elipheleh:I wont have seen this is they didnt quote my name . Very moving and thank you for sharing! |
A40:I didnt hear anything from him openly. I think he likes to play politician, and never says more than he needs to just in case. Everything else is just noise. There is no way he and his crew have forgotten how Kyrie handles the last exit. I dont think Lebron ever wanted Kyrie - but he wasnt going to come out and say so. The one thing he has always insinuated is needing knock down shooters. |
Roland17:He likes to lay low, thats for sure. Hard to do in LA. Na Ja Morant go fit LA well well |
Roland17:AD should be the focal point of the Lakers, period. But its no one's fault he is injured all the time. The leadership position is his, but he has to take it. No one is giving it to him - without Lebron heroics, the Lakers would be at the bottom of the WC. Give Lebron his dues. So if folks are not talking enough about AD, thats on him, or more precisely his injuries. Same way everyone skipped Kawhi while he was load managing. PGIII has more credit for this teams success, even if Kawhi is supposed to be the focal point. I think you feel like Lebron is getting more credit than AD for Lakers resurgence, well that is the truth. AD has been in street clothes a looong time |
Roland17:Was anyone ever in doubt of that? Everyone I know has been waiting for AD to takeover for 3 years now. Lebron looks like papa smurf out there lol. Funny enough, he reminds me of how Pierce used to play towards the end of his career. Like an old fox trying to trick his way to the rim Pierce was strong and could have played longer, but I get the feel he wasnt trying to learn any new tricks. |
Roland17:what is the obvious, Im curious. for real ![]() |
Maynman:You have to throw away wins like this. 15 3s before the half is a fluke, and wont happen again. In fact it can work against the team, because you play lazy the rest of the game and carry it over into the next game. But they have a good coach, so I hope they can ride this emotional wave and string 2 -3 wins per loss. |
A40:And I was glad when they couldnt get him. A team with Lebron/AD needs a deep roster, not another superstar. The Lakers roster would have been depleted to make the trade, and Lakers would have missed even the play ins. How would they have competed vs even the timberwolves? It always bothers me how tv analysts keep hyping names without looking at fit - its like, do they actually not know what they are talking about, or are they playing dumb to generate ratings. Like I said earlier, there was no big superstar in he Laker's trade, just pieces that can work under a smart coach. |
Hard to keep a 35pt lead in this league. I had already written off the lakers this season, but the team is clicking. I had written Laker off because Lebron led teams typically fall apart if he is absent. Partly its the way the team is constructed around him, partly its that everyone starts to unconsciously rely on Lebrons greatness to bail them out and they get mentally lazy. Question now is, can Lakers make it to 6th seed and avoid the playins. The way the west is shaping up, I think 1-4 are pretty much set |
Roland17:una think sey we go jus prostrate becos una get annointing? If you guys dont wake up and play some D, you gon be out in the 2nd round |
steady986:There was no superstar in that trade ala westbrook or other big name. These are role players. Including Vanderbilt. The Lakers are winning because they are playing like a team, instead of relying on 3 superstars. Even Reaves is balling. The biggest MVP on this team right now is the coach. See that was my initial problem with all these GM types, trying to get big names and build a big 4 or some nonsense like that. The league is too advanced for that. That westbrook experiment shoulda never happened, and it took them a few weeks in oct/nov/dec to start clicking. Now they fighting for playins when they should be like #3 or #4 seed. But it is what it is. Lakers have like 3 weeks to tighten rotation and get ready for play offs. |
Honlucas:They have also been getting better under the new coach. Even before the trades, they were going on streaks. I think people make too much of the trade - there was no game changer in those trades |
steady986:I have heard all kinds of talks. He knows where to give the superstars the ball... He understands the rhythm of the game... He does the little things... Etc Etc... Yet the guy man dey average 7pts, 7 rebounds as a PF on a team that has weapons that should free him u p. What you guys dont realize is you what you are describing exists in many other power forwards. And there are at least a dozen better PFs in the league now than Draymond. They just didnt have the opportunity to play with an all time great like Curry. See ehn, Curry is quiet, and sells himself short, and it makes him look less than he really is. At the same time, it makes his teammates look bigger than they really are. Was Klay really better than say Beal? Was Barnes really that good a small forward? Why then are you ascribing all this to Draymond, just for being lucky to be in the right organization with an unselfish all time great? |
Roland17:And I hope it leads to playoff games where scoring is <110 points. Otherwise, its not watchable |
steady986:The guy who makes the warriors run never talks. Dre is nowhere near as good as people rate him. On any other team, he would be a bench player |
steady986:No, pls dont say this. That was a grown man's game back then. The size and way they played make it look deceptively slow, but it wasnt. Go time those Larry Bird jumpers. He looked slow, could barely jump. But time it and see where he releases from, and compare it with KD. Speed is not the most important thing in a game. I would argue its not even skill. Its the grown man mindset which is lacking today. Outside of a few shining stars like Lebron, Durant, Curry, Jokic, Embiid, Giannis, we got stars that are OK with missing half the season just because they dont feel too good. Kawhi, AD etc all skilled, but soft like charmin. Soft. Dont care how fast they are, they soft. If they dropping 40pts on your @ss at half time and get to 70, you soft. Trifling as well. Rockets Im looking at you ![]() |
Maynman:I think we have seen enough of the Lakers this year. There are more interesting stories, from more serious actors on stage. We will see you guys next year. |
Roland17:Lebron had that odd crew he used to roll with when he got drafted. Those kids looked like a gang, looking unruly. Fast forward 20 years and all those kids were really just kids, looking for opportunity. Ja Morant was doing the same as a rookie, and I assumed he would grow up at some point. Apparently not, this fool is looking to become a parable. smh |
Roland17:The one Lillard got against the Rockets, I know coach Silas gone at the end of this season. We have amassed rookies with no work culture and we need changes from GM to coach to players |
JJ Redick is milking his fame rite now. Bro is giving everyone on ESPN the business |
A40:yeah, something about the clippers always trips up Lakers since Lebron joined. Maybe Ty Lue knows something. But Ive seen clippers flog them with even no kawhi, no pg3 |
A40:Yeah, the amount of work he had to do to score those 4th Q points, I knew there would be repercussions. The Lakers can make playoffs, but even with Lebron can they beat the top 4 teams 4 games out of 7? I dont think so. Well sha, lets see if Lakers can get into playoffs without Lebron. |
A40:I could barely watch the all star game, and at some point I just decided it was a waste of time. Feels like a gimmick at this point, like NBA Jam. Ditto with the regular games. I like the top 4 in the west and east, assuming Suns move up the standings, and hopefully we see some real bball come playoffs. I hate to say it steady986, but I dont see Lakers even making the playoffs right now. I an willing to be proven wrong. |
A40:LOL! ![]() problem e no dey finish, make u dey try to enjoy ooo. go an calm down b4 you kee yourself ![]() |
A40:You do it to yourself. 90% of your posts are about the guy you claim not to care for. At some point, I have to wonder if you can even sleep without thinking of Lebron. You are just as bad as the bron*** you keep talking about everyday. Almost like you low key envy them ![]() goan review your last 100 posts. abi d guy owe you money? ![]() |
A40:Asake is the real deal. Im not really into his style, but its good music. He put in work, has a good crew and the music makes sense. Show up for your concert, stay away from guns and stupid ish, dont burn bridges with moguls who put you on the map in the first place, and you should be fine! |
donlittle25:I didnt see any gif thank God ![]() |
benji93:Asake is not noise na. Even if na noise, beat must dey sweet. Most of burnas songs suck on both counts. Sounds like mixtape of hungry rapper based in Lokoja. Or Abeokuta |
Roland17:dont like the music either. other than 1 or 2 hits most of it is bland. I would rather listen to portable |
Roland17:Dont know what guys hear in this guys music. Dude is average imo, and makes too much trouble for his own good |
Roland17:Lol, Im not a hater like a40 . I appreciate genuine talent whenever I see it. Props to Tatum, he deserves all the smoke. |
