I can't accept the racist one drop rule. If I do, we should just accept every other racist notions of white people.

The one drop rule was made during the slave trade. Children born from slave/master relationship were considered inferior.
This inferiority notion ended up affecting all blacks around the world irrespective of whether your ancestor was a slave or not.

Secondly, blacks love children, blacks love extended family, blacks love crowd. A black man will never reject his blood. If the white man says I don't want this child the black man/woman will say give me na my own my blood de run through him veins. grin

Thirdly, the fight is not just ours, this is a fight for the mixed race children. When filling a form they should write their race as white and not black if their father is white since they bear the name of the father and if they are from black fathers they should fill in their race as blacks because they bear the black father's name. The man is the head of the family and as such the wife and the kids belong to the man.

I agree but if his mum was black and his dad white. I would be the first to call him white because he would be more white than black and Africans would definitely not be jubilating this much but in this instance he is more black than white because of his father.

Secondly, if he was more interested in white things e.g. marry a white wife, have white kids, go to a white church, he would still be more white than black.

The man has clearly shown which side he prefers and wants to be associated with.

This is the reason I always like to point such things out and proclaim them. We should not just accept these things because white people want us to accept them. If lots of black people start referring to mixed race kids as black/white or white/black, they'll soon follow suit and then mixed race kids will start feeling proud of their other side.

According to the African tradition a child belongs to the man's family. If Obama's dad was white I would completely agree with you but for the fact that his dad is Black, I will call him Black. The man even refers to himself as Black, bears a Black first and last name, goes to a Black church is married to a Black wife, has Black kids he is more Black than some of us.
