PoliticsRe: 'God Don't Let Me Grow If I Make Odili To Cry' - Wike (Throwback) by bixton(m): 4:22pm On Jan 13
doneyor:
The Rivers political crisis is driven by the fallout between FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and Governor Siminalayi Fubara, whom Wike accuses of betrayal. The conflict has also damaged Wike’s once-close relationship with former governor Dr. Peter Odili, despite Wike’s past public vow never to hurt Odili or his family.

The throwback video below captures the moment Wike publicly vowed that God should never allow him to grow if he ever caused Dr. Peter Odili or his family cry.

Watch the video below

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLDNeMkLXbg?si=CDPJrmbhwJwUeauL
As at when this statement was made by Wike and as at when he became State governor, can the Odili family say that he made them to cry or are we to say that this comment is going to be forever and forever...!!!!!

I keep wondering why anyone would be bringing up such videos except maybe for the gullible minds....

Only in a despotic country in the making will opposition be frowned upon. Treacherous Tinubu betrayed Elrufai after working hard to deliver him as president and is about to do same to Wike. But make no mistakes, Tinubu is a one-term president.
How did PBAT betray El Rufai?
Someone whose atrocities against the Southern Kaduna people is known by all and not hidden!!! So because he helped PBAT become president, the petitions against him from that section of the country should be thrown into the dustbin?
You lots are trying very well....

I had expected El Rufai, even when he said he doesn't need a ministerial appointment and though PBAT appealed to him, why did he not recommend someone to take his place even if it would be his son taking on a junior ministerial appointment!!!!!

It might be possible for PBAT to be a one term of PO wins the ADC presidential primaries and is given the presidential ticket for the party...

Any other thing than that is a waste of time.

It may sound like a joke to you since you aren't Igbo.

An Igbo elite analyzed this on a national dailies some weeks back, he narrated how the British colonial masters built the Nigerian system to favor Hausas more because they had a simplified, central governing system through the Emirs, and the Yorubas had the Obas while the Igbos had no centralized leadership to make it easier for the British colonial masters to govern Easterners.....who operated family and clan type of leadership unlike the Hausas and the Yorubas. That was why despite Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe being the most learned and the closest to the colonial masters, whose father also worked as the interpreter of the colonial masters was schemed out of federal power and made Governor General while Prime Minister Belewa commanded more power but under the colonial masters, Governor General had the greatest power but as they handed over to Nigerians, they schemed Zik out and made sure power remained in the hands of Hausas whom they believed would be more loyal to them after they are gone.

Fast-forward to after the civil war in 1970, the Hausa-Fulanis that took over control of the Nigerian government and military, made sure Igbos were cut to size to discourage them from ever seeking for secession from Nigeria again....this led to balkanization of Igbo communities and creating identity crises between Southeast Igbos and Southsouth Igbos that still exist to date.

Etchie an Igbo-speaking oil-rich community in today's Rivers State used to be part of Imo state.....they were carefully carved out of Imo State by the Hausa-Fulani/Yoruba led Military heads of state after the war......Etchie and Ohaji Egbema people of Imo state are the same people.....you need to visit there and see the tiny road they created to separate them just to make sure they are removed from Imo state.....I have been there several times during an NDDC project some years back....I cried....and they both know they are brothers but divided by federal government.

Its a long story....don't act like you don't know all these things, you do....but if you pretend not to know, no problem my brother.....its well, time and nature will definitely settle these issues
All these stories are just to feed the gullible minds and those who don't and cant think for themselves even though they believe they do.

You say the Igbos don't like Azikiwe for what he did and liked Awolowo ...

Since you're Igbo...

Please can you explain to us the origin of the Osu Caste system and why would an Igbo man sell his own brother as a slave to a stranger and mark his skin ?
Was that as a result of the colonists?

Lost a cousin some years ago
Over six million he had in a bank got trapped there.
He wasn't married, his next of kin was his mom, his mom died few years before him.
He didn't bother to change the next of kin.

His brothers tried to retrieve the money to no avail.
The bank did everything to frustrate them....

Most bankers are rogues
6 million naira 5 years ago is like 15 Milla now.
It is not the banks fault.
Why would he not change the next of kin when the person passed away. There's always room for bank update anytime a customer needs such. The brothers have no right going to the bank whatsoever to claim such money. They only succeeded in informing the bank of the death of their brother...

Nevertheless, there's a misconception about next of kin when it comes to bank and money. Next of kin is actually the person that can be easily reached in case of there's an issue.

If anyone wants a loved one be able to get their funds in case they die, they should request for the form called "pay upon death"(POD) form and fill it accordingly.
Banks don't actually tell this except you ask for it.

Politicstoday:
Wike vs His Ambition

I read that Fubara has traveled to France to meet with Tinubu. Good. But I doubt if there will be a public showdown between the presidency and Wike.

Tinubu may not speak publicly about the Rivers crisis again because he is not someone who talks a lot unlike the parrot in Rivers, who boasts and issues threats over every move he makes.

Tinubu went out of his way to intervene once and took sides with Wike suspending the governor for 6 months, yet Wike is still attempting to disrupt events and cause endless chaos.

Tinubu understands something critical that if Wike, who is neither president nor someone with Tinubu’s political structure or reach, succeeds in impeaching Fubara, he will become larger than life, and with access to the Rivers treasury, Wike could amass enormous power and eventually pose a threat to Tinubu himself.

We saw a glimpse of this in 2023, when Wike bought off PDP delegates, until those who understood the political chessboard countered him by merging Atiku and Tambuwal’s delegates for Atiku. Tinubu witnessed all of this and knows exactly the kind of political force Wike can become when backed by money.

For this reason, Tinubu will maintain his silence, but he will cut Wike down to size by ensuring he no longer has easy access to funds. At the federal level, Wike no longer controls money the way he once did. What remains is access to Rivers' treasury, because if he loses that, his ambition to be VP or President is dead. So, this is about survival for Wike. And he will rather die than have what will buy him power taken away from him.

The Rivers crisis is about one man's ambition to control Rivers and forcefully be your VP or President in the future. Wike should be resisted.
You have tried in your assertion but you spoke on short term limits.

Wike is on it for the long term irrespective of what happens.

The question to ask yourself, do you think after PBAT tenure, there's anyone in APC that will bring out funds generously offered to the right people in the various States to ensure they come out victorious in the elections after PBAT?

Age will not be on PBAT sides if he completes the second tenure and hands over to his choice candidate from the North.

This game is way beyond even what we are all thinking and analyzing.

Then we are in the same page ....is a matter of interest not even for the people of Rivers but for their own pockets so they only align with him if he does their bidden and screams impeachment if he fails to do their bidding.....

But am happy there is nothing like god father whatever in Anambra State now, and you can see how the State is recording great achievements and transparency...
With or without godfather, a State can getting meaningful development and achievements of the State governor knows what he is doing.

Many Nigerian State governors lack knowledge of creating wealth. If you without FACC from many States in Nigeria for three months then you'll know that many governors have nothing in their heads irrespective of their credentials.

So if Wike pick him and he had no interest in the first place, why did he betray Wike within the first 6months or so?

He is an ingrate. He is also power drunk to believe he can govern the state without the elected house of assembly members. Disloyal people like that deserve anything their eyes see.

If he is not interested in becoming governor, then he should just resign and step down.

Lastly, if you don’t need godfathers, win election on your own. Adeleke in Osun had no godfather then and he won. There are governors like that across the country.
I can't but smile when he made a comment that caused Akpabio to tell him that early time to.resign if there's no money there and people say Akpabio insulted him.

I keep wondering what he must be thinking when he said people shouldn't fight for him that they are causing him more trouble and that if they don't know if his spirit has left the governor house.....

All that he did while still fighting in PDP, he has brought into the APC and still bringing more...

It will be so unfortunate that he may never come out to say why he would not have to keep all the agreements he agreed to because I don't see any form of duress but a desire for something he alone can tell .....
