I will repeat myself children born of Black fathers/White mothers are regarded as Blacks. Children born of Black mothers/White fathers are not blacks and can never hold or be elected into any important position in Nigeria or Africa.

Secondly the legacy of the one drop rule was made during the slave era to stop children of black slaves who had white fathers from getting automatic freedom or been called white because the whites knew that blacks had a rule of giving the child the race of the child’s father. Obama has no drop of slave blood in him (that’s why he can stand with his head high and that’s why the Black Americans are having a tough time accepting him). His father is black not his mother. He looks every inch like an African (mind you we have Africans that are not mixed but look much lighter than Obama). He is an African and we will accept him as our son and a black man period!

Besides, you have used the right word there - "punishment" - which is not to be confused for a "curse" as people often do!!

Curses are permanent
Punishments are Temporary

These curses are permanent. Not even after the death of Christ were we relieved of the curses.

I'm sorry, but the verses you quoted do not imply any "curse" at all.

Many people have read the word "curse" into those verses by personal pretexts; but the Bible does not throw words carelessly about as we often do! Read the verses again, and you will see that they do not refer to curses - and so they could not have survived as "curses" through to this age!

In the Genesis 3 narratives, there was ONLY one being out of the characters mentioned there that was actually "cursed" - and that is this verse you quoted:

Please understand here that the implications of placing a curse on Adam and Eve would simply make God's promise of redemption in Genesis 3:15 INEFFECTIVE!! When the Redeemer was borne, He was said to have been born of "a woman" (Gal. 4:4), and there was no hint anywhere in Scripture that the Incarnation was a miracle out of a cursed being!!

Please try and grasp this understanding so you don't assume what is not in Scripture. To assume things that Scripture does not teach is to fall headlong into deeper fallacy and arrive at issues that deny the glorious redemption we have in Christ.

Mr chrislam. Please we are not discussing the Koran here but the Bible. These are curses because Eve and Adam sinned and all where cursed. Would you have preferred if the word 'cursed' was used in every paragraph so that those who are slow to grasp things will know that God was melting out punishment for the wrong done?

Curse is defined as:

1. To invoke evil or misfortune upon; damn.
2. To swear at.
3. To bring evil upon; afflict: was cursed with crippling arthritis.
4. Ecclesiastical. To put under a ban or an anathema; excommunicate

and after all the curses God drove them out of the garden of Eden because of their sin.

Conclusion: "After the great flood the whole world was destroyed and restarted afresh by Noah." but the curses survived the flood. I still believe we are the descendants of Cain (Unless proven otherwise).
