[s] Blizzy9ja:[/s] What inciting statement Go sleep! |
justified10:It will happen. With Buhari in power many big men will end up in jail. But dont forget its not only efcc that has this responsibility, our judges are corrupt and also beneficiaries of the past regime.it is up to efcc to present its case, but its d judge that ultimately convicts. |
chigoizie7:You just answered your own question, its all about priority. Amaechi is now in govt and in a good position to do more for his people. I dont understand what your grievance is. So the fact that he is constructing an airport is now a problem ![]() You just sound ridiculous! Wike was Minister of education, how many schools did he build in rivers, since he loved rivers so much ![]() |
justified10:You only stated the problem, but no solution! The best way out is to make EFCC a constitutional body that is immune from direct politics. Then give them teeth, independent from presidential influence. |
justified10:You are pretending to forget that they were basically redundant for jonathan's 6yrs. You learn by experience. When for 6yrs the President said stealing was not corruption, what do u expect efcc to do They can only get better with the job, little by little they are learning from their mistakes. We will eventually get to a point where efcc can function solely independently without any presidential backing |
chigoizie7:What you are saying is neither here nor there. Which state govt is able to build an airport within 3yrs of coming into power ![]() Those states u mentioned were core Jonathan allies. But apart from that, amaechi also invested in thousands of projects of his own. You must not do federal govt project or build an airport to show u are working. Despite being the most hated governor by the entire pdp regime, he was able to build 400 schools, several roads and bridges etc How many of the state govts u mentioned built airports ![]() |
justified10:EFCC is not perfect. They have challenges and are learning on the job as well |
AntiWailer:You are soo right! Mark my words, these same people hating Buhari will be the ones praising him the second he leaves Aso rock. It our mentality here in nigeria. The moment anybody leaves power, he becomes a hero. Even abacha is being celebrated today in some quarters. Nigerians have very short memory! |
Wailers who are so much in support of corruption are gonna be soooo excited! ![]() |
[[s]quote author=chigoizie7 post=43777580] U re correct. But if amaechi had good intentions for the people of rivers, he would have known that the airport would have opened rivers more now, he would have known that as big as PH and as rich as they are, that airport would have brought more IGR and soo many goodies to the people of rivers, it is just a matter of common sense. PH is an economic hub of the entire oil rich south south, we know many investors that needs transportation are always in and out of PH. It would have been a win win for rivers. @least, ask for refund later, u and I knew that if amaechi had good plans for rivers people, he would have done d airport, rivers is rich. I knew u might ask me were state does FG projects. Well, from niger bridge to odumodu junction is a very critical road in anambra state, without that road, the economic activities in onitsha would have been brought to zero, it would have reduced the IGR of the state very very well. It would have killed the economic/commercial city of anambra. Best bet, state Govt took the bull by the horn to do those roads, not minding the cost and who was meant to do d roads, but focused on the long run benefits of the road, they are still pleading on FG to refund them, but @ d mean time, the road achieved it purpose @ a record time. Another case is that of awka express road, from amawbia down to the boundary Btw anambra and enugu. The state Govt knew that if they leave that road in that shanty state, it will draw them back in achieving their goals in awka, so, they started working on it, it is 90% complete, it gave access in and out of awka, it gave investors more hope in awka, today awka is an investment hub in SE, awka is the fastest developing area in soth east. Why? Because they had vission, they had plans and they worked towards achieving their dream @ record time. The good news is, when the FG decides to award that very osha Enugu express from head bridge to Enugu, the amount meant for the already worked areas will be brought out and remitted back to state coffers, It will be a win win. If the FG refused, no problems, @least their aims of developing and opening the cities up for investment was achieved thus raising their IGR and reducing the suffering of the masses. So, if amaechi tot that airport was very important to the economy of the people of rivers, he would have done it with state money and then ask for refund. Rivers had enough money to do it as price of oil was good, plus d derivation, excess crude account he clamoured for its depletion leading to split of Nigeira governor forum.[/quote][/s] Your comment is ridiculous and this is the problem with nigerians, we have very very short memory. You have quickly forgotten that as governor amaechi had to fight tooth and nail for rivers state statutory allocation to be released. So how in heaven's name do u expect he will ever be paid for embarking on a federal govt project which they didnt send him. Thats not how govt works. Read your constitution, it is illegal and unconstitutional for state to assume federal powers/projects without prior express consent. And even if the consent is given, the money wld never have been released because of the hatred jonathan had for amaechi. Pls think before you type. |
joeprince23:Dont be shallow-minded. Development does not know party. The airport being built is not only for apc members, so I dont understand why u feel threatened by progressive development that will benefit all! Btw those politicians u are campaigning for dont give a hoot about u! |
mickey45:Sorry whats ur point exactly ![]() |
Let the goats keep wailing...Nigeria is moving forward! God bless PMB! |
But those foolish wailers said Bubu's trips was a waste. So I suppose China suddenly woke up and chose to import oil from nigeria out of the many country lobbying for sale, probably cos they love us sooo much ![]() Mtschew |
OP u just quote Agbakoba out of context. If you read what he said, he was actually showing confidence in this administration. Your heading is very misleading! |
Lolz...they should share the money and give you or what my dear that regime is long gone. No more free money! Some people's idea of change is that its now their turn to "chop". Well you need a mind reset. Those monies recovered are not for sharing. First of all, the cases are still in court, so without judgement the monies cant be touched. But even apart from that, the monies will be applied to the initial reason they were assigned:i.e building infrastructure. So if you are still hoping for free money, now is the time to relocate to cameroun! ![]() |
Why do people only face federal govt for everything? You have councillors, LGA chairmen, governors, members of house of assembly etc, but you only have energy to rant for federal govt. You left the person you can easily reach to complain about the one thats miles away. This will not change till we are able to hold our leaders accountable. Its not about N5000 free money for youths, its about responsibility and accountability. Start with your LGA thats receiving moneys on your behalf every month! |
[s] orunto27:[/s] Ridiculous! Govt doesnt negotiate with touts or terrorists. He shld keep running, we shall see how long he can live in hiding! |
[s] raker300:[/s] TRASH! She did not of that! Our economy was simply rebased to make us the giant economy. Am guessing you know the meaning of rebase ![]() Youwin was nothing but a scam to loot funds, increment in minimum wage is a product of labour agitation and increment in nysc follows suit. This has nothing to do with the finance minister! And increased interest rate is a minus, not a plus.....jeez! hope u went to school ![]() |
dtruth3:The same Kanu that hates nigeria and wants the country to burn ![]() |
I think we really have goats for youths here. Some morons are already supporting a foreigner insulting your country. The person thats abusing you, is his country perfect Isnt it the same america where kids open gunfire on their classmates in school? Isnt it the same america where slavery, poverty and crime reign supreme?? People should stop demeaning their country just because a racist, bigot and evil capitalist thinks you are not good enough! |
neolboy:Use your brain. Was she not the finance minister? So where did all our forex during the time of oil boom go If u dont know what to say, shut up! |
chocolateme:Smart indeed. So smart she plunged us into the shit we are now! Look at the dasuki mess she created, where did all our oil earnings go Smart my foot! |
Gorodomu:Abeg shut up. You are saying two different things are the same time. You say govt cant fix exchange rate in one breath, then u also agree govt is fixing it at 197. If you dont knw what to say, pls be quiet! |
Gorodomu:Na wa o. When they said you shld go to school, u refused. Have u been sleeping since or living under a cave ![]() Nigerian govt is actively in control of the exchange rate. Thats why CBN keeps selling at 197 eventhough blackmarket is 312. Were u asleep when Buhari refused to devalue ![]() And btw stop lieing about spending your funds for this govt, cos your comments shows your criticisms arent constructive in the slightest. You are just a regular wailer trying to disguise as a supporter! |
And some goats even rushed to comment without reading...Thisday newspaper is really useless. So because efcc has nabbed bafarawa and obaigbena, they decided to constitute nuisance spreading falsehoods and lies. Any sane person that reads the excerpts knows Lai Mohammed NEVER such such trash..so wailing goats shld go jump in the lagoon! |
Ben Bruce should shut up and face his work already! Nigeria is still operating on some outdated 18th century laws, but he is to busy chasing shadows and updating twitter...useless ineffectual buffoon! |
Nicepoker:Are u just pretending to be oblivious to the circumstances of the senate president Or are u not a nigerian? |
Nicepoker:Is it only them? Division cuts across all political parties and everyone is managing it in their own way. You cant expect someone who is facing corruption charges to now be given the reins as acting president of the country. Its obvious how that will end |
[s] Forwetinnah:[/s] U see that think in your skull? Its use for thinking. Apply it before you blab or STFU! Rubbish |
OP your agenda is clear. But it seems you quote the emir out of context! Hope u are not a wailer tho.... |
Nicepoker:Actually u are the one who shld deal with the truth. U may not like apc but face facts: saraki didnt become senate president by approval of apc. Infact that is the genesis of his problems. |
