FoodRe: How Popular Is Zobo Drink? by Bisiriyu: 9:03am On Jul 13, 2006
desiree:
What is Zobo, what does it look like and made from?? huh
You guys make it sound sooo interesting and nutritious.
Where can i get it?
Zobo is a local Nigerian drink from the northern part of Nigeria. It looks like chapman and it's made from dry leaves called zobo leaves.

It's really nutritious especially when it's flavoured with fresh pineapple juice.

It depends on where you are. It's a very popular drink all over Nigeria.

@omo07. wara is not made from a plant, it's made for cow milk.

Wara is highly nutritious. I prefer it fried and soaked in stew i.e like meat. It brings out its nutritious taste. Try it.

Your mixture should be in your pan ready to be put in the oven.  If you sprinkle the fruit on your mixture at that time it will never sink. Try it.

Your uncle has been honest thus far. it is by virtue of his position in the company that he is being rewarded its not for purchasing his own personal car. I ADVICE THAT FOR TRANSPARENCY AND HONESTY he should inform his boss about the development.

Christianity EtcRe: To Tithe or Not to Tithe? by Bisiriyu: 12:39pm On Apr 27, 2006
Dont see tithing as a religious obligation. The tithe u pay if for ur own upliftment. God gave u for example $100 and u 're required to pay only $10 as tithe. Is it too much?

In the 1st instance the source of the $100 is God. However u got it is only a means he used. When u give him 10% of what he has given to u he multiplies that 10% and opens doors for u. Apart from financial blessings u'll enjoy God's favour every where u go.

If u're not a tither try tithing from today. The tithes u pay should be 10% of whatever u receive as income and should be given willing and joyfully and see what the lord will do.

The moment u start u'll never stop because u'll enjoy God's favour.

FoodRe: How To Prepare Gbegiri Soup by Bisiriyu: 11:45am On Apr 06, 2006
There are various methods of preparing fried rice and all if properly prepared bring out a mouth watering delicacy. This is my own method. The quantity of ingredients to be used depends on the quantity of rice you're preparing. Your green pepper, green peas, carrots, liver should be cut into small pieces.

INGREDIENTS FOR FRIED RICE

Rice
Green pepper
Green peas
Diced carrots
Diced liver
Margarine or vegetable oil
Curry powder
Knorr cubes
Salt to taste
Meat or chicken stock
Green beans

METHOD

Wash your rice and boil in the meat or chicken stock. You can use water if stock is not available.

Put little salt in the rice.

On the other side of your gas, put a dry pan on fire on a very low heat.

Melt some margarine or a small quantity of oil in the pan.

Put all the ingredients listed above except your rice, seasoning and meat stock.

Put some salt and knorr cubes to taste.

By now your rice will be ready. Your rice must not be too soft i.e mashy.

Pour the mixture in the pot containing the rice and steam for five minutes.

At this point you can stir and leave for two minutes.

Check your seasoning and adjust if necessary.

Remove the pot from fire, your fried rice is ready.

FoodRe: How Popular Is Zobo Drink? by Bisiriyu: 1:20pm On Mar 30, 2006
Zobo is a nice drink and it's easy to prepare as hot angel described it. I dont wash the leaves, i boil the leaves on fire.

In addition to the ingredients she mentioned you can peel pineapple, pound it and soak it in the zobo. Some even wash the back of the pineapple before peeling and soak it with it.

It's really nutritious, try it.
