I can venture with all certainty that Bindex had NO IDEA that there are areas on earth where the sun can stay in the sky for 24hrs which is why he framed his question the way he did. You posited two questions above which are questions that i have also pondered upon myself but here are the fundamental problems with them:

1. Mindset - what is the reason for asking those questions? If your asking about the tower of babel is to try and prove by modern engineering that it could not have been possible then your quest is futile. For salvation is not about trying to logically work your way to heaven. If christianity were by logic alone only the "wise" would be in heaven.

You premise is flawed, a God that created the heavens and the earth will not talk about or give people inspiration to write about events that are factually wrong. Note that I underscored the word fatually wrong. This is not about Engineering Its about facts.

2. You are asking the wrong questions - imagine a 7 yr old asking you to explain how genes are transcribed in a cell . . . where do you start from? Should you explain to him from now till tomorrow he will NEVER understand because he/she is bereft of the fundamental knowledge required to digest complex biology. However shld you refuse to explain . . . will the child then accuse you of "ducking and running"

The bible says that God sent sent himself into the world to save all of mankind right? but research and even the bible has shown that there are so many holes in the Jesus narrative. What is wrong in asking you to explain the Noah's ark story, or the fact that some of the biblical assertions have been debunked by science and facts or why a merciful and loving God will put so many billions of people in hell for eternity as you believe, even though there are so many of them that have never heard about him? historical research has shown that the exodus story never happened as portrayed in the bible. Did it happen or did it not happen? Did they sun stand still for over 24 hours or not? People will always believe in what ever they want to believe. There are over a billion moslems in the world who will never accept that Allah as portrayed in the koran is a violent God. I asked a question on how the prophet mohammed was able to divided the moon into two as narrated in the haddit in the islamic section and some one came and gave me a "reasonable" answer. The bible falsely asserst that God provides food for the birds but science has shown that to be wrong because birds vigorously hunt, fight and search for their food, if they dont they die. nobody provides food for them but themselves. If the tigers meal is'nt there the tiger dies, many animals have gone into extinction because of the activities of man, changes in their habitats or lack of food.

As to some of your points evolution and natural selection has explained some of them even though I do not completely believe in the TOE it still has some very valid points and has explained some of the questions you possed, the TOE is still flawed though.

Imagine a girl of about 10 that was born deaf and dumb saying daddy after being healed by pastor chris, I almost fell of my chair when I saw that ridiculous sham, my girl friends sister was busy shouting and praising the lord beside me while we were watching the hour of miracle on the loveworld TV station. Please try and make it a habit to watch the national geographic channel, you will learn a lot for it. The channel has really opened my eyes with regards to animals they are just like us and i really mean it. They really are like us humans but the difference is that they live in their own different world. Animal habitats, hunting, eating, mating habits etc have been studied in details and put on vidoe for all to see.The bible LIED that God provides for the birds in the sky for that reason people should not worry because since he provides for the birds in the sky he will surely provide for his "children", which is very false.All the birds vigorously fight, search and hunt for their food, if they don't they die off. Nobody provides food for them but themselves. This just goes to show that the ancient biblical writers knew little or nothing about the birds, they never studied their hunting habits and how they live their lives, hence the blind and ignorant conclusion that God proviveds for them but thank goodness for science and national geographic who showed us that the biblical assersion is false.

He asked me to take an oath and dare the biblical God, i did and when he saw that i was still alive he quickly turned to the God loves and cares for me mantra. I really do not like getting into arguments based on opinions and hypothetical theories. But I will post a response. The book of Deuteronomy is a group of 3 addresses delivered by Moses to Israel.

The one you mentioned relates to regulations for sexual behaviour which is understandable for millions of people making a 40 year journey to the promised land. Peharps these laws were suitable for that time I don't know but, in my opinion, those laws were established to protect the Isrealites for the situation they were in.

Promised land or stolen land? why must an all powerful God lead people on a 40 years journey to a promised land that was already inhabited by other people? Why did'nt he create a land of milk and honey for his "chosen" people? Load of bull I say.
