Question is, would you keep paying him his allowances and keep paying for his medicals in a foreign land with your hard earned money or ask him to do the needfull and fully concentrate on getting his health back in shape?
This question is for all those still turning a blind eye to the "doctrine of necessity" because of political sentiments and hypocrisy.

tintingz: I support M.I
I'm not gay and I'm not anti-gay.
Gays should be left alone, the law against them is bullshit, many homosexuals is not their fault they are gays, it is scientifically shown there are gay gene, while some gays are having gender dysphoria, a disorder that makes them feel they are in wrong body(assigned gender). People should be educated and tolerate homosexuals for thier sexual orientation as long they are not hurting anyhow, I don't see how gays are affect anyone, they are not the one killing, terrorizing, slaughtering innocent people everywhere.
I use to hate gays until when I did research about them and I realize there are biological and psychological reasons many people are LGBT.
People should stop using their religion to condemn gays or call for their killings, some countries kill homosexuals which is barbaric, killing is not the solution, there are gays among animals, I wonder why Yahweh or Allah didn't destroy gay animals like he did in that Jewish story book(if it really happened).
Let's love and stop the hate. Don't worry my dear, just be ready to accommodate those that will sleep with cattles, cats, pigs & even trees on the premise that it's their sexual orientation. Have you seen action in this world that is not justified especially by the one who carries it out? |

Drienzia: Now that buhari is messing up... Its time for the igbos to manipulate their way to the top(politics) it would be a great development if we can have An Igbo president and a Yoruba vice (vise vasa) same applies to an Igbo and and Hausa presidency... It would help reduce tribal differences in Nigeria..
I don't see how joining APC would solve the problem on ground. Kalu should just shut up and stop saying trash... Let's look at it this way. By 2015, the north insisted on Presidency and got it. Surely, they are expected to have it for at least two terms (2015/2019 & 2019/2023). Never delude your mind that the north will relinquish power by 2019. Never! PMB is already enjoying first term & would likely go for second term by 2019. Hence, by 2023, he must have completed the two terms for the North. Power naturally will be expected to return back to south. Now ask your yourself, if power comes back to South, who, amongst the three southern geopolitical zones do you think should be best qualified to produce the president. OBJ had taken the 8years of South West, GEJ took about 6years for South South. Nothing yet for the South East. If, therefore, the SE should play their cards well & aligned accordingly, they shall be the beautiful bride by 2023. I sincerely think that this is the bigger picture people like OUK, Rochas & other notable south eastern politicians are seeing now. Hence, the need to align with the centre. Remember, if PMB fails in his reelection bid by 2019 and it goes to another politician of Northern extraction like Atiku, it then means that power will most likely remain there till 2027 when the new man must have completed his own two terms (2019/2023 & 2023/2027). This was the mistake the SE made during 2015 elections which cost them senate presidency. If the south east had elected at least a senator under APC platform (preferably Ngige who was then already a senator), senate presidency would have naturally come to the zone. But what did they do: they played politics of the mind (total and open show of hatred to other zones especially the north) & not politics of the head (alignment, compromise & give/take). They played the game with emotions & not brain. Most of them were so blinded by their hatred for PMB that they vowed never to vote any northerner. By 2019, when they must choose from one amongst all the northerners that will emerge as candidates, I wonder what they will do! Maybe, they won't vote at all So you see, aligning with PMB viz-a-viz APC is the shortest cut for Igbo presidency. Ndewo! |

Politics › Re: Senate: Buhari Has No Plan To End Recession by Bishop4real: 4:24pm On Nov 25, 2016 |
repogirl: and it's everytime Buhari becomes President that the country begins paying the price of wastefulness.
I can bet you everything we are going through now could have been avoided or if not avoided, could have been managed better. Tell me one thing they have done right concerning this economy since they resumed office. Remember the first few weeks of Buhari's resumption, our stocks rose, investor confidence was high, but then Buhari began work. No direction on the economy, making foolish statements like he met an empty treasury, CBN suddenly cutting off forex supply to businesses, thereby creating panic and investors ran. Then they said they don't need the investors, Nigeria would be better without them. No ministers and when he finally put them together, they have no idea what their ministeries are about. He gave Crude oil exporters ultimatums at a time when oil was selling at an all time low as if Nigeria is the only Oil producing country they can buy from. Then he cancelled the Niger delta amnesty programme...just making all the bad decisions and you say wastefulness?
Even if the past administrations were wasteful and nothing was saved, isnt that the time to be careful not to lose your customers? Instead you kuku chase them off and later go and be begging them to return after the economy has been plunged into recession. Will they dash you their money to be wasted again especially when they do not see any clear cut plans to get out of it which is what the senate is asking this so called Minister of planning Udo Udoma.
The little money the country is making is going to oil exploration in the North by the NORTHERN NIGERIA PETROLEUM COMPANY and he keeps preaching diversification. Now he wants to borrow 30billion dollars which I bet you, half of it will go into oil exploration.
By the way, how dare you say the minister doesnt need to appear before the senate committee? Even the president, if summoned is mandated to appear before them. See, these people were put into office by us and tomorrow if we suddenly grow sense and agitate that we no longer want them in power, it is our right. What is democracy after all. The south African president surrenders himself to his Paliament when summoned, where he is insulted and called a thief everytime. If it were Buhari, all the reps would be in DSS custody.
The legislative are our representatives and in a sane government, they answer to the people. No minister...even the president of the United States is not above congress! The PM of the UK goes to Paliament regularly, defending every action he plans to take, so who the hell is one Minister Udo Udoma who has no inkling what he is doing, to refuse to show up when summoned?
Nigerians need to get sense and know that we owe no one, this country is ours and only we can guide it in the direction we want. The people arethe power and I stand with my statement,we are not suffering wastefulness, we are suffering from our current bad leadership!
Under the past administration, Nigeria became the number one economy in Africa. Do you think that position happens without investing money into the economy? You call it wastage, but it was mostly investments. investments which are probably still holding this country together so that things don't become as bad as 1983.Yes, the last administration was riddled with corruption but is it worse than that of Abacha and OBJ's?
Lets not forget oil prices didn't just drop after Buhari entered office. NOI saw what was coming ahead and I'm sure if she and her Economic team had been left to handle it we wouldn't be in this mess.
Even with the massive corruption in our economy and boko haram threats, Nigeria held the first ever world economic summit in Africa and top economists, investors and officials from all over the world attended it because they recognised Nigeria was the next place to invest in. Would they have bothered if our economy had no potential? That's what is called true diversification not this nonsense Buhari keeps shouting yet he's doing opposite.
I say it again, we are suffering from bad leadership not wastefulness. Hahahaha... I feel your pains sister. Sorry, but I think you are just been emotional. I prefer facts to emotions for emotions don't change facts. You never disagreed with the fact that Shagari & GEJ's regimes were respectively wasteful & corrupt. You went further to posit that our problem is not wastefulness but bad leadership forgetting that wastefulness is a direct product of bad leadership! Any economy that enjoyed such surplus as was enjoyed under GEJ is bound to break records! An economy that had far much surplus well above budgetary projections is bound to be healthy. It's as simple as that! But what did we get in return? Less than about 80% budget performance & depletion of excess crude savings! Note, my dear sister, that the test of strength of any economy is not measured/determined at times of surplus; it is measured by its response at times of lack/deficit/scarcity. Remember that this is not the first time Nigeria is experiencing all time low in oil price. Have you ever wondered how & why Nigeria survived the world economic meltdown of 2008 caused primarily by low oil price like we have now? It was because OBJ was able to save during the surplus years of 2004 & thereabout. By the time 2008 melt down came, the then administration drew from surpluses & was able to break even! This is a fact attested to by NOI when she lamented the lack of political will to save during her second coming as finance minister. You said NOI saw the doom ahead. Can you in all sincerity tell us what NOI saw that made her raise such alarm as at the time she did? Remember by the time she made those comments, government at different levels have started owing up to 6/8 months salaries. What did she & her team do as at that material time to avert the dangers ahead or better still, offset backlog of unpaid salaries? In the first place, why would such government with excess revenue owe salaries? As for the minister appearing before senate committee on finance/budget, I advise you read my remarks again. At no time did I say he can't appear before senate. Never! Infact I maintained that he should appear before them. I only reasoned that it won't be necessary for him to appear before senate plenary sessions as long as he appears before the appropriate senate committee on finance/budget. Of course, if there is any need for him to appear before the senate at plenary, he is bound by law to do so. There is huge difference between senate committee siting & plenary sessions! I believe you must be privy to the details of the $30b loan request for you to conclude that it will be used primarily for oil exploration in the north. Please avail us of such details! Otherwise, I may assume it's the figment of your imagination probably borne out of emotions...! It's unfortunate that you think this administration is doing absolutely nothing in bringing us out of recession. Believe that; then, you can believe anything! Do you sincerely believe that the sudden rise in local rice production across the nation is a fluke & not a direct response to this administrations bid to diversify? Yes, the volume produced now might not be enough but with persistence, we shall get there. Do you think that the political will to implement TSA by this administration is not yielding results yet? Just ask anybody in logistics what that singular act is saving this nation on daily basis from the activities of Hawks in Nigeria Customs Service. My sister, an average Nigerian wants to enjoy blissful eternity but is not wiling to die. The country has been badly managed & is on recovery process. Such recoveries are not achieved overnight. We must join hands to make it work. Most robost, viable & strong world economies today went through this type of phase viz-a-viz "hardship" in their recovery quest. Even in Ghana, corrupt politicians whose activities plunged Ghana into economic woes were not even jailed; they were killed by the then government of Jerry Rawlings. Today, Ghana is enjoying the fruits of such "madness" from Jerry Rawlings. I believe he never enjoyed the 100% support of all Ghanaians but did what was expedient as at that material time to liberate Ghana. In our case, just the arrest of perceived corrupt politicians and economic saboteurs are given all manner of ethic, religious & tribal coloration. Lest I forget, do you think those who have been benefitting from the status quo (any things goes & corruption holds sway) will just fold their arms and sing praises unto this administration? Its a battle we must be ready to fight now so as to secure our future or chicken out & mortgage our future. For how long shall we continue to postpone the dooms day. The battle line is drawn & the choice on which divide to belong is ours! It's well... |

repogirl: Is it me and you that they voted for to run the country and come up with ideas. Have the senators now turned to economists? Is it their job to advice Buhari on what to do? What happened to his economic team? Even the minister of budget and planning refused to show up and defend the document so what do you want the senators to do? I'm even surprised they ended up approving it. It will turn out to be a huge mistake, juat watch
Fact remains Buhari and his band of bumbling buffoons have no idea what they are doing. Right from the get go, after his inauguration, every step Buhari made led us to where we are.
So if the fault is from the top, what can we at the bottom who are nobodies do about it?
Their economic team needs a total overhaul. Udo Udoma has no business planning budget, Kemi Adeosun's has no business being finance minister and as for CBN governor, he is just running around, coming up with one harebrained, half thought policy after another that ends up failing and digging us into deeper mess.
Buhari is at the crown of it all. Is it coincidence that exactly what happened in 1983 is what is happening now? You should thank God that prior to his election, Nigeria had been able to self sustainably produce salt, sugar, milk, flour, cement and some other basic items or you would have been queuing for bread, milk and other basic necessities.
A president that refused to address the gross massacre of his citizens in the north and east, do you think he cares about you and me? Do you think he cares about the prosperity of Nigeria? Buhari is only there for selfish reasons.... vendetta, power and money. Take that to the bank.
BTW, we saw all this coming and warned you people but you were bamboozled with lies. Now we are in recession and the only thing that can help us is if the man at the helm of it all resigns. To criticize, you must be ready to come forth with better option(s) than what is on ground. For one to term a proposal "empty", one needs to come up with a better alternative or otherwise, shut up. The minister for budget & planning does not necessarily need to appear before senate plenary to defend the document as long as he appears before the appropriate senate committee on budget/finance! Nation building is a collective responsibility of all citizenry; your input is needed. If, however, you think it's the president's job alone, then allow the presidency do its job! At the end of a the tenure, evaluate your score card and rate the administration accordingly. Yes, I agree with you that it's no coincidence that what happened in 1983 is happening now. But the question remains:Do you know why? Because what happened before 1983 (wastefulness/corruption of Shagari's regime) also happened before the advent of this administration (wastefulness/corruption of GEJ's administration). Ask yourself why we always face this problem anytime we fail to maximize gains of oil boom? This is simple economic reality: when you fail to plan & save in time of surplus; you must be ready to surfer the challenges/pains of scarcity. We are paying the prize of monumental wastefulness! |

B4 the election, we campaigned vigorously for GEJ not because he's perfect but he's better. If the APC had provided another candidate, I would have considered the fellow but not Buhari.
Ethnic sentiment is one of the factors that got us to where we are today. Some people won't have voted GEJ for any reason. They wanted anyone but GEJ and they got it.
Under GEJ We enjoyed cheaper forex rate, cheaper pump price of PMS, cheaper price of commodities, standard of living was better. The administration had good policies that affected the economy positively just that GEJ was too lenient.
There are still some people who would vote PMB over and over again even if the economy comes to a hault, they can't afford to regret openly so they won't be laughed at.
Buhari is not fit for present day Nigeria. Period. Can you explain to us the strategies used in 1984 that are been used now? You were quick to remember that you had cheaper forex rate, cheaper fuel price etc under GEJ but curiously failed to point out that crude sold well above 100usd/barrel then! new2020: Yoruba thinking. One man business is the hallmark of Igbo entrepreneurship. We don't do shares like yoruba.
Did Innoson tell you that he needs help with money? He is going at calculated pace...he knows what he is doing! Then stop blaming those who "do shares" & partnership for the perceived stifling of Innoson. Let him move @ his "calculated pace". |

new2020: A lot of Nigerians till this day are totally oblivious of northern agenda. As soon as they saw Innoson getting media spotlight and possible patronage...cash going into SE, they met and agreed to stop this Igbo man immediately. A northern billionaire will champion the cause...Dangote. Expect Dangote vs Ibeto scenario to play out...using government connection to stifle Innoson like they did to Ibeto. One Nigeria for you!
You may ask...why do I think like this? Well from experience, it happened to Ibeto. My dear ethnicity will take us no where. Instead of applauding great innovation that will surely create more jobs & put food on Nigerians' table, you are here trivializing issues along ethnic divide. Are you telling me that there are no south easterners in Kaduna who might even benefit from this noble venture by Kaduna State government? Come to think of it, are there no billionaires in the South East? Is anybody stopping them from promoting Innoson? Show me the law banning any Igbo billionaire from investing in Innoson! Your so called "Dangot/Ibeto" saga happened under OBJ, a southerner! How come you are accusing the North now? |
