Politics › Re: Fire Pantami Now - The Nation's Editorial by bjtinz: 7:04pm On Apr 26, 2021
Hmm. Interesting. The Nation has showed some balls here.

It's impossible to see how such a weighty piece would bypass Tinubu's approval - even if tacit.

I recall during the Madam Awolowo vs Omasteye saga when the latter had penned a blistering attack against tbe octagenarian.

Almost all angry responses were targeted at Tinubu, and mind you, that was an opinion piece by Omasteye.

So in this case which is even the editorial, ie the official position of the newspaper - if not Tinubu media organization as a whole - it's impossible for the acclaimed APC leader to claim ignorance.

800,000 is a conservative figure being dished out by the Benue state government. The number is more than a million people in IDP camps in Benue state. The population of Benua state is 2.8 million and you have about half of them in IDP camps, yet some undiluted idiots are mouthing "one nigeria" Thunder will fire all you "one nigerianists"
Lol. I'm not holding brief for the govt or killer herdsmen, but honestly guys should tone down the exaggerations, nay outright lies.

After stealing credit for projects starts and almost completed by previous administrations, why don't you thank him for the MMIA airport, Lagos, the Cocoa house Ibadan, and First Niger bridge?
Oh, don't forget how Baba built the Kainji dam, Yankari games reserve too!
eagleu:
Sickening!
Only reason why Buhari is fighting for credit for projects he didn't start is probably that he actually has none to his name.
Government projects by media propaganda.
Abeg which projects 'almost completeed?' Stop telling weak lies.

Is it the Enugu Onitsha road, perhaps one of the most strategic in SE that was in complete ruins? The Umuya portion that was a nightmare for travellers, but it took the current govt to repair it.

Look I will be the last person to support administration which area believe has failed phenomenally in areas like security and jobs.

HOWEVER, the area of infrastructure, particularly roads, you cannot but give a pass mark, considering the lean resources they are working with.

I'm currently seeing the progress on the Makurdi-lafia- Abuja road, and it's been quite impressive.

It is a pity that graduates are subjected to this inhuman treatment. But as a graduate you stoop so low to collect 15k as Salary then you did not pass through school. Some market women are making more than that in a week. use your God given talent to Package something no matter how small. the sky will be your limit. The difficult thing is to start. after that the sky the limit
I totally agree with you this. No matter how difficult, 15k for a graduate is ridiculous.

Incredible as it sounds, there are people, some even parents wirh children earnings 15-20k/month.

I truly wonder how they are able to make it. . . . sad

All businesses that all you do is to speculate are the same. Examples: stock trading, sports betting, Forex trading, binary options, crypto currencies. They are all the same, nothing different. Just a change of name.

Speculation is simply prediction.

It's stupidity to call sports betting gambling and Forex trading an investment.

Gambling is 'risking money to make more money.' Same 'risking money' people do when trading Forex.

Forex is bet9ja in disguise!

What happened in Benue state, remain totally condemned and I pray that the soul of the innocent soldiers should rest in perfect peace amen. Meanwhile I also condemn, the notorious way in which the military usually react anytime their personnels are being killed, by attacking and killing innocent villagers where the incident happened. Such action is barbaric and uncalled for, because there is no way that, those behind such evil act will remain in that village waiting for the military to come and get them arrested. So by attacking anybody you see in those villages is an attack on innocents.
True

At least we are on the same page.my own argument is that they were killed by Benue people not bandits or herdsmen or boko as some are trying to allege.if you analyse the attack,it looks planned and premeditated.it could be a reprisal from gana's boys and konshisha was one of their domains...
But I dont agree that gana was wrongly killed.it's like saying Osama or don wanny was wrongly killed.he who lives by the swordhuh?
I don't think this has anything to do with Gana.

Gana boys are based in Sankera axis (katsina Ala, ukum) not konshisha, and indeed unrestrained killings, arson, kidnapping have been going on particularly Donga, and Sai areas.

The killing of soldiers was likely by Bonta locals who were originally after the Igedes. The suspicion news that soldiers were supporting the Igedes
