorry blah blah honestly I don't pray to meet a guy never not even at this time wen to get date s almost impossible n dey treat pple unfairly just keep praying against them, they really didn't acted fairly but their is God

House,pls I need clarification on this, I read an interview here last week when d lady said dey passed her no n she later walked up to d lady she saw issuing visa at higher rate n she got it n tonite again another guy said he quickly jump to d counter of d lady issuing, ystday at embassy I also saw a lady issuing but pples no were popping up n dats where u will go even wen I saw dat d guys were denying everybody my Q s dat can I sit back n not go if my no pops up at a wrong counter n wat will happen cos I saw my passport wit document infront of d guy already, am very sure if I was interviewed by a lady I would av gotten it cos they r just lively n ask enuf Q b4 deciding

Have something important to tell you. It's not about any agent (y'all know I hate them) or getting visa (don't know about your luck and level of preparation) or reason for denial (US never made me one of their visa officer) but it's personal concern.

They'l alwz giv u reason(s) y u were denied.Am hapi dat i did nt mess up,2day jst wasnt my day.i was wit this forum b4 my delay,nw dt am delayd i'l b here n wen i finaly get my visa i'l b here. @obsy2020 congrat,was also there at 7.30, the ladies there toward were really fair compared to the guys,they r just way 2 hard,stingy n wouldnt ask u much questions b4 dy conclude.i was jst a bit below been fortunate my no popped up on d guys counter.Honestly if u'v spent enuf tym on this thread u dont nid 2b scared/nervous 4d interview jst pray u'l b so fortunate at that one minute u'r no wil show,it could make alot of difference. Because the US Embassy dont deny student applicants for No reason... There is sometin wrong with his application..

And this brings me to a conclusion dt it might be a case of INCONSISTENCY in his DS 160 form..

To be honest, i dont have any siblings abroad n i d only persn we av as a family s a distant uncle who cant even recognize me neither can i recognize him, i filld my ds 160 myslf n i statd no siblngs, bt am nt dscourage nor sad,today wasnt my day,i'l try n reapply again n carefully fil anoda ds 160, thanks @all n congrat to dos who gt dia visa today

@house, i was delayed this morning but am happy cos it was just a game of luck 2day dt i was at d embassy,only d girl at counter 1 was giving @ rate of 90%. My experience;i entered d hall wit boldnes dt i cant explain whr it cmes 4rm,queued n submitd my doc dn went 2sit dwn,d girl bside me said dy'l stl cal us bak 2pick our pasport so was sitd n saw counter 1 grl gvg out 2 even pple goin 4 conference,4 no b4 mine shwd on countr 7 so thut dts whr i'l pick up my doc 2wait 4 interview,witin 2mins 4of dm went dia n tk dia doc,my no shwd n i wnt dia wt d mind 2tke mine,d guy said i shld do my fingr prnt n i did.
