Messi never blamed the pitch. He agreed he hasn't had a great tournament so far before commenting on the state of the pitch. That's more than most footballers are willing to admit.

If any of you guys watch these games, you'd know he isn't playing the same role he plays for Barcelona. He's playing deeper behind the strikers and is unlikely to score as much as them.

For the first time in years, Argentina isn't depending on him to both create play and score, and so by his standards everyone thinks he's having a bad tournament, even people who only check scores online.

I hope Argentina wins this Copa so you guys can finally choke to death on your hate. It should have been the 2014 world cup, but this is also a good time.

It would b as boring as hell .... Multichoice as an example don't show these other tournaments asides world cup, European cup and AFCON ( cos multichoice is Africa) Europe is football... They are now miles ahead of former contenders , South America... Asia, Africa, north America have never won it , and they don't have a chance... South America now have their players trooping into Europe, unlike b4 when south American players played in South America... Pele really shined in those world cups ,so as the Brazilian team , cos they were so good and they played in South America, it was so difficult to understand their game... Now these European players play with these south Americans in Europe and they also understand their weaknesses...
