Cadillac15: You are correct in your own way though.
But consider those buying volumes. A good friend of mine in this forum sold almost 40m units of fidelity in January. Such individuals buy volumes and possess the patience of crocs when in a trade.
Now if prices drop to their loading points, do you think you would see such volumes to buy after they have all loaded their fill? You are making a great point! The people they sold to at January price will not come and be dumping it at a third of the price! For what? Some of the dumping we are experiencing now are suspicious. |

locodemy: Truely,I dont know why people are still shouting bears when other businesses are there for one to invest. Smart people who saw what will happen took away some money from stock market months ago to invest in other areas that will give returns if the market tank further.
People(like me) who left some stocks in their portfolio till now are not in need of the money. They believe in the fundamentals of the stocks they are holding and ready to average down at the best time.our economy is still ok only that election is around the corner.
Pls stop shouting bears bears.we already know this is the time of the bears or what gain will you have if you persuade people o sell their stocks at losses.
BROTHERS,GET OTHER PROFITABLE BUSINESSES DONE,MAKE YOUR MONEY AND PUT TOGETHER FOR STOCK MARKET RALLY WILL SHOW FACE AGAIN.YOU WILL MAKE IT BIG IN THE NEXT RALLY. Shouting is their calling...like the prophets of yore that shouted from the mountain tops. They will soon start shouting bull bull after they have amassed enough spoil at grave robber rate. The new song will be for them to dump at high rate and the new bear bear rendition will recommence. |

American chicken quickly coming home to roost is what I see in all this.
The world collectively is stronger than America for the first time in many decades. And America will be mercilessly dealt with economically. The raising of interest is a trap for the investors in America. Just look out for their inflation in months to come. Also expect the crash of the stock market very soon. |

swilo: Question please...
Which is a more favorable strategy from experience...?
a.) Use of stop loss or b.) averaging down
Secondly, what is a good stop loss percentage?
(the question may look naive but I ask to get honest responses based on experience) Averaging only woks if you have cash! |
