See, as a proud black man, I totally stand against racism.

But to be honest, most blacks are beginning to take it WAY TOO FAR.

Racism is when a person is abused, maltreated or insulted, due to the colour of their skin. Like the monkey chants, a banana being thrown at Alves, kneeling on the neck of Floyd by a white police e.t.c These are examples of Racism.

But the fourth official did none of those. And the players had to walk off, cos someone was called a black guy? SMH.

Isn't it normal for a black guy to refer to a group of white friends as 'my White folks'?So what's wrong in calling a black guy, a black guy.

We should be proud of our skin colour.

We should proud to be called blacks.

But we stand against any form of maltreatment, abuse or injustice against us because we are black.

#NOT ASHAMED TO BE A BLACK

It depends on what part of the continent you are and thier intention when calling you a black guy. I love my skin and am proud to be a black!...People here in western world can be mean and racist sometimes. Until you are actually in that situation outside Nigeria or Africa, you may not really understand.
I have a lots of friends back home in Naija who are found of using N and F work regularly and I never complain because they don't have ulterior motive when using those words towards me.
Most people calling you black guy here or using your skin to describe you are racist but pretending otherwise.
In my place of work here in U.S, you can't describe someone with the color of thier skin.

YOU CAN'T REALLY UNDERSTAND ANOTHER PERSON'S EXPERIENCE UNTIL YOU'VE WALKED A MILE IN THIER SHOES

Travel / Chicago Weather: You Can Get Frostbite In 5 Minutes Today And Tomorrow by Bishopp007: 1:56pm On Jan 30, 2019
As Chicagoans brace for a historic streak of subzero temperatures on Wednesday and Thursday, the National Weather Service is warning residents about how quickly frostbite can occur.

Temperatures could plummet to minus-24 degrees early Wednesday morning, with wind gusts of up to 30 miles per hour, the National Weather Service says.

Those temps can cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as five minutes, the weather service warns. Even if temperatures increase to minus-15 later Wednesday, the forecasted high, winds of 15-20 miles per hour with gusts of 30 mph mean frostbite could strike in as few as 10 minutes.

Although it could get colder Wednesday night, with predicted lows of minus-26, lower wind speeds mean you’d still risk frostbite in about 10 minutes.

Wind Chill Chart
The National Weather Service’s windchill chart shows how quickly Chicagoans can get frostbite during this week’s cold snap. | National Weather Service

Chicagoans should stay indoors and check on their neighbors for the next two days, city officials said Tuesday.

The city will open 142 public buildings and facilities in the next two days as warming centers.

She is very stupid.
A wise woman stoops to conquer, takes all the drama, embraces all the bullshhit just to become a Mrs.

Was that a good enough reason to make a fiancé an ex in this season where husbands are scarce?

I doubt she's enjoying her spinsterhood because the biggest achievement a woman can ever have is getting the 'Mrs' title.

No its not worth it. Read this article about who immigrated from South Korea as child with parents to America legally via work sponsorship. The work sponsorship did not pan out well and eventually they all lost their status. His parents returned to South Korea while eventually he became daca beneficiary. Due to all the limitations of daca and bunch of other issues, he moved to Canada as a legal immigrant.

I repeat the risk worth it 100x unless you have a very good paying job or business in naija. Under normal circumstances, must people return to their country if things doesn't work out as planned here in US. But in real life scenario some people even sell their property to buy ticket when coming to US. That's why people get stuck because they have nothing to go back home to.
Do you even know what people go through sometimes in naija before they can provide daily meal for themselves and their families?

Majority with visiting visa? Please provide links before making such blanket statement. In what they did legalize their stay? Her options to legalization in this country are very limited since has overstayed for 4 years. Even the op has mentioned that herself. Please stop with this village talk nonsense.
Oga calm down because you are the one talking nonsense. Since we are no longer qualify for visa lottery, the options of coming to stay legally in US has been limited. How many expatriates do we have from naija coming to US with working visa? Even students don't want to go back at the expiration of their Visa. I am not here to argue with anyone but look at the rate at which people are applying for visiting visa, do you think all of them want to come to US just for show. I made those comments based on my experience and interactions with people so far here in US.

I lived in Nigeria after being born abroad and lived abroad from some years and I came out just fine . In fact it helped shaped me for the better. I like America but in my opinion it’s not worth it to live here illegally.

It's not worth it only if you belong to middle/upper class level in naija but if you are struggling in naija, trust me US is your best option either legal or illegal.

I’m not being insentive, I’m being real. If people want to move to another country legally by all means they should go ahead .It’s obvious that things are not going to well for the op and she has concerns about her/children future, that’s why created the post. They are not legal here and wasting time here and waiting for the unknown it not worth it. I live here and see the stressors that both U.S citizens , legal immigrants and illegal immigrants go through . In my opinion , the op should go another country. Her and her children are still young and can start life afresh somewhere else where they can maximize their potential,it’s does not have to be Nigeria.

Which country do you want op to go to that will give her immediate legal status? Like i said earlier, majority of immigrants here today came in with just visiting visa. The 1st few years may be rough but it worth it at the long run most especially when kids are involved.
Hypocrite will tell you to leave whereas they all find way to legalized their status.
You can move to place like Chicago, Houston or New York. Work hard, save enough money, try to find a way to legalize your status and worse case scenario you get deported. By then you have enough money to start afresh when you get back to naija.
Please never go back home without exploring all available option. Do not allow your village people to win this battle. US sweet gan unless you belong to middle/upper class level in naija.

Thanks everyone for your contributions....with all the advice, I'm weighing both options to see which is best for me.
Truth is, I'm not even scared of being caught and deported at all cos the state where I am is kind of accommodating of people without documents especially when you have kids. Just trying to make my decision based on the long run; like should I keep going like this or should I just go back now that I'm not that deep deep in the system wasting my time.

I have been reading all the comments here since and i think i understand what you are going through. Trust me most of immigrants in US have all been there before. Majority of Nigerians in US today legalized their stay in one way or another and this same set of people will be telling you to go home.
The question is what do you have back home to go to that will not make you to endure right now in order to secue you children future?
I don't know what State you are in right now but there is always a way even where seems to be no way.
I known people who are making more than $3k monthly here in US without the so called paper. It depends on the State, city, neighborhood and most especially your hustling spirit. The best gift you can give to your children right now is allow them learn and grow into the system here in US. Not everyone in high school and college are here legally.
I can only advise you move back to naija if you have enough savings like #10m already.

There is always an exception to every rule!

May God almighty continue to bless your hustle, may you not labor in vain.

Firstly, you are wrong about Van Dyke case.

Secondly, it's a pity that systems are designed everywhere to protect police including Naija.

Thirdly, despite i never support police brutality, most of these guys always put themselves in arms way by evading arrest and cursing police officer armed with guns.

Note: Back African-Americans killed themselves every day in gang related war but nobody will mention it. All they keep on saying is "BLACK LIVES MATTER"

I don't know how you arrived at your conclusion but you are 100% wrong about black immigrat vs police. Infact black immigrant stand a better chance to survive against police brutality than black African-American because they don't see us as a threat.
Tell us how many black immigrant have been killed by police compare to black African-Americans.

Yankee101:
I drive past USA military formation convoys on the road everytime. Sometimes they even wave as you overtake. They never harass anyone. And people love them. You give preference, discounts, freebies, good seats and respect to veterans.

The only time you don't overtake here is a hearse convoy out of your respect for the dead.

Now the Nigerian soldier loves to break the law, beat up police men, burn police stations, harass civilians, enforce civil disputes between neighbours, extra-judicial killings and wonder why no one feels too much pity when their officers f*uck each other's wives when they go to war, not taken as a priority when their pension is delayed, say nothing about internal corruption and don't mourn for long when they get killed by boko haram.

Respect is earned. I understand part of their training involves them brutralizing each other, which makes them mean, but if you can't respect your citizen then you won't get their respect. And trust me it's sweet to be a soldier in the United States. You get free stuff, sponsored university education, accelerated citizenship (naija boys, listen oh ye in code!), cheaper loans and everyday goods and services are discounted. Even in death. While planes are delayed, passengers all rise until your coffin is secured in place and your widow is seated. And everywhere you go in uniform you hear 'Thank you for your service.' It's a beautiful feeling.

You are so wrong because you failed to watch the video before you jump into conclusion. This is not just a military vehicle but a mobile police convoy escorting CBN money with siren on.
Here in USA, people park or wait for police or ambulance with siren on to pass not to talk of overtaking them. You can on proceed if you are already at intersection.
Can you pass police or military personnel with siren on in USA. ?

They should be given priority? Such entittlement mentality. Unless they are on essential duty, they do not deserve priority status. It is this abuse I am speaking out against. Every uniformed person now hides under this canopy to disrupt d lives of law abiding citizens.

What if d driver was ashmatic and they used pepper spray on him? What if that person was ur father or relative, and he suffered an attack and died? Would u still be have d same opinion?

In a sane country, everyone park or wait for them to pass.

I missed Naija thou.... Naija is a country you can do anything you like if you have small change in your pocket and nobody will challenge you. Naija only good for Faaji and oshofree if you are the type.

Once you are living outside Naija, you get to charge your phone any time you want coz no power failure, you have access to basic amenities most importantly emergency response.

Imagine i called 311 last week, my friend's wife could not climb the staircase to her apartment on 3rd floor because of pain from childbirth. CFD showed up 5mins later just because it's non- emergency and helped with a wheelchair and stretcher.

Certified don’t mean crap , look at the recalls that Toyota had. I know what certified cars are. Also Mercedes and bmw also put certified on cars that are loaners. All I’m saying , if you are an individual that can afford it( interest rates tend to be lower in new plus they plan to drive it for a long time then nothing with new cars.

It's one of the best feelings ever to buy a new car because i have driven one before but majority of companies out there doesn't offer gap insurance which put you upside down on your loan immediately you purchase new car. This is my day to day activities and i have seen 100+ people who are in debt just because they wanna drive new car.
Even if your car loan is 0%, it's automatic upside down on your loan unless you have gap insurance.
