This is not an American thing or common, and may not even be a legal establishment. You're not going to find places like this except where there's Asians.
Immigrants who don't have much typically rent a room (a normal room in someone's house or apartment) that generally looks like this (or much nicer): Bro, you read my mind. How is that legal? That is literally a coffin box. |

OlaLiberty: It is already divided into parts and the sizes are within the limit stated. I could only upload one one episode, the others and the summary statement could not be uploaded.
@Blackbriar what am I going to include in the cover page? I got the header and foot. Thank you for your response. What I meant was to divide Career Episode 1 into 3 booklets (1) let your main report be CAREER Episode 1 - PART 1. (2.) Make reports, site pictures, models and email corespondences as Appendix and named it CAREER Episode 1-PART II (3.) Lastly, related Drawings as another Appendix and named it CAREER Epsiode 1-PART III. Also do not forget to update the cover page and footer/header to reflect either CAREER Episode 1-PART II or CAREER Episode 1-PART III Repeat Items (1) to (3) above for Career Episode 2 and 3 wherever required. By doing this, I believe that it will be possible to upload all three files (pdf format) within the limits stated. For summary statment, upload a pdf file. My humble 2 cents. |

OlaLiberty: I have been getting error message each time I tried to upload my career episodes docs on EA when they are in pdf which is one of the suggested formats. Tried word too, it was the same issue. Has error experience this and how do you overcome it? The error is due to the size of your files. Check size requirement of your files you might need to divide your career episode in to PART I, PART II, and PART III ect where required. So Career Episode 1- PART I, Career Episode 1- PART II etc. Career Episode 2- PART I, Career Episode 2- PART II etc. Dont forget to update the cover page, footer/header of the reports as well to indicate PART I, PART II etc. Makes it easy for the assessor to unerstand what file he is handling. My Humble 2 cents. |

JackTheReaper: Glad to make my first post here.
I read the first 60 pages of the thread and I must admit I learnt so much on how to process this PR visa oneself. Moved to page 100 and also read a few pages, did same for 200&300, then I continued from 380 to see the recent trends. I'll recommend this strategy for any one that's new here and truly wants to get this done. You can do this under 3 weeks.
Here is my profile. Please help confirm that the points are correct based on recent activities.
Age: 25-32 (30pts) English: Prepping for IELTS soon and aiming for superior (20pts) or proficient (10pts) Work experience: 4yrs+ (5pts), considering waiting till mid next year before assessing to achieve 5yrs (10pts) Qualification: B.Tech Biochemistry from Federal University of Technology Akure. It's a 5 year course (15pts). Please help confirm that it will be assessed as equivalent of an Australian bachelor's degree.
Nobody can confirm this. It will based on your transcript. Did you really take all revelvnet courses in university relevant to biochemistry? Thats the whole concept of assessment. E be like say you never see Indian's engineering transcript before.
Visa subclass: open to 189 (preferred), 190&491 too. Marital status: Married.
Simulation: If I max the points from each requirement (excluding points from state nomination), I can have 75 points, or 65 if I can't max the IELTS.
Proposed job title to be assessed: Management Consultant (ANZSCO code 224711).
My job titles for the last 4+ years have ranged from Planning analyst, business analyst and information analyst (Same department), and my daily activities match the tasks on abs.gov.au
My concern lies with my course of study (Biochemistry) and what I do. I have an MBA (2023) but I don't know if it will put me in a better position for the assessment with VETASSESS. I'll appreciate your opinions and advise on this. |

Konquest: Hasina, who ruled the country for close to two decades, boarded a military helicopter on Monday, an aide told Al Jazeera, as huge crowds ignored a national curfew to storm her palace in Dhaka.
Her resignation came after 300 people died in weeks of protest that the authorities sought to crush. A night of deadly violence on Sunday killed close to 100 and a curfew was called.
The streets were patrolled by soldiers on Monday. However, protesters remained defiant and called for a march on Dhaka as crowds swelled in the capital.
Huge numbers then stormed the prime minister’s palace, preventing Hasina from delivering a speech. By early afternoon, the mood on the street had turned to one of celebration after the news of the premier’s departure spread. There is still no confirmation that she has resigned. Yes she fled the country nut not yet resigned. |

Jamiuokolaa: Maybe?
Have you seen the current allocations for the 2024/2025 FY in comparison with last FY year that was very competitive?
Cut off points ain't dropping bro - peeps should aim to score higher to boost their chances.
Na only very few professions (mostly Artisan) dey get invites with low points
It is what it is! Bro. The Points were this high also pre-Covid. Then COVID happened and the borders were shut for 2 years. net zero migration. Many Projects on hold because no workers. The Borders opened and the point reduced to 65 points. Doctos and Teachers were on the priority list, even engineers received ITAs on 65 points. The elections are coming up, and everyone is talking of the chinese and indians buying up all the properties, and making the property market to expensive for the locals ( I still don't know why they can't just build more houses). Anyways this made immigration a focal point in the election campaigns, This I belive was pivotal to the points going up again. Like everyone has been advising. Submit a qualitative appplication and wait. Also have a plan B. We are not here to argue. Just to help ourseleves in a little way we can. And as such, encouragement is part of being helpful. Just My Humble 2 cents. Thanks. |

Jamiuokolla: This is the point bro - a whole lot has changed since that time.
I know lots of people that received 190 invites..even with 65 points as at last year.
Nowadays, it's a whole lot more competitive...even for priority occupations like Teachers and Nurses.
As we speak, the slots for 189 this Financial year is half of last year's allocation.
The competition no be here baba.
Lots of onshore candidates with high points are waiting for invitations... nothing.
Not as if I am being antagonistic but with the way things are currently, it's better to check well before spending huge sums of money on skills assessment Yes, the competiton is tough but it is due to Immigration becoming a main topic topic in the election run ups. After the elections , immigration topic will fizzle out slowly, and maybe the points may reduce. So you never can tell. Just apply and hope for the best. Besides you are not paying the visa fee unitl you get Invitiation to apply. |

I have a pertinent question. I have two degrees (bachelors and masters). I am assessing my degree with Engineers Australia. There are different pathways (accords) for assessing degree under Engineers Australia. My bachelors degree is accredited by Dublin accord, while my masters degree is accredited by Washington accord. Please which degree should I assess, my bachelors or masters degree? Engineers Australia wiull always assess your engineering degree against the Bachelors Program. Since your Bachelors is in the Dublin acoord, better to use the CDR route. However, if in doubt, better to give Engineers Australia a phone call for advice. |

DJMJ: Since you said you do nothing related to civil at work, I will suggest a hard pill for you of you are really determined. First, you have to find a way to practice what is related to your study, give yourself around 3 years plan to do that. VETASSESS will definitely deduct around 2yrs for qualifying. All said and done, this will only be possible if you are under 40years of age. Or you can try the student route He does not need to do that, I think. he qualiifies for ANZSCO Code: 312913 / Group C based on what he described as his job role. He has a tertiary qulaification in Civil Engineering but his job role is ddescribed in the link below https://www.vetassess.com.au/check-my-occupation/professional-occupations/mine-deputyI also do not think it matters if VETASSES deducts the working expreince points. He can make for the points via English Test. Get the assessemnt and enter the poool quickly. Employers look at your resume and not VETASSESS Working expreince report. |

I am in the process of doing my skill assessment with Engineers Australia (EA). I am a civil engineer with limited experience (just a bit over one year experience in civil engineering), I have an MSc degree though. I'd done the eligibility check and I got 75 points. I heard Civil Engineers are in high demand in Australia. Please what are my chances of successfully migrating to Australia? Also, do I need to assess my experience alongside my degree with EA? I am writing based on the assumption that your bachelor's was in Nigeria. Hence, Yes you need to do a Migration Skill Assessment under Engineers Australia. Yes, Civil Engineers and Designers are in demand. Your chances of migrating depends on your point, the higher your point, the higher your chances. You can use the following for your Career episode; 1. Bachelors Degree Project 2. Masters Degree Project 3. SIWES or, 4. Limited Working Experience. The chances are very high, but it depends on the quality of your written assessment. My 2 Cents |

In this Australia japa, there is no short cut. I repeat, no short cut. If there is a short cut, people like us that have been in this thread for years would have been in Australia by now.
But here we are doing the right thing and following all due processes cuz there is no short cut to the land of the milk and honey.
Discard that thought of conversion of visitor visa to PR. That can be possible in the dream any way but not in reality for the Australia we all know. There is nothing like that. Except you guys just want to dash out your money to that well cooked cheap scam.
The person can help you guys apply for visitor visa o no doubt, which is usually 3 months visa, but converting it to PR, come on. Nothing like that.
Better follow due process and do your skills assessment to hop on the queue if you're qualified.
