Which got me more job on transmission diag and fix, on 2009 prado..
I really don't like sharing information. If others knows what I know, I wouldn't be paid so well to do what they failed to do..

It's not a must to share your methods Oga. Many great people have perished with their knowledge and the world still exists despite that but remember nobody is an island of knowledge. Many a times you even get suggestions on how to get things done faster and better when you share.

Try to rule out alternator problem before buying another battery.

Not recently sprayed or recently sprayed? I'm tempted to think it's the latter from my previous experience. Go the the painter and let him clean the windscreen with thinner.

1, check your battery connection tightness

2, check the status of your battery {replace if weak or if the cold start amp is lower than recommendation)

Start with those 2 before tackling the coolant temperature senor and fuel pump and pressure

It's not battery or starter issue as the car cranks just fine. It's cold start issue that started over 6months ago and has progressively worsened. It used to start at just a touch, then later I realized it took like a second longer but now I have to crank it like 3 times, 2 times if I give it about 10seconds after the first crank. I've changed the coolant sensor but it persists. I tried to change the fuel pump but the two I bought wouldn't work my mechanic think they are substandard. Scanning brought out a code related to fuel vacuum or so(check online says it's fuel tank cover problem) and that has been there since I bought the car over 5years ago. Car runs fine and starts at a touch after warm up.

This Bros don vex! Although the price is on the high side people should understand that cars are pretty much costly now. Shipping and clearing alone will set you back by a million naira or so. A clean title 06 es330 may go for $3k.If you add all these together you will direct your anger at someone else.

Oga you are partly to be blamed for what happened to you. Why would you purchase a used Nissan Murano without conducting due diligence. You didn't go with a professional to scan & inspect the car.
In my city, I see Muranos on the road being driven by women without complaints. Someone in my estate has been using a 2004/2005 Murano as his daily driver since 2014 & I haven't seen him pushing/towing it.
You bought a badly abused Murano. The previous owner really abused it before selling it to you with the help of an insincere dealer. An abused Toyota Camry can also frustrate you.
In as much as we have people with negative reviews on Nissan Murano, we also have people who would say Nissan Murano is the best car they had ever owned.

A bad car is a bad car. No matter how unreliable a car is their will still be few people who will argue it is the best thing that happened to them but those will be in the minority. So the fact that some people enjoy their murano doesn't make it a good ride. Even the good rides with glowing reviews have lemons amongst them. I just laugh when I read comments condemning people who buy toyotas but the fact is that one has a higher chance of enjoying your ride when it's a Toyota or any other proven reliable brand. If you get a murano or land rover freelander because you want to be different, you will be different it just won't be the way you want it.

mainly oil burn issues and dash board issues. You can Google it and add nairaland to your search. I was told that the oil burn issues were corrected in the 2010 model

The oil burn issue is not as bad as it's being painted on this forum, that ride is still one of the most reliable which is one of the reasons the car is like mtn everywhere you go. The dashboard issue is actually non- issue if you know what I mean.

The dashboard melts on all the models and releases a noxious gas odour that could be carcinogenic.... Toyota has refused to fix this....

The Camry 'muscle' is not a perfect car but it's still a very good buy the fact that it burns oil doesn't make it unreliable. The melting dashboard is aesthetically unpleasing however little, low cost fixes can be made like wrapping the dash in leather or just placing a ready made well tailored mat on it.

Bros, that post of mine was meant to be a satire. It was in response to someone who feel some cars are expensive because transporters use them without asking why transporters favour them over others in the first instance. The great Gazzuzz has given us the 'mechanic' view of the car which I can corroborate cause my mechanic once called me to ask if he has offended me

Don't mind those yeye transporters that decide to stick with a particular expensive vehicle instead of a cheaper alternative, why buy an expensive Corolla for uber when Mazda 323 or C230 benz of same year is cheaper, faster with more luxurious feel? why will you use a sienna for transport when nissan quest, mercury villager and honda odyssey are cheaper? The toyota hilux vs cheaper honda ridgeline. The Oga patapata of them all is the toyota hiace aka hummer bus, it's obvious that one dey use jazz. All these vehicles became preferred choice for transporters because they have a strong dibia who do jazz for them. If you check the records too you will realize they also sold in large volumes in their country of origin when new, one wonders why that is so. I guess the buyers have prophets who foresaw Nigerians will rush the cars like dodo in later years.

It is not the car with the most fuel economy in it's class, not the cheapest, doesn't have 'swag' as you put it yet it's the most sought after with a great second hand value and you think people who drive it are fools?. Funny enough most of my peers who got 03-07 honda accord circa 2014 now drive corollas I guess they realised 'peace of mind' matters most. It's simply a car that gets the job done day in day out without disrupting your itinerary and budget.
