Deustchemann: Okay, a solution here can be to 1. Cancel and rebook 2. Mail your course coordinator to confirm to you that you can resume in November and catch up on the courses you've missed lectures on. If this mail is sent to you, print it and take it with your enrolment Certificate to your interview. I believe your visa will be processed.
Plan B 1. Defer your admission to summer. Thanks Deustchemann I have to take a step to cancel and rebook. I heard Paulinus is now turning people back that are under the wrong category. I have a 2:2 which means I will no have to book under category B? I don't think it will be wise to book under CAT A again while Paulinus is turning people back? or what do you advise. I also plan on using November ending as Deadline for Arrival, I hope that won't be too far? And will it favor category B? Any successful category B here can you advice on modalities |

Deustchemann: I believe if you booked category A before they removed second class lower from the list, and you have a date, don't cancel it. If the VO asks, tell him/her that you booked before the criteria was reviewed. I hope you've gotten a date now? I haven't gotten a date yet. It's really depressing. I can't risk cancelling and rebooking.. And from Trends I've observed, the AD dates keeps going further.. Now I'm enrolled as my school allows to enroll online.. I don't just know what to do.. Lectures start Oct 1. |

donkafor: Talking about deferment in July is still very early. There is still enough time and dates might still be available. Also, school starting September or October doesn't mean you must be in Germany on the said date. My school started October but I arrived Germany in November. Some of my friends arrived December and few January.
I will advise people to enroll online if your school allows that. Even if they don't, plead to be allowed for online enrollment. Once you're enrolled, you'll have access to course materials online and you can study from Nigeria. Also, embassy will come out with another strategy of who passed his or her enrollment deadline. Once, you're enrolled you're already a student and embassy can issue you visa anytime and you won't be caught up by the pressure of enrollment deadline.
I wish everyone good luck See ehn the kind of blessing God's has in stock for this honest piece of advice dey make devil shiver. The blessing go loud like say Trump enter Oshodi.. Infact you don't know the impact this your little comment has made. Thank you for this piece... |

Chriswazo: Having a blocking confirmation does not save you if the embassy starts requesting for it. They normally specify the required amount in your AM, it has always been 8640, I guessed later, AM's will carry 10236 or so and you wouldn't send 8640 to them then. The block confirmation itself states the amount u blocked Oh okay, thanks |

sassy92: No what he's trying to say is if you don't get AD, you can't get visa, which means you won't go to DE yet. You'll have to ask Fintiba for your money back and that's a tedious process. So it's best to wait until you have AD that allows you to meet up with your enrolment deadline before funding your BA. Please and Please those awaiting AD wait until you get a date before funding your account There are two sides to it. I got a blocking confirmation of 8,640. Now the thing has changed to 10,236 and they won't release a blocking confirmation less this amount. Even though in Nigeria it has not taken effect yet. Explaining that to Fintiba is another thing. Anyway, its all about AD and my testimony is. On the way. |

Unless, you don't mind leaving it there till SuSe2020/ WiSe2020; if by chance you fail to get AD. Worse case scenario (that's the general assumption) I will testify. Infact, this makes it more interesting to read. At this point, obviously, God is in control |

Chriswazo: brother, it has been advised here severally to block account only if u have AD already, don't go and risk your money. I prefer people Block their account when they have gotten AM or had crossed two weeks after their visa interview. I don't understand, are you trying to say if I'm not giving AD. I will loose my money? |

Westahorf10: How will beneficiary bear the charges? Won't it short the 8829 euros? You're to pay €8640. Others are charges which they clearly stated.... Making it the €8,829. |
Travel › Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by bjayNL: 7:04am On Jul 18, 2019 |
heybaby12: Fintiba wrote it that you should make sure you bear all the charges. Pray they send you confirmation (if they take from your buffer)if not you would spend same amount sending the €40. LOL, I got confirmation even before the school sent theirs. This is thier instruction The “Amount to transfer“ (total amount + initial fee + EUR 100,00) contains a buffer deposit of EUR 100,00. This is a measure to issue your blocking confirmation quickly and avoid inconveniences from potential deductions of fees for international money transfers by intermediary banks. A detailed calculation of the "Amount to Transfer" is provided on the next page for your convenience. The buffer is NOT a Fintiba fee - you'll receive the (remaining) amount from the buffer deposit with your first payout! I specifically put BEN bear charges the €100 covers it... I've got my confirmation |

Travel › Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by bjayNL: 8:40pm On Jul 14, 2019 |
Adhheir: Not advisable ma'am/Sir. You can fund your BA when you have your AD. I know of two methods;
1. Open a domiciliary euro account at your bank, meet with an aboki with the intent to buy the needed amount; take the aboki to your bank with the agreed euros. The bank verifies the authenticity of his euros, you transfer the naira equivalent to him and he pays this verified euros into your domiciliary account, give the bank written instructions to transfer from your Dom account to your blocked account. It should reflect in your blocked account in two to three days, print the confirmation and forward to the embassy (or take it with you for your interview as the case may be). GTB, Access bank, Zenith bank, first bank and sterling bank (these are the ones that I've seen people use) all offer this service at different costs.
2. If you have someone very trustworthy in Germany (family most preferred) and they have euros or know someone that has and are ready to exchange for naira. Agree upon an exchange rate, send the naira to their Nigerian account and they'll forward the euros to your BA. Be 1000% sure they won't elope with your funds. Its easier and faster this way. But then, the risk is higher.
Do not fund until you're sure you have an AD and your AD should be at least three weeks before your enrollment deadline.
Vielen grüße I have funded without AD, infact before applying for the Visa I wanted all documents set and ready... I hope I'm safe? |
