The way you people talk shiit about Dray's game is shocking sometimes. I can understand the non GS fans like you but I get infuriated when I hear it coming from the GS fans themselves. It just shows they are ungrateful. Draymond has been a central figure for this team for a decade. Yes he might not be this usefull on another team, but you see him in that GS team? I'll repeat myself, GS would have only 2 championships if he wasn't on that team. I don't know whether you guys trash him because he doesn't score 25 a night like Steph and Klay, or because he doesn't shoot 35 footers and do the flashy crossovers. Who do you think has been slowing AD down in this series? What happened to Looney in game one? The poor lad lost his starting spot after that game even though he is their best rebounder. If GS are wise they should trade Klay before they even think of Draymond. And I suspect that's what they'll do. You can get a Klay replacement easily in this league. But you can't get another player to do what Dray has been doing for GS in the past 10 years.

Are you not the stats guy? Go check draymonds record with curry injured and klay out. Then come back and apologize in shame

I would say split. Embiid has yet to have an MVP game, and its likely he has one at home.

If GSW wins (this is my expectation actually) then the series might go to 7 games. If it gets to 7 games , then GSW will win it all.

D. Hamm, the rookie head coach of the Lakers did not need rocket science or head coaching experience to assign a double team against a lethal shooter like Curry immediately he crossed into the Lakers half with seconds to go.

Those shots go in all the time. For the warriors, those are normal shots. Go look at all the 3ptrs Warriors took that game. With the exception of Klay, Warriors shooters like to break the rules of long range shooting. Feet set? Nah. Lean in? Nah. Square shoulders? Nah. Its why they are about impossible to guard, you cant predict when they will let the ball fly. And it has won them more games than they lost. So I dont think this can be put on Poole. If that shot goes in, folks would be singing a different tune.

I'm surprised no one is talking about the obvious coaching disparity in this series. Steve Kerr is an OG in this game and Ham is a rookie. We saw how Steve Kerr removed Looney from the game down the stretch and played Dray at the 5 with 3 shooters and Wiggins at the 4. What happens? They go on a 14-0 run as a result.

I really don't trust Ham to be a key factor in this series. It's all down to those on the court.

Ham did the right thing. That was a bait, to make Lakers go small as well. And that would have been a mistake because the Lakers strength is their size, while the Warriors strength is small ball. That run ended with the Lakers bigs reasserting themselves in the paint. Even when the Lakers didnt score by going into the paint, it still slowed down the game enough for defense to setup on the other end.

You are NOT going to stop the Warriors from making runs. Best you can do is absorb it, dont panic and stick to the game plan. Ham's rotation was actually key here. Again, I saw that Reaves/Lebron combo which I think has potential.

Yup. Usually teams get scared when curry starts raining 3s. Lebron sensed the moment and forced the issue on the paint. If not, Lakers would have lost.

The warriors are the modern day spurs - if you want to rebuild your team, just follow their pattern and get their coaches.

This tension in this game reminds me of the series where Lebron had to overcome the Celtic big 3. Wow!

First, Curry. I am convinced this cat's game is spiritual. I watched him for long periods, and what he does on the floor, I am not sure how he is doing it. There has to be an inner game this man is playing. A half second mistake by a defender and next thing a 3. Forget Klay, forget Durant. Curry has always been the engine of this team.

Kudos to the Lakers for not folding under the 4Q assault that was surely to come. Lebron picked up at the right time to chip in points. The role players looked bewildered a bit, but they kept calm and didnt make mistakes. AD is definitely the game MVP, beast mode. Game 1 to the underdog!!!
