Btw the current situation was not created by buhari. Buhari isnt responsible for the decline in oil price or your wilful refusal to buy made in nigeria products! So think with your brain and stop being unrealistically sentimental! |

By the time it gets to NGN1,000 to a dollar, maybe Nigerians will wake up and use the CHANGE they deceived us with to pursue this govt out of Aso rock. Hope it would not be too late by then. So what solution have u proposed other than wailing What shld buhari be doing that he is not doing? I think many years of being spoon-fed has led to unpatriotism, greed, laziness and irresponsibility. You just sit at home and nag, and yet go ahead to buy expensive phones, cars and other imported products. Buhari shld do magic abi? Smh |

Your epistle is barren and completely useless to me, because I will not bother reading it. Please, get lost already. But you read it already. Duh! You are only good at insulting, but when it comes to intelligent comments its zero. |

NoreenUG: How does this rubbish you typed up here attacking Aribisala actually address the points he raised?
You APC touts are just irredeemable. Please, if you have nothing sensible to write, why not just keep shut and quietly swallow saliva instead of barking POINTLESSLY like a hooligan?
"Nigeria is facing this and that because of massove pillaging?" And your dullard president's answer to these issues Nigeria is supposedly facing is by presenting a CRIMINALLY inflated budget? Or is it by his many aimless junkets?
Jonathan inherited the Naira at N151 Per dollar. All through his 4 years, it fell 49 places to N200 per dollar; but in just Buhari's 8 months, naira now trades at N385 per dollar. Is that still GEJ's fault?
Keep apportioning blame like irresponsible little kids, e hear? Its unfortunate that after going to school this is is all you could pick up. Perhaps in your fantasical dreamland countries can just wake up and fix dollar price how they like or have you been living under a rock since the only commodity u sell (oil) went down the drain Think before u type pls and make intelligent comments. Dollar price skyrocketing is as a scarcity of forx. And why is there scracity of forex? Our only forex earner is now worthless. And more importantly, we saw how jonathan even wasted the scarce forex we had by dashing to his friends and cronies! |

They should push for trying him in absential not sieze properties if they're wise. There are legal repercussions to such. Ever heard of the phrase "contempt of court" The court is at liberty to confiscate all traceable property of his. And btw there is no such thing as trial in absentia under nigerian law. |

thorpido: You're still getting it wrong.I didn't say there was a guarantee that a child raised by both parents will turn out well.I'm talking about comparative studies done which show a higher percentage of well behaved children in both parents' homes compared with single parent homes.People have done researches so we're not talking about probabilities here but research studies. It's social science so there are works done on it. Note that it's a question of higher percentage. Can u supply the so-called research/studies |
Christianity Etc › Re: Anita Oyakhilome Gets Divorce Certificate by blackpanda: 4:42pm On Feb 18, 2016 |
thorpido: I understand where you are coming from.No one is condemning single parenthood but there's something called relativity. It's been proven that children raised by both parents fare better than children raised by single parents. You shld learn to distinguish probability from proof. And the probability is simply because one system is more traditional and therefore more popular than the other. There are simply no guarantees in raising children. Period. Whether married or single, the important thing is making your best efforts. There are even people who were raised by neither parents and still turned out well. Many of the older generation were raised by grandparent(s) |

Christianity Etc › Re: Anita Oyakhilome Gets Divorce Certificate by blackpanda: 3:31pm On Feb 18, 2016 |
thorpido: Actually, researches have been done to prove that children who grow with both parents are better than children who grow up with single parents. There was a thread where someone gave links to such researches. I'm lazy/busy to dig out links to show you.You can do a bit of google search to see if it's true.It doesn't mean that all children who grow up with both parents turn out well or that you don't have children raised by single parents who turn out well,it just means that there were more cases of delinquents in single-parent homes than where both parents are present. Well I dont know about that phantom "research" but at the very least we both agree that marriage is not a criteria for bringing up kids. Cos whether the parents are married or not is not a guarantee that they will have good kids. Its great to have two parents living under the same roof as the perfect family, but there is nothing wrong with single parenthood. |

thorpido: Naaah. You have to provide statistics if you want to argue this point.Even when the parents are busy, they still come home to meet the children and spend the greater part of the day with them on weekends. It's not the same as single parenthood. Moreover, the psycho-social effects are not the same. Statistics?? Really Does anybody keep those in nigeria. Anyway, all these are hypothetical situations, there's no evidence to say that children of single parents are bound to be worse than both parents. Actually there are kids brought up in homes with both parents that turn out to be monsters e.g adolf hitler |

OLADD: Expected junk from a mindless PDP Crucifier! For your information, I would be the last person to support corruption in any ramification but what puts me off is the myopic, thoughtless, selective, vindictive and senseless manner you people lay all corruption blames at the doorstep of PDP. Vilifying and condemning others would not exonerate you from your own sin and this applies to you and APC jingoists here on Nairaland and elsewhere. Nigeria finds herself in this current position because of the contributions of PDP, APC, APGA, you and me. So, stop all these nonsense of attributing the national woes to Jonathan or PDP, after all, Buhari once said Abacha was not corrupt simply because he benefitted from his govt. May God judge you all. The judgement will actually start from people like u that find it hard to accept responsibility because of selfish reasons. PDP ruled nigeria for 16yrs, there is nobody to blame but u guys. Truth is bitter, but it must be said. You can wail to high heavens if u like! |

Time for Nigerian youths to wake up nd fight for our own good I disagree with u. I never heard pdp unveil any scam or looting whatsoever.
