Nigerians cannot travel to Bangladesh visa free.
This is false.
You will be arrested and put n Super Max Kirikiri. The police will be very happy. Nigerians can no longer use even Student and business visa to enter Bangladesh. to get the visa super hard for Nigerians and even if you get it, immigration will take you to the other room and cancel your visa. |

I have taken note of all requirements regarding my employment. In addition to that, further proof of employment regarding receipt of income tax lodgement. Is the income tax for the whole period of employment or for a particular period, maybe for a year or six months duration?
Also, the company I worked for is actually a small company, I've never seen or discuss tax with my employer and I'm not sure if he remits tax to the Lagos state government at any point.
Thanks once again. My only advice here will be to follow the requirements as stipulated by Engineers Australia. I believe the tax duration is stipulated on the Prepare for skilled migration assessement booklet of Engineers Australia. |

peteredo: Hello all, Please I need some guidance. I want to do my assessment with EA, my situation is: B.Eng Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Ambrose Alli University, 2013 Got certification in Electrical Power Systems Training from National Power Training Institute (NAPTIN) 2016 MSc Electrical Power and System Engineering, Teesside University, UK, 2022 (Washington Accord recognized) Work experience: • Technical Support Engineer in Golden Power Solutions, 2017-2019 • Power Engineer (Apprenticeship) at National Power Training Institute, 2015-2016 Please how should I structure my EA assessment? I am planning to use the Washington Accord Pathway since my MSc is accredited, but I am a bit confused if I still need to write a CDR report or if my MSc alone will be enough. Also, my recent technical experience is more focused on electrical systems, renewable energy microgrids, plant commissioning, and electrical distribution simulations. Any guidance from people who have done similar assessments would be highly appreciated. Thank you. Sadly as your Engineering bachelors degree was from Nigeria. You cannot use Washington accord assessment. Please don't waste your money. Kindly read the EA assessment requirements carefully. You can only use the migration Skilled assessment path. https://www.engineersaustralia.org.au/migrants/migration-skills-assessment#accordion-1266You will need the 3CDRs and a summary report. Sorry !!. My bad, a bit of Typo there. I meant to write the "employee 5% super deduction". In regards Super. yes you are correct. Your Employer remits from 11.5% super remuneration of you salary if the your agreement tis base salary plus super. Usefulsense: Bro, there is nothing like employer super deduction in Australia. Super is not a payroll deduction, rather your employer remits your super outside negotiated pay. What do you mean employee 5% deduction? |

I want to do my assessment with EA, my situation is:
B.Eng Production engineering (option in mechanical engineering) 2014
Got a certification in project management from a Nigerian institute 2015
M.Eng Manufacturing engineering 2018
Work experience: Design engineer in a renewable energy company 2018-2021
Project Engineer 2021-2022 same coy
Project manager 2022-2023 same coy
PhD in mechanical engineering in view started 2024 in new Zealand
Preparing for Prince 2 project management certification May 2025
Please how should I structure my CDR? My job is strictly mechanical design of affordable solar devices and even as a project engineer/project manager I was still overseeing the manufacturing process from design to finishing.
Also, the company I work for is not a big company but we have a standard website.
Please contributions from experience legends would be appreciated.
Thank you.
cc: blackbrial Good day Dear Sir/Ma. Please kindly fmailiarise yourself with the Engineers Australia Document below: https://www.engineersaustralia.org.au/sites/default/files/2022-07/prepare-your-migration-skills-assessment-application-july2022_0.pdfPage 7 of the document above explains what your CDR should contain. You wil require 3 CDRs. Any you can use any projects from your working experiences. After drafting your CDRs, cross-check to ensure that your CDRs cover all the points listed in the porefessional summary below: https://www.engineersaustralia.org.au/sites/default/files/2022-06/professional-engineer-summary-statement-brfinal.pdfIt doesnt matter if your compnay is small, big or international. It is about your engineering working experience. and having solar working design and project delivery experience is quite niche. The most important documents required form your company are stated on page 9 of the Prepare your Migration Skills Assessment application, July 2022 v1.0. Godspeed and my humble 2 cents. |

dongc: What is the essence of Skills assessment without accessing experience for a Skilled migration ??..all the CDR process for Engineering Technologist... you are obviously less attractive if you do am Expression of Interest with no experience....who is going to invite you.. I am just curious Good day Sir. Thanks for your kind input. The aim is to get a high score so as to be invited. If his CDRs are drafted to meet all the brief for Professional Engineer, He would/could get that assessment. So many young engineers(recent graduate) do the Expression of Interest with no experience and get called up for 189and 190. He can make up for points with Proficient English and try out NAATI(Yoruba/Igbo). Just my humble opinion |

DVMogoshi: Hello fam
I got an offer in Aussie as a health care assistant, $32/hr for 40hrs a week.
Will this be a good start for me as a Vet? 1. $32/hr for 40 hrs a week = $1280 per week before all deductions (tax and super). 2. $1280 * 2= $2560 per fortnight before all deductions (tax and super). 3. $1280 * 26.087 fornights = $66,782.72 annual salary before all deductions (tax and super). inputing the figure in (item 3) above into paycalculator.com 4. Take home pay after tax and employer super deductions is = $2094.00 Also you have to pay 5% employee deductions on your pre-tax fortngiht salary. 5. So 5% of $2560 = $128 6. Final Take home pay = (item 4 - Item 5). $(2094.00-128.00) = $1966 per fortnight. Will this be a good take home pay?. Bros to be honest, the question is tough to answer.Rent, private insurance, groceries etc. may cost you averagely about $400 ~ $700 weekly. My humble advice, if this your route to Australia, take it and start but don't stay long there. At most 12months. One question for your kind sir/madam. is the salary for base pay plus super? OR base pay including super? |

No, as You will probably still be required to do the necessary Australia Auditor accreditation(s) to be certified/recognised and Work as internal Auditor in Australia. Like i said earlier, the PR visa gives you "unlimited working and residency rights in Australia". You can do any job and have more than one job. you could even get a job as an Eletrical Engineer Quality Inspector . you can save and raise the money/funds to do the necesary accreditation to be recognised as a pracitising internal auditor in Australia. Upon which you can look for jobs/roles in Internal Auditor roles. And for when you pass the Engineers Australia assessment and get the PR visa, target state government jobs. Pay is not bad and you have soooooo much time to yourself, with flex working conditions and WFH arrangements. The road to Jerusalem is not necessarily a straight road. Please check the requirements below for Migration Skill Assessment with Engineers Australia. https://www.engineersaustralia.org.au/sites/default/files/2022-07/prepare-your-migration-skills-assessment-application-july2022_0.pdfYou will need your transcripts, education qualifications, IELTS, Tax receipts and Employment letter and Refeence letter as Technical Audior/Quality Inspector in the Power Sector and then you can claim this work experience as an Engineer. Of course you wil need to re-edit your CV to engineering based experience. However should you have several managerial experience, kindly add it even though it is not engineering related. Please read up on the https://www.engineersaustralia.org.au/migrants/migration-skills-assessment. It is about you, and not about COREN and NSE. Kindly familiarise yourself with the Engineers Australia Migration Skill Assessment requirements. My humble 2 cents. |

Anfieldboss: Thanks for taking out time to break it down for me. I guess I'll have to explore other countries for immigration.
The other option I'd have love to explore in Australia is Masters in Professional Accounting, but the tuition fees are very high. If you are in lates 20's to mid 30's, Why not reserach about using the Engineeirng route. You have a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering. Your bachelors thesis alone is 0ne CDR report(strike 1) of the 3 CDR Reports. Your internship is another CDR report (strike 2). Your work experience would be less than a year, as maybe you have no professional engineeirng working experince. However, you can make up for points in Proficient English and Yoruba (NAATI). Like i said earlier, the purpoe of the visa is not to determine where, and your workign occupation/profession in Australia. There are teachers turned Engineers and doctors. But you need the skilled visa. and they are engineers turned machine operators etc. The purpose of the skilled visa is to give you "unlimited working rights in Autsralia."Look up Engineers Australia Skilled Migrantion Assessmet. I think VETASSESS also have some engineering asessments. My humbe 2 cents |

Anfieldboss: Hello everyone,
Please, I need the advice of experienced people here.
I am an Internal Auditor with over 8 years of work experience. I have a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and a Chartered Accountant (ICAN Chartered). I am looking at migrating to Australia using the PR route. I am considering two options: Going through the Internal Auditor route (Assessing with VETASSESS) or going as a Cybersecurity Professional (Assessing with ACS as a Cybersecurity Governance professional). For the latter, I would need at least a certification in Cybersecurity (CISA), which I am already planning on writing the exams and getting the certification.
I was told by a friend who migrated to Australia via a Master's degree program, that the points for IT is very high, that I would need at least 95 points due to the competition in IT. He told me the competition for Internal Audit is not too high, but he doesn't think the profession is in high demand.
My concern with evaluating with VETASSESS is if my academic qualifications will be evaluated for Internal Audit since my degrees are in Engineering but I have solid experience in Internal Audit. And also if the profession is really in demand?
Please guys I need your advice. I actually would prefer going via the IT Audit path as that is my preferred career path and I am already working on getting the required certifications. But I am concerned with the high competition in IT. I belive you are overthinking it. Please kindly reagrd the VETASSESS eligilibity requirement carefully. A bachelor degree in Engineerign doesnt disqualifies you from the said assessment. VETASSES wants a bachelors degree. It could even be a bachelors degree in Latin or CRS studies. Try to understand your objectives. You are trying to obtain a skilled visa that gives you unlimited working rights in Australia. SO whether you decide to use high points of 95 for IT professionals or moderately low point of maybe 80 for Internal Auditor. The skilled visa grants you unlimited working rights in Australia. So upon lawfully entering Australia, you can decide not to do neither IT nor Internal Auditor. You could decide to look for a job as a train driver or something else. Then your CV and work expereince will speak for you. The main objective now is to acquire the skilled visa. Just my humble 2 cents. |

Cutejaelyn: Help me answer the following questions I have interest in applying for a skilled work visa but below are my following conundrums
- I have no bachelor degree - I am above 30yrs old but below 35yrs old - I speak and write good english as i have work on whitepapers for 2 icos for almost a year - I am a self employed and i get paid from different clients for work and even though i had my business registered few years ago, I do not pay TAX. - Talking about work experiences, I do not know the best way to proof my work experiences since they will need tax docs, bank statements showing monthly payments from a company etc
With all of these, do i still have hope? First of all, A big thanks for sharing your situation. And Cheers for comng forward. Honestly, it will be very tough. As no bachelors degree and tax records. You dont have a bachelors degree, but do you have a diploma (say OND or HND) It seems the route i can think of is via education. A diploma/vocational course in Australia. Diploma in Nursing or Education etc. With this route you can apply for a work and PR visa. However with the elections and housing crisis, migration is nowa contentious issue in australia Migrants with dark shades of skin color are being blamed by politicians, government (that refuse to solve the problems of building more social housing ), media and everyone for the crisis. Just my humble 2 cents. |

Nasa4G: Please house, I have a question that needs an urgent response. I studied Microbiology, and I am currently working as a microbiology laboratory assistant, so while filling out the occupation learned section of the VIDEX form, I didn't see any role close to my profession apart from a researcher. So my question is this: should I select researcher, then fill in Microbiologist and Laboratory Assistant in the further information where applicable and current occupation, respectively, or should I pick other professions, then fill in the Microbiologist and Laboratory Assistant in the follow-up sections.
Please, suggestions and guidance will be greatly appreciated. From my understanding , A researcher needs a PHD Degree. Researchers are mainly postdoctoral fellows. It will be fair to dig out/find out Germany's definition of a researcher. |

Gerrard59: Someone who went through this thread and I have been messaging throughout last year, and I am pleased to announce that she went through everything I have outlined here and got a place in a national university. She graduated ten years ago in a science field from a federal university, went through my write ups, applied, got a place, got the COE and visa. Earlier on, she got declined by some universities, but with my tip (especially the initial application email for a place), she got in.
I am glad that someone benefitted from my posts just as I benefitted from that of Majisuka. No agent was involved as it should be. Just yourself as the individual from A - Z. If she can do it, anyone can. The Japanese visa is easy to get once the COE is approved and delivered to you. Anything aside from the COE would lead to Miserability 101. Tourist visas cannot be converted to work visas. Don't allow anyone to deceive you.
The email tip: https://anumightytm.medium.com/part-two-guide-to-graduate-studies-in-the-united-state-of-america-us-38142f48d1f0
Na the same email template I use during my time and it worked across countries and universities. Send it to coincide with 9am Japanese time. If no reply after a week, send again to coincide with that time then put a call through to the prof's lab stating you sent an email. In simple English, mention your name and the reason you called.
Good luck! Great Job. Please continue to help spreading the Gospel. Japan Education is of the highest quality and most affordable compared to Europe, USA and Australia. Also all National Universities in Japan offer Graduate programs in English including the medical field. You don't need to sell your inheritance or fortune to get to Japan. Your concerns are not unfounded. First thing, Target Part time jobs that don't require using the language, so like factory jobs . Don't be scared you will meet several Asians from other countries that don't speak the language and hustling like you, the difference is they will be younger. Try to learn the language. PLEASE this is important. it will be difficult . I swear it will, but learn what you can daily. For learning the language, As a student, Japanese universities offer Japanese classes for free to international students. To save on cost within your first 6months - 1 year. Please try to get university hostel. it is super cheap. Apply for it. Use your Africa-ness t o get admission and possible scholarship when you land. Dutch2: i think it's more about the political outlook of the world changing, and countries generally opening up due to globalization. Germany unlike Japan doesn't necessarily have a serious fertility crisis. But nevertheless, this is actually a great opportunity, and they're open and willing to accept migrants. They're also doing their best to pass laws to make things easier for immigrants from simplifying paths to permanent residency and citizenship, to making it easier for top tech talents to come to Germany and start businessess. What is "Serious fetility crisis"? |
