Honestly, what part of "Don't accept bank transfers" is hard to understand? Here's how I used to do it in those days:
Me: I'm ending your trip now. Here is it - your fare is #5,000.

Rider: Ok. [Brings out phone]. Give me your account number, let me transfer to you.

Me: Aahhh, I'm sorry, I can't use my account. Some yahoo boys have hacked it. I lost my phone 2 weeks ago. I'm sure that's what they used. They stole #50,000 from the account.

Rider: Oh, sorry about that. So what do we do now?

Me: We can use an ATM around. It won't take us up to 5 minutes. Sorry for the inconvenience.
No term everybody as a scammer, na transfer I dey do mostly which kin mostly na all the time I dey do transfer and UBA Bank neva fail me before. So na the few kleptomaniac dey perpetuate jigijaga attitude.

Good evening everyone, please I need urgent assistance on this. This afternoon while on my way back from ogba, I noticed my car was kind of losing power and gaining it back, also I noticed it has been jerking whenever I slow down since tuesday, was waiting till weekend to go have it checked out. But this afternoon, the car steering got locked, I couldn't match the brake as it was stiff, it felt like the way the car was when it's off, stiff steering and can't pedal down the brake. Happened twice at ogba, I felt it was cos the fuel was low, 2 bars, topped it off, and it just happened again about 15 minutes ago while at ogudu. I really don't know what's going on, called my mechanic about it, but I'd like to know the possible causes, so as not to spend unnecessarily and avoid guess work. 3 people suggested it maybe the fuel filter or fuel pump.

@blackbishop @ radautoworks
Boss the cause of both steering and brake at the same time failing normal operation is low power... your engine is either not working optimally or best option run a freeze frame on your car.

Car TalkRe: Mechanic Roundtable by Blackbishop(op):
I was called for a Lexus IS350, having Overheating issue. The car will run fine with the air conditioning working, but gets hotter in traffic without the AC.

Running scenarios; Driving the car with AC and idling in traffic was smooth with the temperature at 87⁰C but the Fan was not having breaks in between.
But on another scenario of running the car without AC driving was fine but the moment you are stuck in traffic the fan don't pick up until the temperature is at over 97⁰C and once the fan comes on it won't last up to 5 seconds. Which leads to the temperature going over 105⁰C.

After running diagnosis I went ahead to ask the owner question about the history of the overheating, from his narration, from the moment he noticed the issue to the point of contact of B-Automobile Nigeria Limited he has spent more from changing
* Radiator
* Thermostat
* Radiator Cover
* Fan

But from all the changes, the overheating issue was still lingering.
After carefully examining all possible causes from FAN RELAY to ENGINE COOLANT SENSOR to RADIATOR CAP & RADIATOR to THERMOSTAT to WATER PUMP.

I went ahead to run a hot water test on the Thermostat.
And finally we have our answer. The Thermostat that was suppose to open up at a certain temperature was not just doing that.

Good morning gurus am having similar issue but mine temperature reading is normal on traffic with AC even if on for 6hrs, but my issue is on like lekki traffic the traffic light stop and go, then I notice temperature raising above operating middle range to 107-110©, if I switch off AC it cools down to normal range
NOTE no shortage of water in radiator, 2 cooling fan is connected direct with a 4 pin relay. Kindly assist. 10x

@ Gazzuzz, radautoworks, blackbishop, nurey and other gurus
Permit me to answer this mama Rad.

Boss the likely cause can be the Thermostat if still present,
Coolant temperature Sensor prolly but remote diagnosis wont work. You can ask mama rad for free diagnosis at her place

Sign of Steering Rack Failure & Problems

Today cars uses what is called steering rack and pinion setup. It is the system that connects your steering wheel to the front wheels of the car.

We have the belt-driven power-steering pump and an electro-hydraulic pump: the motor pump unit (MPU).

This MPU combines an electric motor, the associated control unit, a gear pump and a compensation tank for the fluid – all in one single housing. By using multiple sensors, the control unit calculates the required steering assistance while taking the driving speed, steering torque and steering speed into consideration before actuating the hydraulic pump accordingly.

Symptoms Of A Bad Steering Rack

Loose steering

Steering wheel shakes

Clunking noise

Wheels don't return to center

Excess slack

Looseness in the steering wheel

Vehicle unstable on highway

Good day. I am having serious issues with my car's acceleration. It has been in and out if the mechanics but it seems they don't know what to do. They cleaned and changed the fuel nozzle, etc but it's not solving any of the issues. Just yesterday, it got completely worse, the car went completely off twice while the ignition was still on, once was when I was coming down a bridge. The car misfires, it doesn't accelerate when it is supposed to and sometimes, when I switch on the ignition, it just raises it self without me placing my leg on the throttle. When it does this and I go ahead to drive the car, the brakes stops working. This has put me in danger, and I have resolved not to drive the car anymore till it gets resolved. Please, I need your help, I am based in Lagos.

Pls Engineers, I have Pontiac 2009 that is consuming fuel a lot, its a tokunbo SUV....My mechanic said there is no Indomie (Catalysts) in the exhaust, how do i confirm this? How many suppose be in an SUV? and if the indomis is needed what is the price? will it solve the fuel consumption issue?

Thanks
Boss first and foremost scan the car, if the catalyst is missing scanner will point to it or if damaged.

Then again many components causes fuel consumption to go crazy, scanning will save you alot of stress

What Causes Spark Plugs to Wear Out?

Without operational spark plugs, your engine won’t run. If even just one plug were to fail, the change in functionality would be very noticeable. Your engine would MISFIRE.
Spark plugs do wear out over time, although the actual lifespan varies depending on the type of plug in question, the condition of your engine, and your driving habits.

Wear factors for spark plugs

There are several factors that play a role in spark plug health,i the most common reason for them to wear out is that they’re just old. To understand this, you need to know a bit more about how spark plugs work

When your alternator generates electricity, it is sent through the ignition system, down the spark plug wires, and to each individual spark plug. The plugs then create electrical arcs at the electrodes (the small metal cylinders protruding from the bottoms of the plugs). Each time a plug fires, a minute amount of metal is removed from the electrode. This shortens the electrode, and requires more and more electricity to create the arc necessary to fire the cylinder. Eventually, the electrode will be so worn that it won’t arc at all.

This is what happens in a normal, properly maintained engine. There are other factors that can reduce plug life (all spark plugs eventually wear out; it’s just a question of when).

Overheating Damage: Overheating spark plugs can cause the electrode to wear faster. Pre-ignition from an improperly timed engine can cause this, as can an incorrect air to fuel ratio.

Oil Contamination: If oil seeps onto the spark plug, it will foul the tip. This creates damage and additional wear (oil seeping into the combustion chamber is something that happens over time as seals begin to fail).

Carbon: Carbon buildup on the tip can also cause premature failure. This can happen due to dirty injectors, a clogged air filter and many other reasons.

As you can see, there are a number of different factors that affect when your spark plugs will fail, and just how much use you’ll get out of them

Is it advisable to buy new original bearing to put inside hub than buying a tokunbo hub? Car is a 2005 corolla, the more I accelerate, the more the humming sound increases.
