chatinent: Should clergymen be affiliated with politics?
Clearly, that God you serve loves blood, genocide, forgery, illegality, evil and corruption.
That God is worse than the same devil meant to be the enemy.
Since the APC is solace, my good prayer for all APC supporters is "may every APC policy you support befall you and your family in every way...I mean in every way."
You should say nothing other than "amen."
Credibilityless Reverend Father.
Is there any place written in the Holy Bible that the clergy(is a wide range of church officials) should not involved in politics....?
Note that once someone says or ever mentions that the Lord called him to pastoral work then such can't hold any other office apart from the one God called him to. Any deviation then that person's religion and belief should be questioned.
Many of the people putting up comments are speaking from the point of their being indoctrinated which in some instances has no true scriptural backing and lacking in true knowledge, understanding and proper interpretation of the gospel of Christ Jesus.
It's a pity that many still hold on to the doctrines of men passed down rather than that which is of God given by His Spirit.
Exousiang01: Read ... read Nigga Read... The chairman resign due to an illness and Obasa son who was the Vice chairman took over in acting capacity....
Just like when a corrupt government is taken to court and the individual suddenly starts wearing neck and hand braces and sitting in wheel chair for court sessions.
jossymekoos: It pains me that people still talk about water baptism Bible said that He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit......
Water baptism was a physical symbolic representation that we will receive the Holy Spirit That Jesus did water baptism doesn't mean we should Jesus lived in another dispensation different from the one he opened after his death and resurrection
Water baptism whether immersion or sprinkling, whether adult or children is NULL AND VOID
Water sprinkling is not water baptism.
The below verses .....
Matt.28.19 - Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Mark.16.15 - And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark.16.16 - He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
Acts.2.38 - Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts.2.39 - For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call." Acts.2.40 - And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, "Be saved from this perverse generation." Acts.2.41 - Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.
gohf: As many around the world celebrate a festive season they believe to be the birth of Christ Jesus, who later at around 30yr of age got water baptized by his cousin, John the Baptist, we try to consider what appropriate age is right for water baptism if it is required at all.
On the subject of age, of all those recorded baptisims in the new testament only the age of Jesus was mentioned.
I have heard some argue that if a child wasn't baptized or holy water didn't touch the child, if the child died they would go to hell. While I have also heard some others say no to child water baptism, and among them some claim a certain age where it doesn't matter what they do they are innocent before God and as such if they die they go "back to their maker".
I believe the whole purpose of water baptism was to reveal who the anointed son of God is and that's why Jesus went to fulfill and do what was right and was revealed as God's son in whom God's well pleased. Shortly after Jesus's baptism, John gets arrested and beheaded. Now some may say John's disciples and those of Jesus baptized with water but Jesus didn't do so.
Jesus does baptize us but with the living water, the Holy Spirit. So I like Paul believe in this baptism and not water baptism, which nullifies the argument of if a new born or toddler or children of certain age bracket should be deeped into water or not. Though children are not innocent as many of them lie, steal and do a lot of wrong things mainly out of ignorance. I doubt John the Baptist deeped them into the Jordan River, well maybe he did, as it won't kill even an infant to be deeped into water but the whole purpose of that baptism was a symbol that those who went to John were repenting from their sins and forsaking their past lives. It's also possible that the household baptisms mentioned in acts were not water nor involved deeping little children into water.
What do you think should your child be deeped into water to receive salvation or not?
If one possess the right understanding of Scripture as it is written the that individual knows that child baptism is not of God and it's not in any way a means to receive SALVATION.
SALVATION, can only be received by one who has heard and willingly accepted the WORD of God and make confession of JESUS as LORD.
This is all what the Scripture says on baptist from the below verses......
NB: If one's beliefs and understanding of the WORD of God contradicts what God has said then it is no longer of God but either sensual or demonic.
This ACF can't be speaking for the entire North when the only part they claim to be marginalized is the North East out of all the other Northern regions. Moreso they are just concerned about monies earmarked with figures and comparing to other regions knowing fully well that even if it's same projects, it can't be same amount...
If it's because of the import license given out that is making Dangote do a more reduction in prices of PMS then the issue of import license is a good thing for all end users. After all every one needs cheaper fuel at the end of the day. It's all business.
Dogalmighty17: Accusations and counter accusations. We must remember though that the NMDPRA boss started off this fight when he baselessly claimed that dangote refinery fuel was substandard and had failed to meet critical performance parameters. On that basis alone, he should have been sacked.
If he should be sacked then Dangote should be sanctioned and made to pay a fine.
The recent fall in petrol price by the Dangote refinery is as a result of what?
We have not heard any significant changes in the international markets. Do you not think Dangote is trying to play fast smart by half while feeding Nigerias with the usual half truths!!!!
bigpicture001: Farouk is bent in killing Dangote's refinery.. by granting even more licenses to fuel importers with the disguise for effective anti monopoly, whilst also getting kickbacks from those license holders...
Dangote is furious with him and decided to fight dirty
Please how is Farouk going to kill Dangote's refinery? What has giving import licenses to fuel importers going to kill Dangote's business when end users have a chioce to buy from anyone.....!!!
Do you know those agberos who stand along the road side where motor come to pick passengers and the agberos collect money from each driver for doing nothing but just directing passengers to enter each vehicle.... That's what Dangote is doing and crying foul.
bdon123: I Yes he did reduce d price to corner sympathy. That is business.however is wat he said tru or not?Is d refinery vital to our economy or not?do we want to stop his refinery business knowing how mch in tax he brings in?dont forget d more interest dangote refinery rakes in ..d more tax FG collects.
Half truth is no truth. Whatever tax Dangote purportly pays, is been transfered to the end users whenever they rely on the products of the refinery.
Jakpon: This is the crux of the matter. The textile industry cannot be revived without banning the importation of textiles from china.
The problem therein is that those who are mostly into this import business that actually k!lls local production are people from the Governors region. They would be the first persons to start crying about marginalisation jf the FG attempts to ban import of cheap textiles from Asia
... cheap textile doesn't mean it's of low quality.
FOLYKAZE: Dangote reduced his price to corner the people, their sympathy and every other things to himself. He then systematically attack NMDPRA, choosing the head, Farouk, for his hits. This guy is simply playing a kind of resistance as it is played out in the movie Money Heist. (simply make the established system the villain, give the populace some goodies to earn their sympathy, then direct them to destroy the enemy, the establishment). In this case NMDPRA which gave licence out to importers to scout refined products from Russia is the establishment. The question is that why should Dangote lose sleep if anyone choose to import their productd and sell at lose? Why should Dangote cry if importers chose to import and spill their products all over the sea?
Another question people fail to ask, what magic happened now that made Dangote reduce the price of his product? Has crude oil price in the international market crashed? Did FG waived import duties or the shipping cost suddenly reduced? All along, Dangote is manipulating the market selling exhorbitantly to Nigerians and now that he sees some guys ar going out to bring in fuel which could compete with him, he panicked, rush and reduced price, and now attacking NMDPRA for issuing licence for importation. What he has been doing is profiteering which is a crime.
Nigeria should wise up, the Greek gift and sudden Santa gifting from Dangote is to weed out competition. And the importers are here to stay. If they can get fuel at a reduced price from anywhere, they should be allowed to do it.
There are not many of you in Nigeria who think for themselves logically without sentiments and emotions. Yoi have done well and seen it Many thanks.
Wetin concern program done in a remote place in Nigeria and cocky arrogance of Nigerians in London !!!!!
How can leadership say they can't afford to fail Nigerians or the black race when it actual sense they have already been long time ago in failing mode and don't know how to make things be better.....
It has been God through Christ Jesus and Nigerians are hardworking and persevere, things for be as e get!!!!!
Just some childish talk. What kind of development favours does the State governors in opposition(PDP and others) need to get from that ruling party(APC) that will make them jump ship even when it's obvious that with their monthly FACC as IGR they don't even do anything!!!?
Who is the joke on ? This has nothing to do with development in the States but the people jumping ship....
Is it not funny that the Deputy Governor slumped and he was taken to the State FMC.....I begin to wonder when last did the Deputy Governor go to the FMC for even check up!??
What happened to the Bayelsa State House Clinic ?
This death is nothing more than induced, be it physical, emotional or spiritual. There's nothing hidden and not for long.
AlphaBoy: Nairaland, abeg help me judge this matter because I no wan deceive myself.
There’s this female friend of mine in school. We read together, buy snacks for each other, gist, and I usually walk her home after night class. Cool friendship, nothing serious… or so I thought.
But recently, she has been acting somehow: One day she told me she feels blessed to have me and even called me her role model. Anytime we finish reading late, she insists I must walk her home.
One night, she pointed at a bus stop and said she once saw a couple kissing there. Then she faced me and dropped this line: “It’s you that don’t want to love.”
If I ghost her small, na she go enter my DM first like, “You no wan talk to me again?” And one day she directly asked me: “Why are you running from me?”
Make una no forget — I liked her initially but didn't want to push it yet , I don’t know if she’s catching feelings.
So nairalanders, make una talk true: This girl like me abi she just dey whine me? Or na me dey overthink am?
You dey actually overthink. Focus on your academics, focus on your good relationship with her and let it remain the way it is and nothing else. Give your life to God through Christ Jesus and let her do same and worship Him in truth and in spirit.
Say a strong NO to premarital sex and any of its side attractions.
