If he is not lying on this it means you all are liers claiming there was a genocide during the civil war, or which narrative should we believe yamrees?

You all keep shooting yourselves in the foot.
Yes there was a genocide because while the Biafran forces were busy decimating Nigerian soldiers on the other hand the federal troops were busy hunting civilians like they do today (bunch of cowards).
One thing you guys like is mental buoyancy just like ipob is playing with you people like toys.
Nigeria is already losing most of her important allies as she is now seen as an islamist country. once ipob is through with Nigeria, even vigilantee boys can take out the remaining army.
Welcome to 21st century where media rules

Why is it that those that criticize Biafra and Ipob are neither from south east nor south south?
This is more reason why an average Igbo man sees Biafra as a just cause because your enemy can never support you when are getting it right. They criticize and die of hatred.
Thank you Nairaland ethnic bigots, you have successfully United Ndigbo under one cause with all these hate

PoliticsRe: South Was Merged Becos Lugard Knew The North Was Poor by Bkayyy: 7:46am On Nov 02, 2020
North has always been poor since the days of mertusala.
Even with stolen money from the south these days, they still manage to remain poor because God created them to be poor.
You can't run away from your destiny

You people are here texting nonsense forgetting the news of an Nsukka indigene that was stabbed yesterday.
Whatever happened to those Muslims and their mosque must be reprisal from the stabbing of an innocent Nsukka man by an hausa lady/man

Did you post high or low-density area of Onitsha? You can argue with yourself.

Again, i don't measure d*cks with touts. Onitsha has its advantages, however, lack of city planning and a culture of tree planting especially in the high-density areas makes its beauty very difficult to see. Same with Aba. But Aba is doubly inflicted with lack of proper waste management too.

Please post your port-Harcourt distracting pics. We are here to enjoy Enugu pics in this thread, so we skip over distracting posts here. In Port Harcourt thread, we will likewise skip Enugu pictures posted there to distract us from enjoying the developments in Port Harcourt.

Bottom line, jealousy is a disease. What i love most is that none of you can change anything by denying the fact about what Enugu has managed to become despite the oppression it faced in Nigeria. It would be a better use of your time if you imbibe the best practices here to implore your governor to develop your state, than always a culture of jealousy and pull him down syndrome of Nigerians.
No my brother, Onitsha has good city planning. Don't judge onitsha from what you see in upper Iweka which is even a boundary between three communities Infact or Ochanja, bida road and main market (all those places are part of an "open" market which we all know the risks it carry) and all these few spots I mentioned are not even up to 1 percent of the city, just bus stops.
If you want to judge onitsha, start from Venn road south and see the beauty of the city.

My brother, detest poverty so it can flee on its own.
This is the same problem I have with flavour, Phyno and Nollywood. When they want to shoot a video in a city, they will waste all their time looking for slums to shoot in because they know Nigerians like slums and poverty

don't say that again. ph is more beautiful than Enugu. Enugu as old as it is.,doesn't even have over pass fly over . Even awka and abakiliki of yesterday is overtaking Enugu. It's really shameful
Fly over is not the hallmark of development.
Serenity I think is the most important following access to basic amenities which I believe Enugu city scores A1 in these aspects.
Can such be said about ph?
Serenity, pH scores almost zero because of high rate of pollution these days which I cant tell where they are coming from.
PH scores high in basic amenities but traffic won't allow you to gain access to them which is the reason for all these fly overs.
Mind you, I'm from Anambra which I think might be the reason why fly overs are no big deal in my eyes because we play with such down here.
Enugu does not have traffic issues to make them to be looking for fly overs.

RuudVanNisteroy:
Port Harcourt with all the billions received from oil revenue since 1999 should be rivaling Cape Town,Windhoek, and Johanessburg. Majority of the money that should be used for development is sitting in politicians and their fronts accounts.
Anytime I'm in PH I pity Rivers state as a whole, to think that she is the only livable place in the entire state.
I think the main problem with Rivers state is their over ethnic consciousness. For example, an average ikwerre man cares less even if other parts of Ikwerre land is not developed so far a fellow ikwerre man is in power. Oyigbo man doesn't just give a Bleep as an Ogoni and okirika doesn't smell the government seat even if it means no attention in their land with the ikwerre led government.
The easiest way to know that you are in Rivers state or portharcourt is the constant affirmation of your ethnicity by locals.
You speak, they will affirm your tribe. You sit, same. You eat, same.
They are too ethnic conscious

Thanks for calming him down. I believe we should give space for other states to air their view on there own states not going front and back in communal clash involving two brothers that doesn't hold candle in the state politics.
Infact no clan or community has even ruled Anambra state twice.
Down here we have no dominant group.

But there is tension in the two communities with both sides holding meetings to strategise on ways to handle the delicate matter to avoid a repeat of the Aguleri-Umuleri war of 1998 -1999 in which hundreds of people were killed and property worth millions of naira destroyed over land matter.

Source: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vanguardngr.com/2020/02/aguleri-umuleri-trade-words-over-site-of-police-college/amp/
You are taking this thing too serious. It is a brotherly squabble which is the reason both still have time to sit together and discuss. Nobody intefers in the matter and if the state government wants to do anything, a native in the government house is sent which in this case is the present governor, Willie Obiano who is from Aguleri.
The funniest is that even in the midst of whatever they do to themselves, both communities still manage to vote the same candidate in all election and protect each other from herdsmen (I believe you've read about this one)

If you have seen other Nigerian cities and capitals you realize that Enugu city is Gold.
I used to think like you until I met all other cities first hand. That was when I realized that south East is heaven in Nigeria.
As for the present government, I can't say that she is all great. She might not have done that much but atleast things haven't deteriorated that much under her watch

It is not political. Infact both of them are looking for an external party that will be foolish enough to intervene in the matter so that they will use the person to settle.
They are related by blood and if they want to finish themselves, they can go ahead.
Besides they are just two towns in the midst of 181 towns so their issue is trivial and doesn't concern the entire state

That's not true, Owerri would have become even more beautiful than Enugu by now if not for the 8 years of Rochas's maladministration and the current Supreme Court impostor who replaced him.

I know both cities and I can tell you that Owerri is equally well planned.
I can't dispute the fact that Owerri is a planned city. Infact it was planned to perfection to compete with enugu. Other perfectly planned cities in South East include umuahia, Aba, Awka, Fegge in Onitsha and recently Abakiliki
But Enugu city has always been on a different level from other south eastern cities and all Nigerian state capital cities because of its purpose (it was designed to be the capital of a country), it has always dwarfed all state capital cities based on its consistency and natural Aesthetics ( mehn viewing the city from enugu ngwo hilltop can be breath taking).

Enugu and Owerri used to be in this level in terms of beauty and aesthetics but Enugu was lucky to have Sullivan Chime as governor for 8 years unlike the mad man called Rochas who ruled Imo State for 8 years, and as if that wasn't bad enough, the Supreme Court removed Emeka Ihedioha we voted for to correct Rochas's maladministration only to replace him with his worst version.

Only God can help us in Imo State now because asking us to wait until 2023/24 to vote him out is not good enough. This impostor remaining in Douglas House for another 3 years will do irreparable damage on Imo State.
Please there was never a time owerri or any other state capital was in the same level with Enugu city.
Ask any other person that visits them often right from then till now
PoliticsRe: State Governors Should Pay More Attention To The Environment: The Enugu Example by Bkayyy: 10:51am On Nov 01, 2020
Sometimes I don't think it is good to compare Enugu city with other state capitals in Nigeria because Enugu was designed to be the capital of a country not that of a state.
But still Awka own still dey surprise me oh, only God knows what Awka will turn to in the next 10 years
PoliticsRe: State Governors Should Pay More Attention To The Environment: The Enugu Example by Bkayyy: 10:47am On Nov 01, 2020
You are not far from the truth.
Enugu is the only city created for the purpose of being capital in the south of Nigeria. I won't ignore the fact that Awka is slowly turning to Athens (that is if you have been there recently).
Like yesterday when I was forced to sleep at Alulu Nike due to the curfew. I was surprised that on getting towards the market, at the round about opposite peace Park the gabbages I saw the previous day miraculously disappeared.
Nairaland GeneralRe: See 10 Nigerians Who Are In Guinness Book Of Record. by Bkayyy: 10:38am On Nov 01, 2020
Nonsense,
Bunch of mediocrity. Almost all of them did easy things just to get into the record book like painting large newspaper which can be done by anybody because the record never said that the painting was unrealistically attractive. Just painting.
Another stupidity is dancing for a long time. Like are you kidding me? Just shaking your body. Anyone with enough stamina can do that just that most people see it as a thing of shame to enter the record with such average mediocrity.
The only reasonable records there are that of Stephen Keshi, Tuedon Morgan and David Omueya.
The rest are just records of gabbage set just to enter book. No wonder most of them are broken within seconds of being set.
For your information anything can be on record, whether shameful events or extraordinary
