The Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, on Wednesday claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari is suffering from voice impairment and has been on life support in a West-End London Hospital since June 6. He also dismissed a purported audio message of the president greeting people for the just celebrated Eid-el-Fitri in Hausa language as “absolute lies.” “No doubt, the audio message was only a damage-control strategy aimed at further deceiving Nigerians,” he said. Addressing journalists in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday, the governor noted that there had been no official statement on the health status and whereabout of the president since he travelled abroad for treatment 53 days ago. Fayose, who issued a 48-hour ultimatum to the presidency to discountenance his claims, threatened to reveal further details on the hospital if there was no official statement from the government. “Today, it makes 53 days since our president left Nigeria to attend to his health challenges abroad. No official information as to his whereabouts and his state of health. “Like every other Nigerians, I do not wish the president dead, I have therefore maintained dignified silence since we were told that the president embarked on his second medical trip abroad this year. “However, the recorded audio message which was released by the Presidency as the president’s Ramadan message to Nigerians necessitated my setting the records straight today. “The audio message does not represent the truth as our President does not only have voice impairment, he has been on life-support since June 6, 2017, at a West-End, London Hospital.” The governor revealed that the First Lady, Aisha, was not allowed to see her husband during her last visit to the United Kingdom if only she would be courageous enough to admit. He said, “Only three Nigerians who are of the president’s cabal are allowed access to the president. I will keep their identities for now. “Anyone with contrary claim should produce the president to Nigerians within the next 48 hours. I want to say emphatically that Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has not spoken to the president in the last one month. I expect him to prove me wrong.” |

This was heartbreaking and sad occurrence. My heart and prayers are with the Bakare's family. May the Lord comfort you. However, the Management and Staff of Duro Soleye Hospital has to be adequately sanctioned by the appropriate institution and regulators. Some of our Hospitals/Clinics are not only mushrooms but are run by quacks and insensitive care givers. |
That is the effect of no or poor urban and town planning. As it can be seen, the road lacks drainage. Insincerity has promoted the backwardness of this nation. |

Well said by Mr Project. |
DR. Aliagan Imam Abubakr has this to say Allahu Akbar......majority of our Muslim Governors spent the last 10 days of Ramadan in Makkah performing the lesser hajj. They spent huge amount of tax payers money on this qestionable project which is devoid of any reward. They used 1st class flights with chains of gold digger sycophants. They lodged in the best hotel near the HARAMAIN both at Makkah and Madinah. Are they so religious in their private lives that warrant such Umrah venture? Addict drunkards pretending to be religious..did I hear you saying that some of them are drug addicts? A simple layman calculation reveals that such executhieves Umrah trip amount to millions of Naira..... Governor Expenses= (1st class flight, the best hotel and logistics ) The entourage = (10 sycophants, Business class, middle class hotel and allowances) The Venal Scholars=( 15-20, whose main job is to pray for continuity in error, Economy class, between $500 to $1000) 1st lady and her group (1st Class flights, The best hotels for ALL, and stop over at Dubai for shopping) Over #250m must have been spent on just one Umrah trip from the tax payers money (my wrong calculation). My question is that before these opportunists got elected how many of them ever used Business class flights not talk of 1st class simply because they want to perform a religious duty? And by the time they vacate the office will they be driven by religiosity to spend such huge amount from their pockets? Let us be on the positive thinking. Our leaders embarked on such trip especially during Ramadan to get reward from Almighty Allah, but is there not a better way of achieving the rewards as recommended by the Prophet Muhammad (SAW)? Bringing sucoor to the down trodden masses is far better than the multiple Umrah ventures. I have explained this point in details in my on line academic paper entitled "The concept of Al Istitah and hajj sponsorship in Nigeria" The philosophy of ZAKATUL FITR is another pointer in this direction. Imagine if such huge waste is used to purchase drugs for free distribution in our HOSPITALS and the ESE KUKU clinics.? This would have reduced the spread of cholera and maternal mortality cases. Imagine if such huge reckless spending is used to rehabilitate our potholes driven streets. Many avoidable deaths through accidents would have been averted. Imagine if such bonanza is used to fund the educational sectors.. our over crowded classes would have been a matter of the past Imagine if the chains of unemployed graduates are given #500,000k to start small scale business. 500 young graduates would have been empowered. Imagine if such is their programme for the past sixteen years they would have empowered 8000 graduates. Imagine if such amount is used to purchase tractors and fertilizers to be given to local farmers at subsidized rate, we would have chased the foreign farmers from our land. Did I hear you saying that the money could be used to pay part of the workers salary or to provide adequate water supply? .... |
Maimartaba, Sarkin Musulumi may your reign be long and prosperous amin. Eid Mubarak! |
It was a wonderful moment at Ifako Ijaiye Mini Stadium, where myself and my family observed the Eid prayer. The prayer was followed by get together organized by a Christian chairman of Ifako Ijaiye Local Government of Lagos State. Eid Mubarak and many rewarding ones ahead. |

We came, we saw and we conquered. All praises and adoration are due to Almighty Allah who counts us among those that witnessed the beginning and the end of 1438 Ramadan. May Allah accept all our righteous deeds therein from us as an act of ibadah. May this not be the last one on earth surface. Dear brethren, let us know that it is Ramadan that ended, righteous deeds never end. Do not be among those that will destroy a month righteous deeds within a twinkle of an eye. Dear ikhwah, let us peruse the below pieces of advice: 1. Let us endeavour to retain and maintain the lessons of Ramadan which is piety and being God-fearing. 2. Let us continue observing our daily salat in congregation as we did in Ramadan. 3. Let us be persistent in our night prayers - Tahajjud - as this moves one closer to Allah. Tahajjud is not restricted to Ramadan alone. The best salat after the obligatory ones is night prayer. Jurthum bn Nashir a Sahabi who died while on Sujud, this happened to him outside Ramadan. 4. Let us be persistent in Quranic recitation even though it may be at slow pace compared to that of Ramadan. Never live for a day without reading some pages from the book of Allah. Recitation of a letter attracts ten rewards. 5. Sadaqah, spending on Allah's cause, feeding of the poor, sponsoring of Islamic programs etc. should not go on vacation after Ramadan. 6. All these Tafsir sittings, learning circles, weekend lectures etc. should not be restricted to Ramadan. Da'wah should continue after Ramadan. 7. Exchange of gifts increase true love and solid Islamic brotherhood. We should continue this after Ramadan. We give and take. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said that exchange of gifts increases love among Muslims. 8. We have time for our family during Ramadan. We reach home before Maghrib and quickly rush home after Tarawih. Women love this. Let us keep it up after Ramadan. 9. Don't let us go back to sins or evils we have abandoned and repented from for a complete month. Going back to those sins is like a dog who goes back and consumes its vomit. 10. Let us seek Allah's forgiveness over our sins and iniquities. 11. Let us pardon those who might have offended us in one way or the other, knowingly or unknowingly as we also sought Allah's forgiveness during laylatul Qadr. Allahumma Innaka afuwwun tuhibbul afwa fa'afu anna. 12. Let us remember dead Muslims in our prayers. Their family members should be catered for according to our ability. 13.The less privilege among Muslims should not be abandoned. They deserve our courtesy. 14. Fulfill your Zakat-ul-Fitr before going for Idul-Fitr prayer. The most authentic view to the overwhelming majority of Muslim scholars is that Zakat-ul-Fitr should be paid with foodstuffs. Though Imam Abu Hanifah among others opine otherwise. 15. This is the time of fitnah. Let us pray for Islamic countries of the world where there are discrepancies and rifts among their leaders. Allah's intervention should be prayed for. الدعاء بظهر الغيب مستجاب Should I have offended anyone, pardon me for Allah's sake. O Allah! Accept all our acts of worship in Ramadan. O Allah! Accept our fasting, salat, prayers, sadaqah, Tilawatul Qur'an, Spreading of knowledge among other righteous deeds. O Allah! Forgive us where we err, act ignorantly or follow our whimsical desires. I rejoice with Muslim Ummah on 1438 Idul-Fitr. ﺗﻘﺒﻞ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻣﻨﺎ ﻭﻣﻨﻜﻢ |
