Madiba55:Less stressless route is via the 189 visa which grants you full working and residential rights in Australia. |
GeneralMu:Software engineers are not getting visas like before; it is getting too difficult to get invite as a software engineer. Can't you try to use your materials engineering background instead for the application? My humble 2 cents |
jworos:Wow, you a have strong application in my view (just my personal opinion) Teachers are in high demand. And you are a field technician (also highly in demand in the mines and plants). Best to research which of you would be the main applicant based on how easy to get all necessary documentations. My humble opinion. |
yusfate4:Physios are in demand, so good luck with your application. |
africanman85:Are you for real ? In this internet age, where all necessary information from the source is readily available online? https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/skilled-independent-189 |
uchman:Then all the best. It is a really good school. I think it's currently the highest-ranking University in Japan for an MBA or economics field. also, your fellow colleagues would be government official s form Asian countries (Nepalese, Mongols, Indians, North Africans, Slavs etc). Please take it as student job is confirmed. For job hunting after or before graduation, companies like Rakuten or any companies with related investment in Africa/Asia or Latin America will take interest in such job employment applications. And in winter, the place is great for skiing and snowboarding. it is 30 mins by local train to Nagaoka (for shopping, cinema, using the bullet train) Great choice, go and Conquer Congrats. |
uchman:Regarding Niigata Prefecture. 1. If it is University of Niigata, Niigata city (capital of the prefecture), yes very good place and a big city, and a national university and not as expensive as Tokyo. Also have the shinkansen line. 2. If is Nagaoka University of Tech, Nagaoka Niigata Prefecture, good university but student jobs are not common, to get student job you need a car to drive to other neighboring cities. 3. If it is International University Japan (IUJ) good university for MBA, i think number one (1) currently in Japan. However, the school is in the middle of nowhere., No part time jobs available. Except you have full scholarship. Please stay Away. 4. There is one more university in Shibata, Niigata Prefecture, it is good but no part time jobs, so stay away too. So, if it is School number 1 above, yes highly recommended. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_YYRabQjy4 this is what Niigata city looks like cheers |
LalaGreen247:Yes. Also, you checked the admission website pages of your tentative universities. This will also confirm the need for IELTS. Regards. |
Nfest:Hey, you should check our reddit for this community /Japanjobs. Cheers |
janda1:Not just only online skills. practical skills that are useful to logistics and industries. Can you drive and operate a forklift? Can you drive a heavy vehicle for long distance e.g Dangote trailer. My regards |
Joynkemakonam:. HND is a diploma and not a bachelors. I am not sure it qualifies you for admission into universities. Japanese equivalent of a diploma is "senmon gakko" also a diploma. if possible, why not register into NOUN and get a bachelor's degree. My Humble 2 cents |
Orgloan:No not an issue. Submit an EOI already. It is you overall point that matters, the higher your overall points the better your chances for invitation. |
Unlimitedlucky:The next enrollment is for April 2026. Which means application should have closed or just about to close. Better best to start sending mails to tentative Professors and copy admissions and international departments in those mails. Going through Research route is not bad. from the eye of a professor it is commendable and means you what to learn. Please in your mail, try to emphasize that you would require scholarship if it were available. Use you AFRICANNESS, you are poor but want to go to School. However, do you have a draft of your intended research?? Kindly refer to page 44 of this thread for reference. My humble 2 cents. Happy Holidays |
Tobexin:Honestly, Nigerian Medical professionals are missing on a goldmine by not migrating to Australia. Your visa is secured, not tomorrow one new politician changes your visa requirement overnight. Plus, the pay is blood money in the health sector in Australia. Even British medical professionals are migrating to Australia. |
Chidimercy:For that go to a any School admission website page to understand the requirements. for example: https://www.student.e.u-tokyo.ac.jp/nyushingaku-index-e.html https://www.tmu.ac.jp/english/research/researchers.html?org=%E7%B5%8C%E5%96%B6%E5%AD%A6%E7%A0%94%E7%A9%B6%E7%A7%91%20%E7%B5%8C%E6%B8%88%E5%AD%A6%E3%83%97%E3%83%AD%E3%82%B0%E3%83%A9%E3%83%A0 |
Chidimercy:Please what do you mean by limitations and requirements? Can you explain further on this? Kindly also find time to read through the thread. Also kindly find time to visit admission pages of schools to understand the requirements. My humble 2 cents. |
J984:This is my personal opinion. Your profession is so so in demand and that the pay is literally blood money. Housing is not your problem. There are houses, it is just that the cost of the houses are overvalued. https://www.realestate.com.au/buy/property-house-townhouse-unit+apartment-in-brisbane+city,+qld+4000/list-1?numBaths=2&misc=ex-under-contract&activeSort=price-asc&source=refinement |
J984:Yes, there are concerns over the housing crisis in Australia, People sleeping in their cars, I think this is extreme. The average wealthy Caucasian Australian will happily sleep in his caravan(car), even though he has 5 bedrooms in his mansion. The current crisis either affects you as 1. A renter, as you have to pay good money for sub-par rental. I was disappointed by the quality of housing in Australia. Some of the houses be like houses in Ajegunle. In winter, the outside environment is warmer than inside of your house, and in summer, your house is literally an oven. 2. A property owner, houses that were 500k aud. last year December are now around 700K aud and keep rising steeply. Sadly, nobody is building anything. The government is just giving speeches every day, while it is easy to blame migrants. This is my personal opinion form here onwards. If you are a couple, and are both professionals., I believe it is manageable & comfortable as both couples can aim for 100k Aud annual pay. So please try to come in as skilled professionals. Indians and Bangladeshis are smiling to the bank as all GP in clinics you go to are mostly staffed by them. Where are the Nigerian doctors? White South Africans blend in and enter into good organisations with good money. Electricians, Heavy duty machine operators and mechanics are smiling to the bank in the mines, where are our HND applicants? My humble 2 cents. |
uchman:Please broaden your horizon. I fear it is very narrow. you want to spend so much money in Sophia university for English teaching jobs in Japan? English teaching jobs do not pay well in Japan. Why can't she go all the way to Phd in education related courses in any national university, look for scholarships as well along the way, and become an assistant Professor after post-doc? https://japanuniversityjobs.com/jobs/job-openings-of-department-of-english-language/ My humble personal opinion. |
Gerrard59:Please take warehouse advice seriously. Go Shopping for uniqlo heat tech. |
Unlimitedlucky:Thanks for your honest feedback. Could you make a list for your expenses for the first 6 months including accommodation. 1. In your introductory emails to professors, add this information or breakdown to the mail, sincerely and earnestly asking for scholarship support. With this approach, probably best not to target very famous schools in demand. Target schools that are not so favourable due to their location, meaning too far from Tokyo, so no fun adventures e.g. Saga, Kochi, Gifu and Fukui Prefecture. I know someone who got full PhD scholarship through this method. and if you are willingly to study all onto PhD. Kindly state it as well. It helps the Professor to better understand how to help you. https://www.kochi-u.ac.jp/international/english/prospective-students/intl-student-scholarships.html My humble 2 cents. |
uchman:If you have the money. SOPHIA University by Yotsuya Station in Tokyo. https://www.sophia.ac.jp/eng/academics/g/g_hs/g_hs-education_english-taught/ |
uchman:Please kindly explain further. 1. why Tesol and Education? 2. What is Tesol? |
Rictech:I personally don't think it has anything to do with your CV. It might just be because you are on a student visa and far from graduation, and maybe your Japanese level. Anyways, keep grinding and pushing. you are very close. Besides, how's life? Studies? and, Part time job hunting? Ready for winter? regards. |
Rictech:Thanks for your kind suggestions. This is just my personal opinion. Please don't be angry toward me. Sometime getting the scholarship offshore can be tough. 1. JICA scholarships are mostly for public servants especially the Naija participants. they are 97% govt officials that still have their jobs back home in Naija in ministries and govt parastatals. 2. MEXT scholarship (Embassy recommendation route) for Naija has been so bastardized that is mainly for high ranking govt official's wards. all MEXT scholarship students from Africa that I have met are ether daughter of diplomat, or son of federal judge etc.. you get the gist. and these ones get scholarship all the way to PHD just like that for free. No aptitude test, no essay, no interview, nothing and they go to the very best schools in Japan. 3. The other MEXT avenue via university recommendation is so competitive that you are competing against the whole of Asia ranging from Chinese, Koreans, Mongolian students etc that can already speak fluent Japanese. It is not impossible, but his route will require massive self-improvement that Naija universities do not offer and fasting on the mountain for 40 days and nights. 4. Ashinaga is for orphans and also via Embassy recommendation. 5. My small advice, if you have funds to survive for 1 year, apply and move already. apply for scholarships onshore. There are several scholarships that available to enrolled students onshore. 6. In your communique with your Professor, let him/her know that you require scholarship along the line. Use your Africanness for once. You are poor and want to get a good education. 7. build a large friendship community if you are on ground, don't be friends only with the African community. Be friends with everyone, Vietnamese, Indian, Siri Lankan etc. My first part-time job was help via my Vietnamese friend not through the local African community. Will it be though, Hell yea. Tougher than Naija, Hell no. Worth it in the end, YES. last Advice, LEARN JAPANESE, even if it is street JAPANESE. My Humble 2 cents It is not easy but i have met 3 Africans from Togo that used this route and they are doing well today. |
) when i tell them i am self-sponsored. The job i am doing is via recommendation from an African brother. Kudos to the African community.
